A soft knock came at the door and aunt Elsie opened it to find two strange guys on black sunglasses and well knotted black suit standing next to each otherwith a blue file in their hands.
Aunt Elsie was startled, she can tell from their faces it meant trouble, but she would rather not bulge or get intimidated with their obscure looks.
"How may I help young men?" She seethed, dragging her eyes from their head to toes, her voice was dainty and as well holds a small powerful tone.
"Is this Mrs. Kent?" The first man asked, and she nodded in response.
"Then, permit me to show you or perhaps read the content of our messages to you, is that okay with you?" The second man chipped in immediately, opening the file to probably read what's inside before letting her say a word...
************
"My Client hereby demands for the sole right and parental control of his son Herzl Feller's until his lawfully wedded wife is back to stable health." The second guy read the last paragraph and closed up his file, maintaining his standing posture as usual.
Aunt Elsie was definitely heating up, she could tell, something was happening to her, her eyes filled with rage and so much hatred. What did she just hear now, is Ryan trying to put out a fight with her? She tightened her fits on the door handle and raised her head to face the two young men again.
"I do not understand what your so-called client did, said or paid you guys to come here and spill this rubbish, run back boys and inform him, I won't buy any of it." She cooed, hervoice laced with anger.
She knew the game wasn't on a fair slide anymore for her to keep letting Ryan step on her toes continuously and keep winning. This time, her plans have to divert to something more yielding and that's to stop Ryan from anything he's planning to do.
Now, she's regretting framing and arresting Gerald, she could've waited and played along with him to buy his mind to her side. She feels like a wounded lioness, fighting alone.
"Hello Mrs. Kent!" The first man snapped his fingers and aunt Elsie was startled. She just came back from her trance of terrible plans to end Ryan once and for all, this time, it's a first shoot, and it's going to end, no mistake.
"Yes, what's that young man?" She asked, with no pity tone, he just distracted her Pleasurable plans on how to end Ryan who thinks he could return from no where to ruin her plans from onset, that's should be over her dead body.
"Well, ma'am. This is the birth certificate of my client's son and the approved DNA result indicating he's the biological father of the child in said content, if you have any disapprove of information, please go to court..."The second man read out with finality, adjusting his sunglasses to a proper direction, and set to take their leave.
"My client will be coming to claim what's rightfully his over the weekend, please don't make it difficult, there will be a severe punishment if you fail to comply, and you don't want to lose any more things , right?" The first man's words who stopped by before he finally takes his exit came as a shock to her.
She stood there with her hands shaking, her world was crumbling, did she come this farto fail, the hot tears streaming down her cheeks were enough to soak the Vietnam silk white shirt she was wearing?
Aunt Elsie closed the door and sat down on the floor, she was getting tired but if this was her last fight, she would do so and must win in the end. She looked up and saw a photo of Ciara and Herzl hanging right opposite of her on the wall. She rushed and hugged them tightly, her eyes were soaked with tears, and she couldn't hold them anymore. Not only that, but she let herself cry a river...
***********
Later that evening, Herzl was playing a game in his room when aunt Elsie walked in without the little boy noticing. He was sad, he looked depressed and missed his dear mother from the look on his face. Aunt Elsie stood by the door side and tears were rushing down. She was regretting so many things, hertaste for vengeance, her evil deeds and giving up Herzl to no other person but herenemy.
She already considered Ryan her biggest rival and enemy after he had proven himself an obstacle towards her on one ortwo occasions.
The love she has already developed for the little boy is big enough even if she's too centered with her quest for revenge, she can't still get to see him hurt, talk more of being taken away by that man. Ryan!!
Aunt Elsie sniffs, made Herzl to turn and see her crying. He was taken aback immediately and rushed to her.
"Are you crying again because of my mummy, don't worry. Uncle is here, and he promised to make her fine again." Herzl cajoled, wiping the tears dropping gently.
The word uncle is here triggered aunt Elsie tears the more, she had warned him not to mention his name or anything related, but here he is, still putting hope in the stranger he just met. She couldn't stop their bond, blood is thicker than water anyway and there's no way, come rain or sun, she would distance the two souls from reuniting.
She hugged him tighter and kissed his cheek. "I love you son, please keep in mind that no matter where life has thrown us into, I will do anything to make sure you grow into a fine young man." She advised still into a tight hug with Herzl, who stood quiet trying to understand what's going on with his aunt.
"What's going on with you auntie?" Herzl asked and disengaged from the hug, staring direct into her eyes. The cries are not a regular one anymore, and he can feel there's more to it and something is not spilling yet.
He stood akimbo and was exactly waiting on explanation from her, she owes him at the moment and aunt Elsie knows this is the right moment to speak or never find the opportunity anymore to free herself from the pain she's passing through.
At the moment, what coming to her is against her, she might have managed to penetrate the current level she's enjoying, but with her little investigation on Ryan, she knew, in a verbal conflict with him, she could neverwin due to his status in the society but, nevertheless, there are so many ways to kill a rat right?
Aunt Elsie chuckled both in laughter and in tears and cleaned the mucus running non-stop already. She held his hands and bring him closer.
"Your father sent words and is requesting for his parental rights to keep you with him." Aunt Elsie voiced out in a low and regrettable tone.
Herzl face changed immediately, hearing about his fatherwas no surprise to him. Even though his mum had told him nothing about his father, he's not interested to being happy over someone who doesn't even care about him since his birth.
"And who's my father?" He asked with so much anger laced in his voice.
