Triumph Of My Cheating Husband

Chapter139

Ch. 139 / 196 Sep 18, 2024

Before anyone could stop her, she had already ripped the files into tiny shreds, littering the floor of the room with the pieces from the shreds she had just made

-everyone in the room gasped in shock at Aunt Elsie's action.

"Now that I have destroyed the evidence you think you can use to oust me out of here, what did you think will become of you, boy?" Aunt Elsie asked him, her voice was thick and sharp. "The fact that you foolishly gave me the files without thinking it twice shows how immature you are -no foolish soul like you can outsmart me!"

Ryan stared blankly at her, insure of how to react. Aunt Elsie, on the flip side, was enjoying the confused look on his face -she was silently jubilating in her mind, wearing a dark grin on her face and not hiding her emotions at the moment.

"Tsk, tsk...!" Aunt Elsie clicked her tongue against her upper teeth, feigning a sad look on her face as she strutted towards the position where Ryan was standing. "Now, I

could not help but feel sorry foryou, realizing how I must have shattered your dreams and plans like this. Accept my condolences, boy!"

Ryan burst out into erupting laughter suddenly and unexpectedly, not only to Aunt Elsie, but to everyone else present. (Why would he be laughing this hard in the middle of a situation that is as sensitive as this?' They asked within themselves. (Has he suddenly gone mad?'

"Why are you laughing, boy?" Aunt Elsie asked him, herexpression had changed from that of shock to anger -she felt as if Ryan was trying to mock her. "What is so funny that would have made you laugh this hard, eh?"

Ryan's lips curled up into a thin line, a smirk evident at the corner of his lips. "Do you call this outsmarting? Shredding evidence, is that your definition of being a genius?" He asked. "If it is -then I must say, you are miles away from smart!"

"What...?!" Aunt Elsie blurted out sharply in anger, her eyes invincibly blazing fury

-that might be enough to burn Ryan to ashes if possible. "What did you just say, boy? Did you just insult me, eh?"

Ryan shook his head sideways slowly. "I did not insult you, woman!" He stated simply. "If you think I do -fine! I'm only telling you the hard truth no one else would have dared tell you!"

Aunt Elsie was furious at his choice of words, how dare he talk to her like that? "You..." Aunt Elsie pointed at him angrily. "You will pay for your insolence, I won't spare you for this! I promise, I won't!"

"Enough of this nonsense already, Mrs. Kent, enough!" Mr. Roberts enounced in a sharp tone. "You have caused more than enough trouble for the day already. Tell us why you are here, or you leave!"

"Is it not obvious...?" She scoffs with irritation in her voice, still fuming in anger. "You all conspired against me and just ousted me out behind my back without no prior notice, isn't that enough reason to cause all of this trouble?"

"No, it is not!" One of the executives pointed out in annoyance. "You are supposed to get penalized for your insolence, but for today, we'll just let it slide. It won't be as easy as this the next time you step your foot here without our consent, you wouldn't like what will be done to you the day you repeat this!"

"What do you mean by (the next time I step my foot here', eh?" Aunt Elsie enounced in a sharp yet blunt tone. "The Fellers' Firm still have all the rights to this place, why will you stop me from coming here?"

"The Fellers Firm owned part ofthis company and not you, Mrs. Kent!" Another member of the executives solicited. "We can't allow you here except we are having a business proposal with you -you aren't part of this company to begin with."

"You can't do this to me, you can't just cast me away because of him!" She insisted, feeling insulted at their choice of judgement. "This isn't right, and you all know this!"

"This isn't our decision to start with, it is Ms. Fellers!" Mr. Robert told her. "We can't go against her order because she's not here anymore; this is even the reason we must carry out her order."

"Even if we should go against her order..." Another added. "It's not with this kind of behaviour you are putting on -you are being so petty at the moment, and we can't afford to lose on the both side."

Aunt Elsie was forced to realize they've made their decision already, going hard with them won't sort anything out. There must be a way to make them take their words back, but not with the kind of attitude she's putting up towards them -it won't help!

What was she supposed to do at that moment to make them avert their decision and take back their words? Aunt Elsie knows she has to think fast before it's too late, and ends up losing the company to Ryan.

The more she tries thinking of something to say -anything, the more confused she is. Her brain seems to have stopped functioning at the moment, leaving her alone to her fate and to face the executives herself.

Aunt Elsie opened her mouth to talk, but Mr. Robert beat her to it. "If you are trying to convince us to go back on ourwords, Mrs. Kent..." He begins with a strict tone. "Please, don't because the decision has already been made, and we have given Mr. Lerman our words."

Aunt Elsie was consumed with trepidation, the thought of it shattering her internally. "What if all this is nothing but a lie, will you not take your words back?" She managed to utter.

Mr. Robert's brow creased tightly in confusion. "What do you mean?" He asked.

"If I can prove Ryan here made all of these up with the contract inclusive." She stated calmly. "I can finally have all of these back, right?"

The executives were short of the right words to reply to her with, each wearing an obfuscated look due to her choice of words. Aunt Elsie had managed to ticklishly hook them with her words, what's left for her is to find every possible way to prove Ryan as nothing but a liar and a man who is just hungry for wealth.
