Morena:
I could not believe what happened to me a few hours ago. The humiliation kept gnawing at my insides. Osk would not shut up either. She keeps saying his wolf had nothing to do with what went down between us. Her nagging was not helping. I felt so small and helpless as I sat on the edge of the balcony. It was so high up, I felt dizzy each time I looked down. It crossed my mind if I would die immediately if I jump head first. Or if I will survive and heal back up. I could not test either theory though. Because Rena popped in mind each time.
The door to the room opened some time later. I had lost track of time and sun had already set. It was not Rena or Asher because they both usually knock before entering. It only left one person and that was Leander. The last thing I wanted right now was to see him. I feel nothing but repulse towards him after what he pulled on me this morning and my ass was still sore from the spanking. I never healed like other werewolves. My healing abilities were always slower than others. It took me about a day to heal from a scratch while others healed in a few minutes or hours tops. I had closed the door to the balcony after I came out here and I wondered if he could see me. I am sure my presence is there even if I was invisible. But I could not explain the angry aura that started spreading. Why is he so pissed off all the freaking time?
The balcony door opened and he came out. He was indeed pissed and I felt a shiver run down my spine. What if he was not satisfied with his punishment earlier? What if he is here to hurt me?
“What are you doing out here? I told you to stay in the goddamn room.” He hissed staring daggers at me.
“The balcony is a part of the room, Leander. So technically I did not disobey your orders.” I answered back aloofly.
“Don't try to be a smartass with me, Morena.” He said getting close to me and trapping me on the edge. Why the hell did I it here?
“I am just stating a fact, you know.” I swear to God my mouth has a mind of its own.
“Careful, mate. It will only take me a split second to snap this pretty little neck of yours.” His hands moved from my sides to my neck. And his thumb was caressing my rapidly increasing pulse. “How long do you think it will take you to heal if I push you down?” He wondered. His grip tightening around my neck even more.
“I probably won’t make it if you push me.” I answered in a whisper. He was starting to cut my airway.
“And why is that?” he replied with a lift of his brow.
“I don’t heal as fast as others.”
“You are a werewolf, Morena. What's that supposed to mean?”
“You know that not all of us are built the same right? I was never a fast healer so if you push me, I will be dead before I can even begin to heal.” I explained in a quiet whisper.
“Interesting. Very interesting, I must say. I can not wait to test the limits to that, mate.” He said with a dark smirk. “We have better things to attend to now.”
“What do you mean?” I asked nervously. I began to understand that I should expect the unexpected from Leander.
“You did not think I was here to just chat with you right? We have unfinished business to get done.”
“What are you talking about.?”
“You and I are going to have some bonding time if you know what I mean. We are going to connect. “He said with a tone filled with mischief.
“Whatever it is you are planning, I am not on board. “I said back.
“You think you can deny me, mate. I bet your body is already buzzing with excitement at my closeness. I can only imagine what will happen when I touch you.” He added with a smirk.
I pushed him out of my way and he surprisingly let go. I hopped down and went straight to the room. I thought I had some time to get over what happened this morning before I had to see him again but I was wrong. The sight of him had me choking up with tears all over again.
