Third Person's POV
"What?" Blake's expression froze for a moment. The next second, he grabbed his coat and rushed out the door.
As he hurriedly put on his jacket, he called out to Patricia, "Grandma, I'm heading out!"
Patricia, noticing his frantic demeanor, had no idea what was going on. She chased after him, asking a few questions, but Blake didn't answer. He quickly got into his car, called his assistant, and sped off toward the scene where Leo was causing trouble.
Inside the hotel, a group of men were shouting and cursing. On the nearby sofa, a man sat slumped over.
He had been wearing a mask earlier, but now it was off, revealing a strikingly handsome yet arrogant face—Leo.
Next to him, several men were nursing their injuries. One of them held a hand to his face, blood trickling down his forehead. They had ganged up on Leo earlier, but when his mask fell off, they froze in fear and stopped attacking. Despite that, Leo was still battered and bruised, looking utterly disheveled.
"Is he insane? He's the one who kicked Sunny away, and now he's acting like some hero?" one of the men muttered.
"Shut up! Stop talking!" the leader of the group snapped at his companions, then glanced nervously at Leo.
Leo looked pained, and combined with his drunken state, he was gradually losing consciousness.
"What do we do? We hit him…" The men began to panic.
"It's not like we started it! Even if his family shows up, he can't blame us!" another man argued indignantly.
"You idiots! You wanted to sleep with Sunny, huh? Well, now you might be sleeping in a jail cell!" the leader barked, clearly furious with his men.
"Bro, you promised me! You said you'd get Sunny out for us to have some fun!"
"Enough!" The leader's face turned pale. He raised his hand, ready to strike the man who spoke.
Just then, a group of people hurried into the hotel.
At the front was a man with an imposing presence, his aura commanding silence from everyone in the room. It was Blake.
As Blake approached, he took in the chaotic scene—broken glass scattered across the floor, spilled alcohol, and smashed fruit. His eyes turned icy.
"What happened?" Blake asked a nearby hotel manager.
The manager quickly explained, "Mr. Chavez, I'm not entirely sure how the fight started, but Leo was the one who threw the first punch. He used this bottle—see? He injured that man's head."
Blake's gaze shifted to a man holding a towel to his head, pressing down hard.
When the man met Blake's eyes, he visibly trembled, clearly terrified.
"Why did he hit you?" Blake asked directly.
One of the men stammered, "We don't know! He must've been drunk out of his mind, gone crazy or something."
"He doesn't hit people without reason," Blake said coldly. He knew Leo well—he wasn't the type to lash out randomly.
The men's faces turned uneasy. The leader stepped forward, apologizing profusely, "Mr. Chavez, we're so sorry. We didn't know he was your family. Things got out of hand—he attacked my man first, and we… we fought back. We didn't mean to cause trouble. We'll cover his medical expenses, of course."
"Do you think I care about medical expenses?" Blake's voice was like ice as he glared at the man. "I'm asking you why he hit you. What are you hiding? Too scared to tell the truth?"
The man felt as if he'd been plunged into freezing water, cold sweat breaking out as he trembled uncontrollably.
The younger man who had been hit, perhaps emboldened by his youth, couldn't stand seeing his leader cower like this. In their eyes, their leader was a formidable figure, yet here he was, groveling before Blake.
"I just said I wanted to sleep with Sunny, and he smashed a bottle over my head!" the young man blurted out.
That statement revealed everything. Blake's face darkened, a dangerous glint in his eyes. He let out a cold laugh. "You said you wanted to sleep with who?"
"Sunny! What's the big deal? Aren't they broken up? Does he still get to control who she sleeps with?" the young man retorted, as if he had the upper hand.
The atmosphere in the room turned suffocating. It felt like the next second could turn into a bloodbath. Everyone instinctively took a step back, fearing they'd be caught in the crossfire.
The young man who had spoken out suddenly received a hard slap from his leader.
"I told you to shut up! Would it kill you to keep your mouth closed?" the leader roared, looking like he wanted to tape the man's mouth shut.
"How you beat Leo is how I'll beat you," Blake said coldly. With that, six tall, burly bodyguards stepped forward from behind him.
