My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 376

Ch. 376 / 530 May 01, 2026

Third Person's POV

Sunny then took a good look at herself from head to toe. 'Oh no, how had me let myself look like a ghost?'

"Wait a moment, I'll tidy up!" Sunny said, then ran into her bedroom and shut the door behind her.

Leo frowned. Was this woman really planning to give up on herself entirely?

Sunny picked out a decent-looking outfit from her wardrobe, washed her face, combed her long hair, and came out again. To her embarrassment, she saw Leo bending down to clean up the snacks on her desk. His noble figure, squatting on the ground with his fingers meticulously picking up the mess, made Sunny feel utterly mortified.

"Did you live this poorly when you were alone?" Leo asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he continued to clean.

Sunny quickly rushed over to help, replying in a low voice, "Of course not. I was doing fine before. It's just that I've been in a bad mood these past few days and haven't been tidying up."

"Breaking up with me made you feel bad?" Leo sneered.

Sunny bit her lower lip, unable to respond.

Wasn't that the case?

Leo straightened up, realizing there was no way he could save her room from its current state. He then asked indifferently, "Have you eaten anything tonight?"

Sunny honestly shook her head, "No."

"Come on, I'll take you to get something to eat." Leo suddenly took her hand and started walking towards the door.

The casual remark from Leo left Sunny stunned. She stood rooted to the spot, her clear eyes flickering on Leo's face. She looked down to see his fingers spread, gripping her wrist tightly. The warmth from his palm seemed to chase away the chill of the cold winter day.

Sunny was surprised. How could Leo's palm be so warm?

It was as if he intended to dispel all the cold she had felt these past few days.

Seeing her standing there in a daze, Leo's deep eyes narrowed slightly, and his voice carried a hint of impatience, "What's the matter? Don't you want to eat?"

Sunny snapped out of her trance, her eyes misting over as she looked into his. When she spoke, her voice was slightly choked, "Why... why are you still taking me out to eat? We broke up, didn't we?"

Sunny felt that breaking up meant becoming even more distant than strangers. But now, what was this situation? Leo had barged into her home, took her hand, and wanted to take her out to eat. It seemed even more heart-stirring than when they were still together.

Leo's face froze for a moment, clearly not expecting her to ask him that.

"Who says that after breaking up, we can't meet or eat together?" Unable to answer directly, Leo countered with a question.

Sunny was taken aback. No one had actually set such a rule, but...

She still felt something was off.

"Leo, let's just forget it. We've already hurt each other. It's better not to meet anymore. I can't bear to hear you talk about breaking up again. It's better to..." Although Sunny's heart was in turmoil, filled with the urge to throw herself into his arms, she ultimately suppressed it with reason. She felt that while Leo could casually invite her out whenever he wanted, she couldn't allow herself to become so indulged, because the more she loved, the more she would be unable to extricate herself.

Leo had already understood her meaning. His grip on her hand suddenly loosened, and he folded his arms across his chest, looking down at her with an expression that seemed to be scrutinizing her, his voice carrying an ambiguous tone, "You're not really planning to break up with me, are you?"

Sunny shuddered. It sounded as if she was the one who wanted to break up.

"Who exactly wanted to break up? Can you be reasonable for once?" Sunny didn't want to take the blame for something she hadn't done. It was he who had publicly announced their breakup in front of the reporters. How could he now shift the blame onto her?

Leo furrowed his brows, thinking carefully. It seemed he was indeed being unreasonable.

"Can't you tell that I was trying to provoke you?" Leo retorted.

Sunny's face was a picture of confusion as she bit her lip, "How was I supposed to know? You looked so serious."

"The breakups and makeups in the entertainment industry are just an excuse for hyping. Haven't you noticed that since I broke up with you, your popularity has skyrocketed? You've become the queen of topics now," Leo continued, choosing his words carefully.

Sunny let out a dry laugh, "Yeah, ninety-nine percent of the topics are about how I deserved to be kicked out by you. If this is what you call a popularity boom, then I have nothing to say."

"Are you going to go out to eat with me or not?" Leo didn't want to dwell on these issues anymore. He was hungry. He hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch.

"I won't go." Sunny sat down on the sofa with a huff, "Leo, I have something to tell you."

Sunny had suddenly remembered the recording. She felt that for Olivia's safety, it was better to warn Leo in advance, to let him know that Richard was a heartless villain and to be on guard against him.
