My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 357

Ch. 357 / 530 May 01, 2026

Third Person's POV

Leo sat on the sofa directly opposite the hospital bed, his hands constantly flipping a mobile phone.

The thought of how tightly this woman had concealed things from him made his heart feel stifled.

He began to doubt how genuine her feelings for him were.

Perhaps her intentions for getting close to him were becoming increasingly clear—was she trying to atone for her despicable Olivia?

On what grounds did she beg for his forgiveness? Shouldn't mistakes be punished?

"Mmm..." Sunny, on the hospital bed, let out a faint moan, seemingly due to discomfort.

Then, her tightly closed eyes slowly opened, revealing the white ceiling and the IV drip hanging nearby.

'Was this a hospital?'

Sunny suddenly sat up, only to meet a pair of dark eyes, their depths flickering with cold light as if carrying a Siberian chill, causing her to gasp in fright.

"Did you bring me to the hospital? Thanks." Sunny vaguely remembered the last moment before she fainted, so she was certain that Leo was the one who brought her here.

"Where is Olivia?" Leo stared intently at her still pale face, his voice cold and enunciated each word clearly.

"You... didn't find her?" Sunny's eyes widened in surprise. She had assumed that by now, Olivia would have been found, perhaps even taken to the police station for investigation. Hearing Leo's question, she shuddered violently.

'Had Olivia escaped again?'

Leo stood up from the sofa, striding with his long, straight legs, approaching her step by step, his voice laced with cold anger. "You still refuse to tell me the truth, don't you? Sunny, don't test my patience. Don't think that because we've had a few happy moments, Olivia's crimes can be wiped away."

Sunny's face turned even paler from his words, her hands subconsciously clutching the blanket tightly, biting her lip, and she whispered in explanation, "I really don't know where she went. I did see her at the farm last time, but I thought she would stay there. I don't know where she is now."

"Do you think I'll believe that?" Leo was now standing in front of her, looking down at her frightened face, and he snorted coldly, "Your face is really good at deceiving. The more innocent you pretend to be, the more convincing your lies become, right?"

"Leo, I'm really not lying to you this time!" Sunny's face flushed with a mix of embarrassment and anger from his sarcasm.

She didn't get angry. No matter how Leo mocked her, she endured it silently because she felt she deserved it.

"You've really disappointed me." Seeing that she still wouldn't say anything, a flash of anger crossed Leo's handsome face.

Sunny quickly lowered her eyes, tears welling up in her eyes. She covered her face with her hands and sobbed, "I'm sorry. I lied to you because I didn't want Olivia to be caught and go to jail."

Leo wanted to berate her harshly, but suddenly noticed that she had raised her hand with the needle, bending the needle tube and causing bright red blood to flow back. His eyes flickered for a moment.

"Olivia begged me not to tell you for now. Leo, I'm sorry. I shouldn't be with you anymore. Let me go. We shouldn't have been together in the first place." Sunny's mind was in chaos as she spoke incoherently.

A complex gleam flashed in Leo's cold eyes, a gleam that held anger, reluctance, and a deep sense of betrayal. His voice carried a clear mocking tone, "Are you breaking up with me?"

In the world of werewolves, once a mate bond is formed, it signifies a deep connection and commitment.

Sunny's words were like a sharp blade, piercing straight into his heart, causing a storm of emotions to surge within him, with anger and mockery rising naturally.

Hearing the word "break up," Sunny's face froze instantly, stunned for several seconds.

She slowly lifted her head, her eyes blurred with tears, looking pitiful.

In the werewolf community, the dissolution of a mate bond was an extremely painful event. Sunny was well aware of the potential consequences of her deceitful actions, but at this moment, she still found it hard to bear the pain of losing Leo.

"I... I didn't mean that. I just feel too ashamed..." Sunny tried to explain in a broken voice but found her explanations too weak.

She had deceived him. How could she expect him to treat her as well as before?

Even if she put herself in his shoes, she couldn't easily forgive such a betrayal.

"Do you understand what breaking up means? You'll fall from heaven to hell in an instant. Aren't you afraid?" From her bewildered expression, Leo still detected her determination to leave him.

He let out a cold laugh, feeling it necessary to remind her.

All the fame and status she now possessed were given to her by him.

He had lifted her up, but she was determined to jump down and suffer the painful consequences on her own.

"I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid of anything now." Sunny bit her lips tightly, thinking that even if she couldn't be a star, couldn't make money, and became penniless, it would be better than betraying the one she loved and enduring the torment and condemnation of her conscience.
