My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 351

Ch. 351 / 530 May 01, 2026

Third Person's POV

In the morning, at the breakfast table, Blake brought up the engagement.

Everyone in the family was supportive, without any objections.

In the world of werewolves, marriages between families often had more profound meanings. They are not only about strengthening the bond between two families but also a consideration for the future expansion of power.

Therefore, their families felt that Blake and Catherine's engagement was a delightful and well-supported event.

Especially Emerson, who rarely came downstairs to have breakfast, was excited upon hearing about their engagement.

He said loudly, "Great, let's get this settled quickly!" His loud voice seemed to carry the anticipation of the family's increasingly prosperous future.

Hedwig, stirring her oatmeal in the bowl, pouted and asked, "After Daddy and Mommy get engaged, can they have another sister for me?"

The innocent words from the little one instantly froze the atmosphere at the table.

Everyone's expressions flickered with a hint of embarrassment, and then Patricia asked with a smile, "Hedwig, why do you always want a sister? Why don't you want a little brother?"

Hedwig, curled her lips and responded, "I don't want a brother. Boys will be as dull and boring as Noah in the future!"

Noah, who was implicated, still had the grace of an older brother and decided not to quarrel with Hedwig.

Everyone was amused by Hedwig's words and laughed.

Catherine's face turned red, and Blake noticed her shyness. He quietly wrapped his arm around her slender waist under the table.

In the relationship between werewolf partners, physical contact often conveys a silent love and protection, allowing each other to feel the unique intimacy and peace.

Catherine was startled and quickly pushed away Blake's hand.

Although she also knew about the usual intimacy between werewolf partners, she still felt somewhat embarrassed in front of the elders and the children.

"Hedwig, no talking during meals. Don't you remember?" Catherine was afraid that the little one would say something surprising again and quickly stopped her in a low voice.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Mommy!" Hedwig responded and became the well-behaved child again.

"Catherine, are you on holiday? If not, you should go to work. I will take good care of the two children," Patricia was now even better to Catherine, perhaps because there was a turning point in Abigail's matter, and her resentment towards Halsey had also lessened.

In the world of werewolves, the relationships within the family are complex. Once the contradictions are resolved, the harmonious atmosphere will also make the interactions among all family members more harmonious, and everyone will cherish this hard-won peace more.

"No need, Grandma. I will stay at home to play with them," Catherine had already asked Melinda for leave and planned to go back to work after the holidays.

"Alright." Patricia saw that she had made up her mind and did not insist further.

Sunny caught a cold because she didn't keep warm in the cold weather.

For werewolves, although they have stronger physiques and resistance than ordinary people, they can still get sick if they are in extreme environments for a long time or are overworked and neglect their own care.

In the middle of the night, her frail body curled up in Leo's arms, trembling.

Although her body was burning hot, she felt alternately cold and hot, and her head was dizzy and heavy.

Leo, in his sleep, held Sunny's slender waist tightly with his arms as strong as steel.

As a werewolf, even in his sleep, he had an instinctive perception of his mate's scent and condition.

He sensed that the heat of Sunny in his arms was abnormal. Although he usually enjoyed the warmth of her body, this heat made him alert.

He reached out and touched her, who was already too hot.

Leo frowned and stretched his arm out from under the covers to turn on the bedside lamp.

The dim light made Sunny feel uncomfortable. She frowned and raised a hand to block the light.

Then, Leo's large hand was placed on her fair forehead, and the temperature was still high.

Leo remembered that there was a first-aid kit at home, so he got up and found it in the utility room. He took out a thermometer to take Sunny's temperature.

When his fingers reached under Sunny's nightgown, they unexpectedly touched a soft area.

The next moment, Sunny weakly reached out her hand, grabbed Leo's hand, and pleaded, "Leo, don't. I have a headache."

Leo heard her mumbling and couldn't help but smile.

She was so sick, and he wouldn't possibly have the mind to tease her.

"You have a fever. I'm taking your temperature. Don't move," Leo said, gently removing her hand and placing the thermometer under her tongue.

Sunny seemed to understand his words and stayed still.

Five minutes later, Leo took out the thermometer and saw that it had risen to 102 degrees Fahrenheit.
