My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 353

Ch. 353 / 530 May 01, 2026

Third Person's POV

"Pregnant?" Sunny's mind buzzed, going blank for a moment, then she hurriedly said, "That should be quite unlikely. We always took precautions."

"I know, but precautions aren't one hundred percent effective. I'm just looking out for you because there are many medications that pregnant women shouldn't take." The doctor patiently explained to her.

"Oh! Alright then." Sunny's expression stiffened slightly, and then she was forced to recall every moment she was with Leo, thinking of those blush-inducing and heart-racing scenes, her pale cheeks flushed with a rosy hue.

Leo sat on the sofa outside the door, and as soon as he saw her come out, he immediately asked, "Did you get the medicine?"

"The doctor wants me to get a blood test. She's worried I might be pregnant." Sunny let out a bitter smile.

"What?" Leo's eyes lit up instantly.

For werewolves, the conception of new life is a joyous event for the family, and having a child with one's beloved is an even more profound happiness and anticipation of a blood connection.

So when Leo heard this news, a sense of joy instinctively welled up inside him.

Although it wasn't certain whether she was really pregnant, just the possibility was enough to excite him.

While Sunny was speaking, she lowered her head and didn't see the fleeting excitement in Leo's eyes.

"What should we do? I've thought carefully, and my period is indeed delayed by many days." Sunny was still desperately trying to remember the time of her last period.

She felt a bit panicked inside, as her career was currently on an upward trajectory, and if she really were pregnant, many plans would be disrupted.

Yet, deep down, there was a different emotion stirring. After all, it was a life conceived with Leo, and the complex feelings intertwined, causing her brows to furrow.

"Let's go. Get the test done." Her slender shoulders were suddenly touched by a warm, large hand, and then Leo led her towards the blood-drawing room.

Leo seemed expressionless, but inside, he was equally nervous, on one hand hoping that there really was a new life, and on the other hand worried that Sunny would be too anxious about it and affect her mood.

As a werewolf, he was used to burying these complex emotions deep inside, only showing his care for Sunny through actions.

"What if I really am pregnant? We should be more careful in the future, or we'll eventually have problems," Sunny thought Leo must be worried about the pregnancy as well, which was why he was silent.

Leo's handsome eyebrows furrowed, and he said, "I'm a man. It's hard to restrain myself."

Werewolves have strong instinctual desires, especially when facing their beloved partners. The longing for emotional closeness often makes it difficult for them to control themselves. Although Leo's words were true, they left Sunny at a loss for how to respond.

Sunny was at a loss for words. Didn't Leo fear her getting pregnant?

If she really was, she might lose her leading role in the newly announced period drama.

The thought of another woman acting opposite Leo caused a pang of jealousy in her heart.

In the emotional world of werewolf partners, jealousy and possessiveness were instinctual parts, and the pain Sunny felt at the moment stemmed from her deep care for Leo, not wanting other women to have a chance to get close to him.

She had become increasingly familiar with the taste of jealousy and envy.

During the blood draw, Sunny became nervous again. She was afraid of pain.

"Don't be afraid. It'll be over soon," Leo whispered in her ear to comfort her.

As a werewolf, Leo had a strong aura and power, but when facing Sunny's fragile and fearful appearance, his tone became exceptionally gentle, wanting only to give her enough security to help her relax.

Sunny nodded, turned her head, and then felt a sharp prick.

While waiting for the results, both of them looked somewhat anxious, especially Sunny, who sincerely hoped she wasn't pregnant.

But Leo's expression was inscrutable, his deep eyes full of churning emotions, making it impossible to guess what he was thinking.

"Leo, I mean, hypothetically, what if I really am pregnant? What would we do?" Sunny asked nervously.

"If you're pregnant, of course we'll have the baby!" Leo's tone was very firm.

Sunny's expression stiffened slightly, and then she was speechless.

What could they do?

If there really was a new life, she would become a mom.

Although her career and other aspects might be affected, as a woman, the natural maternal love and reluctance for the potential life in her womb would still well up inside her.

The results came out, and the doctor walked over, announcing, "You're not pregnant."

Sunny's tense mood relaxed instantly, and she breathed evenly.

She felt relieved, thinking she wouldn't have to face those thorny choices for the time being, but there was also an inexplicable sense of loss in her heart. She herself couldn't quite distinguish these complex emotions.

However, Leo, sitting beside her, had a flash of disappointment in his eyes. He had been hoping the doctor would smile and congratulate him.

It turned out to be a false alarm.

After getting the cold medicine, the two walked out of the hospital's main gate.

Sunny noticed that Leo beside her was silent, as if he suddenly had many more worries.

"What's wrong?" Sunny asked him in a low voice.

"Nothing," Leo was still a bit gloomy. He couldn't say, "I'm disappointed that you're not pregnant," could he? Such sentimental words just didn't seem like something he could utter.
