Third Person's POV
At that moment, a middle-aged woman emerged from inside, her face turning pale with fright at the sight of a group of people intruding on her farm.
"Sir, why have you broken into my farm? Is there something you need?" This woman was Teresa, who feigned surprise as she stepped forward to inquire.
"Bring Olivia out!" Leo said with a stern expression.
"Olivia? She's not here!" Teresa immediately shook her head in response.
"Do you really think we'll believe that?" Leo suddenly turned around, grabbing Sunny who was walking last, and said with a gloomy face, "Didn't she come here looking for Olivia? Stop wasting time and bring her out."
Sunny's face had already turned pale, devoid of any color, and her body was on the verge of collapsing.
Teresa looked at Sunny, her face clearly showing a look of reproach, "Sunny, how could you do this? Do you have any idea..."
"Teresa, I..."
Sunny tried to explain, but found that anything she said would be wrong, so she fell silent again.
Teresa said indignantly, "But she's your family. You know how scared she is. You're being so rude!"
Hearing this, Sunny felt her legs go weak and her vision blur.
Seeing her sway dangerously, Leo coldly remarked, "Don't pretend to faint here. It won't work."
Already terrified, Sunny's taut nerves snapped at his harsh words, and she truly fainted, her eyes rolling back.
Although Leo had scolded her coldly, when she started to fall, his arm instinctively shot out, catching her and holding her tightly in his embrace.
Teresa, seeing this, quickly exclaimed, "Sunny, what's wrong with you?"
Sunny's sudden collapse changed the expressions of everyone present, especially Leo, who was filled with anger.
What on earth was this woman trying to do?
She was the one who had deceived them, brought this on herself, and now she thought she could just close her eyes and be done with it?
There were no such easy ways out in this world.
Leo's eyes were filled with irritation, his thin lips pursed as he said, "Blake, search the place. I don't believe she can hide forever!"
Blake immediately gave a signal to the six bodyguards in black behind him.
Teresa, witnessing this, though she wanted to stop them, after a moment's thought, she stepped aside and said, "Gentlemen, there's no need to search. She's not here. She left the day before yesterday and wouldn't tell me where she was going. Your trip has been in vain."
Hearing Teresa's words, their faces turned as cold as ice.
"Where did she go? As her friend, she wouldn't tell you?" Blake questioned coldly.
Teresa, with a worried expression, replied, "I truly don't know. I'm not even clear on why you're looking for her. She only said she had run into some terrible trouble and needed to stay with me for a few days. Although we're friends, she didn't want to involve me, so after Sunny came looking for her last time, she left that very afternoon."
Teresa's words made Leo's expression even more unpleasant.
Indeed, this woman had seen Olivia before, and it was detestable that she would lie so blatantly to him.
The farm wasn't large, with only a few rooms where someone could potentially hide.
The bodyguards spread out, each searching a different area, but in the end, they found no one.
Teresa sighed and said, "I'm telling you the truth. She's really not here anymore.
"Sir, how is Sunny? She looks quite ill. Could you take her to the hospital to get checked out?"
"She deserves it." Leo cursed viciously.
Blake ultimately decided to leave, but before departing, he left two men behind.
He believed that if Olivia were to return, they would surely catch her. Even if she wasn't found in the rooms, she couldn't hide forever.
"Leo, take her to the hospital," Blake said in a deep voice.
Leo nodded, bending down to carry the unconscious Sunny in his arms horizontally.
On the way back, Leo took a ride in one of Blake's cars. It seemed that this trip had yielded no results.
They didn't ride in the same car. At this moment, Leo, holding the unconscious Sunny, sat with a stern face leaning against the back of the seat.
The scenery outside the car window kept receding, and his mind was in turmoil, filled with disappointment and anger.
The taste of being deceived was unpleasant, especially by the woman he loved, which made him question their relationship.
His dark, deep eyes lowered, gazing at Sunny's pale, delicate face.
In the cold winter, her forehead was covered with a layer of fine cold sweat. A row of thick, long eyelashes framed her tightly closed eyes. Her features were exquisite, exuding a pure quality.
Leo reached out and touched her hand, finding it cold as ice, devoid of warmth.
Upon arriving in the city, Leo took Sunny to the hospital. The doctor's diagnosis after examination was temporary shock due to excessive stimulation, no serious harm, coupled with her existing cold and weakened state. She just needed a good sleep and some nutrition to wake up.
The doctor started an IV drip for Sunny, and in the large ward, the air seemed to solidify.
