Third Person's POV
"They said bad words about you!" Leo's face clouded with a layer of gloom.
Sunny became even more curious. "They said bad words about me? I haven't even been out."
"Those bastards insulted you, so I couldn't stand it and got into a fight with them," Leo recounted the situation of the fight, which left Sunny even more astonished.
"So, you got into a fight for me? Did you win?" Sunny asked, her heart aching as she looked at his injuries. It didn’t seem like he had won.
Leo turned his face slightly, revealing a charming smile. "Win or lose, at least you should know that I'd fight for you."
Sunny felt a warm current flow through her heart, sweetening her entire being.
"Next time something like this happens, don't fight. I don't want you getting hurt for me," Sunny said, her heart feeling sweeter than honey. The thought of him fighting for her was incredibly touching.
"I don't want to hear those bastards' nonsense," Leo's expression remained gloomy.
Sunny couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, what did they say about me that made you so angry?"
"They said they wanted to sleep with you!" Leo's voice inexplicably deepened as he spoke, "I won't allow it. You are my woman."
Sunny was stunned. Her eyes blinked rapidly. "Those bastards really have dirty mouths. How could they say such things?"
"Yeah, they deserved a lesson," Leo muttered.
After her initial anger, Sunny thought again about what he had just said—she was his woman?
Why did those words sound so sweet?
"Leo, don't you think our relationship is strange? One moment we're good, the next we're bad. There's no sense of security at all. But somehow, I don't hate you. In fact, I miss you more and more," Sunny summarized their relationship, finding it utterly bizarre.
"Maybe it's true what they say—women love bad boys. I'm good to you sometimes, bad other times, and that's why you're falling deeper for me," Leo joked, pulling a random explanation out of thin air.
Sunny pouted. "I'm not an appliance. Why should my feelings go up and down like that?"
Leo's mood improved. Indeed, only this woman could lift his spirits. Now that he knew how much she meant to him, how could he ever push her away again?
"By the way, what did you think of that recording?" Sunny finally felt relaxed enough to bring up the topic.
"Angry. Heartbroken," Leo said, his expression darkening instantly.
"I think you and Blake should be on guard. Richard is really a bad person!" Sunny advised.
"I know he's not a good person, but I didn't expect him to be this bad," Leo said with self-mockery.
"I really should have told you about that recording earlier. I shouldn't have hidden Olivia's whereabouts from you. Now she's really disappeared, and I can't find her. I'm so worried that Richard will find her. That would be really horrible," Sunny covered her face with her hands, regretting her decision, feeling that it was a mistake.
"Blake and I are also worried about this. Richard must be looking for her too. If he finds her first, Olivia will really be in mortal danger," Leo had wanted to see her regretful expression before, but now that he saw it, he strangely felt no satisfaction. Instead, he felt that he had put too much pressure on her, causing her distress and making it hard for her to breathe.
"Can I report this to the police? I'm sure they'll help me find her," Sunny asked, her voice filled with despair.
"Yes, you're her relative. You can file a report," Leo nodded.
"Then I'll go to the police station first thing tomorrow. I want them to help me find Olivia," Sunny said, feeling utterly lost and helpless.
"Alright," Leo agreed. He also wanted to find Olivia, but the situation was complicated. Blake didn't want the matter to surface too soon, so deciding when to have Olivia testify required careful consideration.
"Leo, why aren't you asking me about Olivia's whereabouts anymore?" Sunny noticed that Leo wasn't as aggressive as before. Did the recording make Olivia's existence less important to them?
"That recording is enough evidence," Leo said calmly.
Sunny's face instantly turned pale. Indeed, Olivia's life and death had become unimportant to the Royal Pack.
Sunny began to feel uneasy. She realized her previous decision was wrong. She had thought she was giving Olivia more time to think things through, but now that she had lost her value, that was the greatest danger she faced.
Leo drove through several traffic lights, noticing how quiet Sunny had become. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "What are you thinking about now?"
Sunny hesitated several times, wanting to bring up the topic but feeling it was too much to ask. She couldn't just say that she was worried about Olivia's safety and wanted him to continue searching for her.
Such a request was too difficult to voice.
