I waited for Sophia to come back home but she never did.
I didn't know why I cared when usually I do not care if she was around or sleeping but suddenly I wanted to see that she was home first and because of that I couldn't sleep
Mathew was yet to inform me about anything and it was bothering me a lot.
"Sir, should we serve the food?" Sarah asked.
I have been seated in the dining waiting for Sophia to come. I didn't have any intentions to eat today but since I couldn't sleep and I wanted to see her come in, I demanded that dinner be made.
"No," I replied her firmly.
"Sarah," I called after some minutes.
"Yes sir," she answered.
"Did Sophia by chance tell you when she will be coming?" I asked her, not wanting to sound concerned and I wasn't concerned.
"Sophia? She said she won't be returning to the mansion until tomorrow," Sarah informed me and I creased my brows.
I had forgotten her little conversation with Sarah earlier today. She did mention staying with her parents for two days and it only rose my suspicion once again.
I got up from the table and attempted to walk away when Sarah asked me a question. "Sir, are you no longer going to eat?"
"No," I replied firmly before going into my room.
I dialed Mathew's number so that I can hear from him about the current situation.
"Anything suspicious?" I asked Mathew the moment he answered the call.
"No. Not at all. Besides she has been in the mansion all day."
He answered and I frowned.
"I didn't ask you to stalk her alone. You need to do other research too. I need every little detail about the Cox family. I want to know the reason behind their company almost going bankrupt and about Mr. Cox himself!" I chided.
"I know. I am also on that and so when I finalize everything, I will get back to you," he answered.
I pinched the bridge of my nose in anger as I wasn't getting the answer I wanted.
"Fine. Remember, no mistakes, okay?" I reminded.
"Yes sir," he replied before I ended the call.
SOPHIA CASTILLO
It felt so nice being in my room and on my bed after a long time.
I felt at ease and a sweet feeling danced in the pit of my belly. I wasn't nervous or worried about Adrian's presence and thinking of Adrian only made me remember last night when he walked in on me naked.
I cringed when I recalled that and then memories of his kiss on my neck earlier today.
I suddenly felt hot.
I placed my palm on my chest, feeling my heartbeat race faster than normal.
It doesn't feel normal anymore. Whenever I thought of Adrian, I felt the rate of my heart beating fast, and then I am feeling hot too.
I trailed my hand till it landed on my neck, the spot he has kissed earlier today.
"What are you thinking about Sophia?" I mumbled to myself.
His lips against mine felt cold on my skin and I loved it.
"This cannot be happening, is it?" I told myself.
I shook my head, trying to get rid of the thoughts in my head. It was crazy that as I was telling myself to get rid of the thoughts I had of Adrian, my mind went to the moment his towel fell off and I saw the man between his legs.
I quickly got up from my bed and sat down it, slapping my face lightly.
"That's naughty of you Sophia," I scolded myself.
I got up from my bed and ran into my bathroom.
"You cannot be thinking of that Sophia. That is very bad and wrong," I said to myself before entering the bathroom.
I quickly rinsed my face with some water so that I could feel more awake as I felt it was because I was sleepy that was making me think of him.
Adrian has been nothing but bad to me and the only good he has done for me was letting me see my parents so I would not be thinking of him.
Even though I was away from him, he still managed to torment me.
I cried as I stared at myself in the mirror.
"He is a wizard," I muttered.

I stretched my hands to the nightstand to get my phone when I heard my phone beep.
It was past midnight and Mathew has sent me a text with images.
I was unable to sleep because I was angry about a lot of things and most of it was because of Sophia. It only made me dread her so much.
I sat up on my bed when I saw the images.
I blinked my eyes while looking at everything that Mathew had sent to me.
FROM MATHEW: It seems everything is mixed up. The truth is Seth Cox fell into the hands of a fraudster. He never intended to steal from his investors. Seth Cox has sent money to an account he thought was real because the fraudster has made it all so. They had calculated and prepared beforehand and so when Seth Cox set out to carry his new plan, everything fell. He lost the money and therefore couldn't find the one that has tricked and deceived him.
FROM MATHEW: Set Cox fell victim to some frauds and because he couldn't produce anything that he had collected money for, it was reported that he stole from the investors.
FROM MATHEW: I Also did some research and found out that the person who set him up is close to him but I am unable to find out who did that for now but when I do I will report it to you.
I thought I just have read wrong and so I kept reading, again and again, to make sure that I didn't before it dawned on me.
If truly he stole from those investors, he wouldn't need my grandfather's help to pay back and he would have run away.
Why did Mr. Brian tell me that he hid the money he stole from the investors and is trying to deceive them?
Nothing seemed right to me and I needed to get to the bottom of it.
