"Of course, he is not that friendly or nice to anyone but there is nothing to talk about," I told her I'm a dismissive tone.
Evelyn narrowed her eyes at me before sitting back on the bed.
"I know it's an arranged marriage and I heard from my mom what happened. Sarah was supposed to marry him but she ran away and you took her place instead. You know you can talk to me right? Is he bad to you?" She asked, taking a hold of my hand and I sighed.
Adrian was bad to me at first but lately, things have changed. He wasn't bad anymore but I couldn't understand what was going on and what was happening to me lately when he comes around.
"Trust me when I say there is nothing to talk about. He was just asking if I have eaten. I mean it's not a big deal. You know I would talk to you if there was something to talk about," I told her, hoping he lets go.
Thankfully she did.
"Fine. Come let's go get you something to eat. Tomorrow, we will start with a lot of planning. I mean we already made plans for the weddings but I will have to let you know about them so you can tell me your opinion and we haven't chosen a dress yet. I already got my wedding dress but I need a dress for the reception that I do not have yet," she informed me as we walked down the stairs.
"What would you like to eat? Should we go out to eat or do we order in or do you want me to make something for you, which is it?" Evelyn asked and I chuckled.
She wasn't even taking a break. Asking one question to another without even giving me a chance to reply.
"Trust me, anything is fine with me and I'm not hungry but I have to eat and send a picture of what I ate to Adrian because he wants to see it and confirm that I ate something," I told her and she halted on her track.
"He wants to know if you ate? Do you not eat at all? What's wrong? Do you have issues eating?" Evelyn asked, a hint of worry laced in her tone.
"No," I said frantically.
"Then why does he have to see proof that you ate something?" She asked and I shrugged.
"I do not know. He just asked to see it," I replied to her.
She opened her mouth to say something but closed it back.
"Come let's go out to get food," she said, taking her car keys from the table in the living room and I followed behind her.

"Sir, what do you think of the idea?" The head of the promotion and marking team asked me.
I took in a deep breath and exhaled.
"It is a nice one but it's lacking. When you advertise something to people, the main aim is to get their attention and also their interest so that they can patronize you. Most people will see this and ignore it because it isn't appealing enough. It's lacking a lot and I need you to come up with something better by tomorrow. We do not have all day," I told him.
"I will do something about it," he said.
I got up from where I was seated, signally that the meeting was over, and walked away with my secretary following hot on my trail.
"What's my next schedule?" I asked her as I walked toward my office.
"You have a lunch date with Mrs. Parker at Divine star hotel and after that, you have to visit the construction site too," she informed me and I nodded my head.
"When is my lunch date with Mrs. Parker?" I asked, halting on my track.
"It is by 2 pm sir," she replied and I stared at my wristwatch to look at the time.
"I have thirty minutes more to go. Fine then. Fifteen minutes to two, just let me know," I told her and she nodded her head.
As soon as I sat down on my chair in my office, I closed my eyes and exhaled deeply.
It hasn't been long since Sophia left yet I missed her so much. Something I wasn't used to. After finding out the truth, I realized that was the reason I disliked her family and her, and then I disliked her more because I hated that she has one of the most unique and loving eyes.
I couldn't look at those eyes of hers and not feel bad whenever I hurt her and each them I stare at them, I felt feelings I shouldn't and I wasn't familiar with and so I accused her a lot of times.
For the past few days, I felt very strong feelings whenever she was close to me. I have a lot I want to say to her but each time I just kept shut as I felt she wasn't comfortable with me.
The kiss I shared with her felt divine and I would love to kiss her again and again and that is if she wants.
I took in a deep breath as I stared at a picture of her on my phone. I couldn't believe that I had searched for her on social media to get these pictures of her.
It felt like a week since I last saw her and I wonder what a week without her would feel like. Her cousin sisters wedding was in five days and I just wanted her back already.
An idea popped up in my mind and I smiled.
I called my secretary immediately.
"Yes sir," she answered.
"Clear my schedule for next week, I am going to Ohio," I told her and she nodded her head.
I would be surprising her by attending her cousin's wedding and I planned to travel the night before the day.
