P.O.V Peyton
After that wonderful doctor's appointment, I solved the problem I was having. I made up to Mason that I had a virus, it's the perfect excuse. He doesn't come to see me because he might catch it and it's perfect for me to recover from what happened.
The bad thing is that my friend to accompany Mason and his wife to dinner has not been able to fulfill what he asked me, he has been a little sick and I have not been feeling well enough to go to see him.
We talk by messages and calls, he is very tender and affectionate, as well as concerned about my wellbeing. That is what I love the most about him.
He gives me money without asking for it and gifts, fashion things, new collections in handbags, because he knows I love them. I like that he is attentive to what I like without saying it, only once I told him that I was a fan of having many bags and that's enough to buy several a month. Every time a new one comes out; he is the first to give it to me without asking.
Mason is just as attentive, sends me money monthly, pays my apartment bills. I live like a queen, but that's not all he can do for me and so I don't settle for what he gives me. I deserve to live as his wife, I have put up with a lot these years at his side, as a mistress when I can have many men at his feet. Without even looking one appears asking me for a little attention. When we can be together without hiding, he will be the most envied man in the world for having me exclusively for him. Our children will be beautiful, they will have perfect DNA with our mix.
I texted Mason, telling him I miss him so much, even though it's not true. I am making the most of my days without him, because when I can be by his side, I will be every day of my life by his side forever and that may bore me. I am not the type to be with the same man all the time. This will be the first time I do it and all for the sake of living with all the comforts I deserve.
I can tolerate having a mother-in-law like Mason's mother, who despises me in every possible way. I'm confident that my father-in-law will love me once he gets to know me well. I'll give them the grandchildren I'm sure they long for; that will be my way of winning them over.
Tonight, Mason told me he has a dinner with his parents and might not be able to connect with me until late. I told him I would sleep early to recover well from my "virus," so I'm not worried about his late-night call.
In exchange for that, I invited my neighbor for dinner, even though he's the one bringing the food. I wait for him and don't even get out of bed; I gave him a key to my apartment.
I hear him when he arrives, so I sit on the bed, waiting for him to come in.
"I'm really sorry for the delay. I went to order food from my favorite place, but it was reserved for the White family. I thought people with that level of wealth didn't go to these kinds of places. Now I see that I'm not the only one with those tastes. Then I remembered that your favorite food is from that famous restaurant, so I made some calls to order a variety of things. I hope you're hungry," he says happily.
"Thank you, you're always so thoughtful with me that I feel bad receiving you in these circumstances," I say timidly.
"Darling, don't worry about that. You know I don't see you just for your looks; I feel a special connection with you. It's something stronger than I've ever felt before. Even though I'm not at an age to fall in love, something happened to me with you. That doesn't mean I'm asking you to be a couple. I've noticed that your heart belongs to someone else, and even though I believe they don't deserve you, I won't stand in the way of your choices. But remember, you can always count on me," he says, as he always does when we see each other.
Lately he's been getting too much of a pain in the ass about it, about telling me how he feels about me. I already explained to him that we can't be anything serious, that I'm waiting for my fiancé and that if I get involved with him it's just a temporary thing.
He accepted those conditions when I told him the first time, that we can only be friends in front of people and in private something else as long as he is not in the company of my fiancé. What he doesn't know is who he is, he doesn't have the slightest idea that he is Mason, since by coincidence of fate he knows my future husband's family. He thinks that because of work my fiancé is not here, don't get him out of his mistake, why, it's better he thinks that.
We spent a nice evening, a little boring because I am not used to this kind of dinner, I like to eat in upscale places and although the food is exquisite it is not the same. I will have to clean up after us when we are done and that is what I don't like. I've never liked doing household things, that's what people who work in the house are for, in my case they are necessary for me.
I have never asked Mason if he has servitude, but I think it is a logical thing to do, with all the money he has. I also haven't asked him about where he lives, as far as I know his parents gave him a house. It's a common thing to not want to live in the same house he occupied with the wife he has now, it's something we need to talk about. However, I can
be assured that he will not object when I ask him for a mansion for us to start our family.
I can already imagine the house I will ask for; it must have a lot of space where I can sunbathe next to a swimming pool. A gym and my own space to relax without having to listen to the cries of the children I will have to have to inherit all the money of the family White.
