When Veronica heard the news about the issue between the companies, she quickly planned to twist this story.
She headed to the Castellanos Mansion to tattle tale to Amanda.
Amanda had been discharged from the hospital a few days ago, but was still advised to rest properly in the house. So she knew she was at home.
When she arrived, she was led by a maid to the receiving area while Amanda was called to report about her arrival.
Not long, Amanda arrived and saw Veronica sitting at one of the couches.
“Veronica dear, what brings you here? You didn’t even say first that you would be here. I wasn’t prepared.” Amanda leisurely said.
Veronica heard this and immediately said her purpose.
“Aunt this was urgent. Something happened in the Castellanos Group of Company.” Veronica started.
Amanda’s expression changed when the company was mentioned. “What happened?” She asked with a solemn face.
Veronica saw this and was satisfied inside. Cunningness filled her heart and mind.
“Damon had broken ties with a lot of companies today. A lot of companies were dissatisfied Aunt. Damon had offended a lot today.” She said, purposely exaggerating the happenings.
“What?! Why would he do that?” Amanda reacted. She doesn’t understand business much, but she knew breaking ties with companies is no good deed. What was Damon thinking?
“It’s because of that whore Anya! Those companies had affiliation with her ex-husband’s company. It’s either it was that bitch who whispered to Damon, or it was Damon’s jealousy. Auntie, I think Damon had been muddle-headed because of that woman.” Veronica dramatically said with a sigh.
Amanda gasped at this. She can’t believe Damon is doing this thing. “Is that true?!” She asked Veronica unbelievably.
Veronica only solemnly nodded.
Amanda pursed her lips and grabbed her phone. She immediately dialed Damon’s phone number.
After a few rings it was picked up.
“Damon. Come home right now.” She said directly to him the moment he answered. “What is it, Mom. I have things to do-“ Damon said but he was immediately cut off. “Go home now!” Amanda exclaimed.
Damon on the other line knitted his brows. His mother just had been to the hospital. Thinking it was an emergency, Damon acquiesced.
“Alright. I’m coming.” He said as he hanged up the phone.
Veronica on the sides, hearing Amanda urging Damon to go home, had a cunning smile on her lips. When Amanda turned to her, she quickly changed her expression.
“I’ll straighten up that son of mine today.” Amanda said sternly.
When Damon walked in, he saw Veronica and immediately knew what she tattled in his mother’ ears. This might be another nagging. He sighed irritatingly.
When Amanda saw Damon walked in, she stood up to reprimand her son.
“Damon, what is this that I heard about what you were doing in the company! You were creating conflict with other companies? What are you doing?!” Amanda rebuked.
Damon furrowed his brows when he heard this and glanced at Veronica. This woman was fast as lighting when it comes to gossip. He was even more dissatisfied with her.
“Mom, it’s not what it looks.” Damon answered lazily and problematically. He really doesn’t like it when someone questions his decisions.
Amanda saw her son’s expression and thought he was really not in his right state.
“What do you mean? Creating ripples with other companies, it is bad for our name! why would you do something like this? Is this because of that slut?” Amanda asked with vile words.
Damon’s face immediately tightened as he heard his mother bad mouthing Anya.
“Mom, you don’t need to worry about the company. I know what I am doing.” He said coldly.
Amanda gasped at this. His son was really bewitched!
“You won’t even listen to me now? You are bewitched by that woman so badly! Damon, wake up! Don’t ruin your name and prestige just because of that slum of a woman!” Amanda exclaimed.
“Mom, who said all these things to you? Is it that woman?” He pointed disdainfully at Veronica.
“Stop judging everything based on what she said! I’m not that extreme and Anya is not that kind of person!” He rebutted his mother.
“And why won’t I? just look at you fighting with me just because of that woman! I won’t change my opinion about her!” Amanda angrily exclaimed, her chest started heaving with fury.
Damon saw his mother getting worked up and remembered her fainting last time. He sighed helplessly. He can’t let her be angry and let that happen again.
He turned to Veronica and his eyes flared at once. It is because of this woman.
“Is this what you want? For me and my mother to fight? Do you want to anger her to death?” He asked darkly.
Veronica heard this and shuddered. His eyes were ruthless and she can’t help but shaken.
“What? No, Damon, I-“ She tried to explain but Damon cut her off.
“Stop passing things that would anger my Mom. You knew this would make her work up. She just got out of the hospital, what are you planning?” Damon coldly asked. He could clearly see through this woman. She was a cunning and vile person. He looked down at her even more.
Amanda saw Damon accusing Veronica and went to her defense.
“Don’t blame Veronica now! What, do you plan to keep me blind about this?” She asked intensely at Damon.
“Mother, no. But this matter is not worth mentioning and making you angry. You just came out of the hospital, I don’t plan to anger you, yet this woman doesn’t even think. Just an outsider, yet she is meddling with my business.” Damon icily sentenced with acid in his voice.
Amanda was a little taken a back, but still, she was resolute.
“If that’s the case, then you shouldn’t have done this! Making me angry with your actions!” She reasoned out.
When Damon heard this, he was helpless. He could only sigh tiredly and looked at his mother with disappointed eyes.
If she thought he was bewitched by Anya, then Damon resolutely believe she was bewitched by Veronica! She was very convicted with her words and judgement just from Veronica’s words.
This Veronica Ambrosia, she was really cunning.
Damon infuriatedly thought as he was frustrated at how he was being played by this person. He would remember this debt and would collect it time. His eyes flashed ruthlessly as he gave a cold glance at Veronica.
Veronica could feel Damon’s anger and she was frustrated too. But looking at the situation, the ripples between mother and son, she was secretly rejoicing inside.
Amanda was stern in her support for her, and with Damon continuingly angering Amanda, then her heart would bore more hatred for Anya.
Anyway, mothers are the most influential person in someone’s life, especially in their social class. It is the parents who arranges the marriage.
As long as she had Amanda’s support, then she still had a chance.
Veronica smirked at this. She would never give up her future position of Mrs. Castellano.
