Between Four of Us

Chapter 92

Ch. 92 / 250 Jun 22, 2025

Camille was knee-deep in wedding plans, and as excited as she was, the sheer number of decisions had started to overwhelm her. Luckily, Noah, Leo, and Matthew were right there with her, each bringing their unique perspective—and plenty of banter—to every detail.

One evening, they gathered around the dining room table, which was now covered with color swatches, floral arrangements, venue brochures, and Camille’s trusty wedding planner notebook. She looked at the three men seated across from her, each wearing a different expression: Noah, calm and focused; Leo, visibly excited but only halfway paying attention; and Matthew, deeply serious as he scanned a list of vendors.

“Alright,” Camille said, tapping her pen against the notebook. “Let’s start with the theme. I’m thinking something elegant but a bit rustic. Maybe… garden-inspired? Soft colors, lots of greenery. What do you think?”

Leo immediately sat up, his eyes lighting up with enthusiasm. “Garden theme, huh? We could do those fairy lights everywhere! And lanterns! Just imagine the photos—us looking like we stepped right out of a magical forest.”

Camille laughed, amused by his enthusiasm. “You just want an excuse to wear a flower crown, don’t you?”

Leo grinned. “Guilty as charged. But seriously, a garden theme sounds beautiful. Imagine the reception—twinkling lights, flowers everywhere, and maybe some candles floating in little ponds!”

Matthew raised an eyebrow, looking over his list with a practical gaze. “Fairy lights and floating candles sound nice, but we’d need to check the fire regulations on that.”

Camille shot him an amused look. “Matthew, we’re not going to burn the place down. I’ll make sure everything’s safe.”

Noah leaned in, his hand gently resting over hers. “I think a garden theme is perfect, Camille. It’s simple, elegant, and just like you said—there’s something peaceful about it. We can find a venue with a lot of natural beauty so it feels like an escape.”

Camille beamed, nodding as she scribbled down some notes. “Alright, garden theme it is. I’ll talk to a few venues this week.”

Leo, ever the planner when it came to his wardrobe, pointed to a picture of groomsmen’s attire. “Speaking of themes, are we talking suits or something a little more relaxed? I could see us in tailored suits, but maybe without ties. Something cool, y’know?”

Noah laughed, shaking his head. “You mean you want an excuse to avoid wearing a tie, right?”

Leo shrugged. “Who needs ties when you’ve got charm?” He gave Camille a wink, which only made her roll her eyes in good humor.

Camille tapped her chin thoughtfully. “I actually like that idea. Suits, but maybe a bit more relaxed. Earthy tones? Browns, maybe a touch of green? It’ll blend perfectly with the garden theme.”

Matthew nodded approvingly. “Earthy tones sound good. Nothing too flashy, just classic. And we’ll leave the spotlight on the bride, where it belongs.”

Camille smiled, touched by his thoughtfulness. “Thank you, Matthew. That means a lot. And you’re all going to look amazing, trust me.”

They continued chatting and planning, moving through everything from floral arrangements to possible décor ideas, each of them weighing in with their thoughts. Every decision brought a mix of practical advice from Matthew, playful suggestions from Leo, and a steadying calm from Noah, which kept Camille feeling grounded and supported.

Soon, they arrived at a big topic that had Camille a bit stumped. She looked down at her notebook, then back up at the guys. “Alright, we need to talk about food. I’m having the hardest time deciding. I want something delicious and memorable, but not too formal. Something that feels… well, like us.”

Noah leaned back, considering. “We could do a mix. Maybe some classic dishes for the main course, and then fun options for appetizers and dessert? Something people can enjoy without it feeling too stuffy.”

Leo rubbed his hands together, clearly excited. “Oh, I’ve got ideas! Imagine a station with mini tacos, sliders, little pizzas! Stuff people can eat while they mingle. I mean, who doesn’t love finger food?”

Camille laughed, her eyes brightening. “Mini tacos actually sound amazing. And we could do a mix of cuisines. A little bit of everything to keep it interesting.”

Matthew nodded thoughtfully. “I like that. And maybe for the main courses, we can have a couple of options—something hearty, something light. We want everyone to have choices.”

Camille jotted down their ideas, feeling more confident. “Okay, I love that approach. Finger foods, a couple of main options… and dessert!”

Leo’s eyes lit up. “Dessert! Now that’s the best part. Camille, we need to have a dessert table with variety—cupcakes, brownies, maybe even a mini pie station.”

Noah chuckled. “Are you planning this wedding just for the dessert table, Leo?”

Leo shrugged, grinning unapologetically. “Hey, dessert’s important. People remember it!”

Camille couldn’t help but smile at his enthusiasm. “Alright, we’ll add a dessert table to the list. But what about a cake?”

Matthew raised a finger. “What if we did something a bit unique? Like a small cake for us to cut, but then lots of other desserts for everyone else. That way, people have options, and we don’t end up with leftovers of one big cake.”

Camille’s face lit up, her pen scribbling quickly in her notebook. “I love that idea. We can have a small cake, something elegant but simple, and then a variety of desserts for everyone to enjoy. I think that could work really well.”

Leo clapped his hands together, clearly pleased. “This wedding is going to be epic, Camille. I can already see it. The garden theme, the food stations, the dessert table—it’s all coming together.”

Noah gave her a gentle smile, his hand resting on her shoulder. “You’re doing an amazing job, Camille. This wedding is going to be beautiful because it reflects everything we love about you and each other.”

Camille blushed, feeling both overwhelmed and incredibly grateful. “Thank you. I don’t think I could have done any of this without you three.”

They each reached out, holding her hand in a moment of quiet reassurance before Leo leaned forward, a mischievous glint in his eye. “Okay, serious question though, Camille. Are we going to have a late-night snack table?”

She laughed, rolling her eyes. “You and food, Leo. What would you even want for a late-night snack?”

“Pizza, of course,” he replied immediately. “And maybe fries. Oh, and sliders!”

Matthew smirked, raising an eyebrow. “So basically all the food from the beginning of the night, just available again?”

Leo shrugged. “Hey, you never know when hunger will strike!”

Camille grinned, scribbling “late-night snacks” with a question mark in her notes. “We’ll see, Leo. But right now, I need to figure out these main courses.”

The three men exchanged glances, clearly unsure of how to proceed. Noah spoke up first. “Camille, this is your wedding. Whatever you choose, we’ll love it.”

She looked at the options in her notebook, still feeling a bit overwhelmed. “Maybe a tasting session would help. I can’t decide between classic dishes, something fun, or… I don’t know, maybe even a family-style meal?”

Leo leaned in with a grin. “Well, looks like we’ll just have to eat a lot of samples. It’s the only way.”

Matthew chuckled, nodding in agreement. “I think Leo’s onto something. Let’s book a tasting. We’ll figure it out together.”

Camille’s heart filled with gratitude as she looked at each of them, feeling their love and support. “Alright,” she said, smiling. “A tasting session it is. Let’s hope that helps, because otherwise, we’re going to end up with one giant dessert table and late-night pizza!”
