Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 314

Ch. 314 / 840 May 06, 2026

Derek's POV

When I arrived at the baby care store, I finally got a taste of what Tabitha must've felt back then.

Kyrian was my first child. Logically speaking, I should have cared for him more than anyone else. However, at that time, Elena's death became the biggest rift between us.

Looking at all those tiny and colorful clothes, I finally understood why Tabitha had so much to say back then.

No wonder her eyes would shine with excitement whenever she talked about our baby.

Everything for babies could melt your heart. They were so small and soft, yet they could smooth out all the rough edges in life.

"Wow, Alpha Derek, check out this little horse. It's so cute! And this toy gun too."

It was funny how Rolf seemed to be even more thrilled than me.

The salesperson on the side rushed over to my side after taking a glance at my outfit. Well, it made sense. Just the cost of the watch on my wrist could probably buy out this place with sone change left.

"Hello, sir! Is your baby a boy or a girl? I can recommend some options for you."

Now that threw me for a loop. The babies were too young for any gender tests.

So I simply replied, "I don't know."

"Alright then. Here are some styles that are perfect for newborns—these colors work for both boys and girls."

I, on the other hand, walked straight towards the pink outfits. I really hoped Tabitha would give birth to a baby girl as adorable as her.

Sure, she was pregnant with twins, so the odds were good for at least one girl—but who knew?

She could end up having two boys too.

"Looks like you're into baby girls."

Girls' clothes were more delicate compared to boys'. For example, they got soft lace trims, bows, and fluffy princess skirts.

I couldn't even imagine how happy I'd be if Tabitha had a daughter who looked just like her.

The baby girl I had seen all looked tiny and soft—it'd be adorable as hell.

Turned out just dreaming about what my kids would look like could fill me with joy.

I couldn't wait for the day when Tabitha would give birth eight months later.

This time, I gotta try my best to protect her and make sure she never got hurt again.

"Wrap everything up except this one."

The salesperson widened her eyes as if she couldn't believe something straight out of an online meme was happening right in front of her.

"Okay, sir. Here, are you paying by credit card?"

I fiddled with a little rattle, which was pink and delicate and got a unicorn on it, looking incredibly cute.

I couldn't help picturing my adorable baby girl lying in the cradle, playing with it.

After selecting the clothes, I headed straight to the furniture market.

My kids deserved the best, so I was super picky about everything.

Turned out this was what waiting for the arrival of new lives felt like. I couldn't help smiling.

Third person's POV

Even though Daphne was marrying Derek, he rarely showed up these days, which made her feel uneasy.

The people she hired couldn't even find out where Tabitha was currently staying.

It was like she had vanished into thin air.

"He must be hiding her away," murmured Daphne.

"While we haven't tracked down Ms. Hartley yet, we did notice Alpha Derek has been stocking up on tons of baby supplies lately."

Daphne, who was drinking coffee, smashed the cup upon hearing it. "What did you say?"

She thought, 'Derek has never slept with me, so it's definitely not me who's pregnant. Could it be Tabitha then?'

"Don't panic. There's no evidence proving anything yet. Maybe one of Alpha Derek's friends is expecting a baby. That's why he's buying all that stuff. They're just gifts."

"No, it's definitely that bitch who got pregnant, and he hid her somewhere! No matter what it takes, you gotta find her!"
