Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 331

Ch. 331 / 840 May 06, 2026

Third person's POV

When Tabitha saw John collapse, her mind went into a total meltdown, and with a gasp, she fainted right there.

"Tabitha!"

Derek lifted Tabitha up in his arms, while Alvin carried John on his back. They quickly left.

Daphne was also left bewildered by the sudden turn of events. How did it end up like this?

Seeing Derek carrying Tabitha and leaving, she shouted desperately from behind, "Derek! The ceremony is about to start!"

She was anxious to catch Derek, but due to her broken legs, she fell to the ground with a loud bang when she got up abruptly.

Now she was no more the noble and decent bride in the most expensive wedding dress, but a pathetic woman whose husband-to-be left her behind. Whispers and chatters started spreading.

Lyrique realized that she had screwed it up and quickly helped Daphne up from the ground.

"Daphne, are you okay?"

What she got in return, however, was a hard slap from Daphne. "Bitch! What have you done?"

Lyrique really screwed it up this time. She explained in a panic, "Daphne, I'm sorry. I was just... I was just..."

Daphne tightly pulled Lyrique's collar, crumpling the lace on her chest.

"I'm telling you. If I couldn't get married, I wouldn't let you off today!"

Lyrique sat down on the ground, muttering to herself, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't know it would turn out like this."

In the hospital.

John and Tabitha were taken to the emergency room.

The diagnosis results of Tabitha came out quickly, but John was once again pushed into the operating room.

Kamp reassured Derek, "You don't have to worry too much. Tabitha is fine. She just fainted from the shock. The babies are also fine."

Tiredly, Derek pinched the bridge of his nose, saying, "What I'm worried about is John. He couldn't handle anything overwhelming now."

Tabitha would also be greatly affected if something happened to John.

Just at that moment, a doctor walked out of the operating room, and Derek hurriedly went up to greet him.

"Doctor, how is it going?"

"Not very optimistic. The patient underwent a craniotomy in a short period of time and has not yet recovered, but has suffered another setback. We have done our best, but the patient's will to survive is very weak. Either give up treatment or go to the Intensive Care Unit. The rest is up to fate."

Tabitha had not yet regained consciousness, so Derek had to make the decision for her. Even though he knew deep down that going to the Intensive Care Unit would result in irreversible and significant physical trauma to the patient, he had no other choice but to do whatever it took to keep John hanging on to his last breath.

"Transfer him to the Intensive Care Unit. No matter what, the first priority is to save his life."

"Okay."

Tabitha fell into a boundless darkness, and she searched aimlessly there.

She didn't even know what she was searching for, always feeling like she was about to lose someone who meant a lot to her.

She searched for a long time but couldn't find anything. Then she could only squat on the ground and started crying sadly.

At that moment, she lowered her head, and only then did she realize that she had actually turned into her childhood appearance, with tiny hands and feet.

In her panic, a hand was placed on top of her head.

The darkness around gradually dissipated, and a familiar gentle voice sounded, "Don't cry, Tabitha."

A sudden inspiration flashed through her mind. Yes, the person she was looking for was John!

Tabitha suddenly looked up at the man beside her. His appearance was exactly the same as ten years ago, not sickly or thin. He was in his prime.

John smiled gently at her, just like before.

"Dad!"

"Tabitha, I have caused you so much pain over the years. It was my fault. I didn't take good care of you."

"No, it was you who protected me all my life. How about letting me protect you in the future?"

John looked up at the sky, but the smile on his lips did not fade. "Tabitha, I'm too tired. I can't hold on any longer."
