Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 306

Ch. 306 / 840 May 06, 2026

Tabitha's POV

Although I managed to keep my twins, I felt like Derek took away the last bit of light in my world.

He already knew he was their father. From now on, he would definitely not let me go.

But I had already grown tired of this game.

I felt like I was trapped under a huge net, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't escape.

I didn't know how to seek revenge, nor could I see any glimmer of hope.

I couldn't do anything while I was pregnant. I could only rub my belly over and over again.

Every day, I prayed to the Moon Goddess that I could safely give birth to my babies.

I was getting more and more depressed, even talking less to Dad.

His legs had gotten a lot better, and he could now walk freely around the house without needing assistance.

It was already summer, and it was getting hotter. I was dozing off on a lounge chair under the shade of a tree.

When I woke up, I found that someone had covered me with a blanket. Dad was holding a fan in his hand, driving away mosquitoes for me, just like he did when I was a child.

Although Holly walked out on us when I was little, Dad gave me all his love.

My childhood was not a bad one even though I grew up without Mom. With Dad's love, I became a confident and excellent werewolf.

Back then, I exuded an air of pride in my eyes and demeanor.

I guessed Dad already noticed that there was something wrong with me. Since he came around, I rarely laughed and never mentioned Derek's name in front of him.

Now, I just stayed in a trance for most of my day, except for the times when I was eating or sleeping.

When Dad was around, I tried to plaster on a smile to avoid him noticing. However, he raised me up and how could he not see through my thoughts?

All my changes were because of Derek while Dad didn't know what Derek had done.

When Derek brought me back last time, our relationship deteriorated even further.

Dad noticed that. He spent most of his time by my side every day.

As soon as I opened my eyes, I saw Dad gently fanning the fan beside me. I was a bit startled and said, "Dad."

"You're up. Are you thirsty? The afternoon tea is ready."

I couldn't help but blush. "Dad, I'm not a kid anymore."

Dad smiled and reached out to ruffle my hair. "In my heart, you are always a child. I'm always here for you."

"Yes, I know."

"Tabitha, I know you are unhappy now. Let's leave here."

I was a bit stunned. "Dad, you don't like here?"

"It's fine here, but you're not happy. Sweetheart, I haven't seen you smile from your heart for a long time. I don't know what happened between you and Derek, but if it's because of him, I'll take you away." Dad rubbed my head.

"I'm bankrupt and can't provide you with a luxurious life as before, but I can go out to work and support you. Do you remember what I said before?

"Being happy is the most important thing in life. Everything else is secondary. I want to see your happy face, not this gloomy expression all day long.

"I've been there before. If anything goes wrong with a relationship, it takes some time to slowly fix it. You are still young. So be patient. Give yourself and Derek some time and space."

I bit my lip and shook my head gently. "Dad, we can't leave for now. We can go nowhere."

Dad quickly expressed his confusion. "Why? Do you think I'm old and incapable of supporting you? I..."

"No, it has nothing to do with you."

I lowered my head and gently touched my small belly, whispering, "Dad, I am pregnant."
