Torn Between my Alpha Mates

Chapter 94: Destiny Part 1

Ch. 94 / 177 Dec 10, 2025

Zoya’s P.O.V

"I'll come pick you up as soon as you finish," Ezra told me with a smile. "Text me if you need anything, okay? Anything at all."

"Okay," I told him, returning his grin. "Don't worry about me. I've got Cam to keep me company. And lots of patients to help!"

"See you later." Ezra leaned down for a quick kiss on the forehead and then I watched him drive away to his office with a smile on my face.

Stepping into the familiar clinic, a sense of comfort washed over me. The crisp scent of antiseptic filled the air, intermingled with the faint aroma of freshly brewed coffee from the break room.

The clinic, with its soft pastel walls and warm lighting, exuded a calming atmosphere, designed to put patients at ease during their visits. The sound of gentle instrumental music played softly in the background, creating a soothing ambiance.

As I made my way to the front desk, Cam greeted me with a mischievous smile. "Well, well, look who's here," she teased, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Seems like someone here has a certain someone wrapped around her little fingers already." She wiggled her eyebrows in a way that almost made me laugh out.

I chuckled, feeling a faint blush creeping up my cheeks. "Oh, come on, Cam. We're still taking things slow," I replied, trying to downplay any hint of blossoming feelings.

But deep down, I knew Cam saw through my façade, her intuition sharp as ever.

Leaning against the counter, Cam studied me for a moment, her gaze filled with understanding. "Zoya, it's written all over your face," she said gently. "You're falling for him, aren't you?"

I averted my gaze, unable to deny the truth that Cam has so astutely observed. "Maybe," I admitted quietly, a mixture of uncertainty and excitement swirling within me. "It's just...he's been so wonderful to me, always there when I need him."

Cam nodded, a supportive smile gracing her lips. "He's got that protective instinct, doesn't he?" She remarked, her tone filled with warmth. "I would’ve said that it’s mostly because of his status as Alpha of the pack, but I've noticed how he looks out for you, always ready to ease your worries. That’s all Ezra."

I nodded in agreement, grateful for Ezra's unwavering presence in my life.

Even though we hadn't known each other for a very long time, it still felt like we had, because when I was at my lowest, he had always been beside me to cheer me up.

He sensed my moods, even the subtlest shifts in my emotions, and did his best to provide comfort and reassurance. It's as if he can read me like an open book, understanding my needs even before I voiced them out loud.

It made me feel wanted. Loved. Needed.

I had never felt cared for in my life the way he made me feel, and maybe that's why I was so drawn to him, because he made me feel things I've never felt before. Loving him felt so completely natural that I couldn’t help but fall for him.

Just then, Cam's expression turned slightly concerned. "Is everything okay with Ezra, though?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine care. "He's been a little tense lately, you know."

Today, the clinic was somewhat like a cozy haven, where the scent of antiseptic mingled with the warmth of familiarity.

The waiting room was modestly filled, mostly with elderly patients who come in for their routine check-ups or seek relief for their aches and pains. The atmosphere was relaxed, and some patients strike up friendly conversations with one another, sharing stories of their daily lives.

Outside the window, a streak of sunlight pierces through, casting a warm glow on the front desk. It's a reminder that even in the heart of healthcare, there's a place for hope and positivity. The sound of chirping birds occasionally reached my ears, their melodies weaving through the bustling atmosphere of the clinic.

I sighed, my concern mirrored in my eyes. "It's been almost two months since we've heard anything about Silas," I confided, a note of worry seeping into my voice. "Ezra can't help but fear that his brother may be up to no good."

Cam's brows furrowed, her concern deepening. "That's a long time without any news," she acknowledged, her voice tinged with sympathy. "No wonder he’s been stressed…But I'm glad you’re by his side through all of this.”
