Torn Between my Alpha Mates

Chapter 105: Fifth Time's a Charm?

Ch. 105 / 177 Dec 10, 2025

Zoya’s P.O.V

My heart pounded in my chest as I stood there, stunned into silence by the sight unfolding before me.

Silas stepped out of the car with a woman in a bright green dress, her arm wrapped around his elbow. Her blue eyes scanned the crowd, skimming past me without a second glance, and yet…I couldn't shake the feeling that I knew her. I had seen her somewhere before…

Who was this woman and why did she seem so awfully familiar?

Like someone I'm supposed to recognize…

It was like a floodgate of memories suddenly being released at once. The startling realization hit me like a punch to the gut that she was the same woman I had seen that fateful night two months ago — the night that changed everything, leading to my discovery of Silas's true nature and the existence of werewolves.

Again, what the fuck?

Still, despite myself, I couldn't help but be awestruck by their presence.

They looked like a force of nature, an embodiment of power and beauty intertwined.

Silas stood tall and commanding, exuding an air of strength that was almost palpable. His dark, intense eyes held a fierce outstare, and his sculpted features seemed chiseled from marble.

Beside him, the woman was a vision of elegance and grace. Her long, flowing hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, and her eyes sparkled with an enchanting allure. Her slender figure moved with a confidence that spoke of her authority, cementing her image as a woman who could stand her ground alone.

The fact that I didn’t yet know her name made her presence even more alluring, shrouded with mystery.

Together, they were a formidable pair, complementing each other in a way that was both captivating and intimidating.

Their presence commanded attention, and it was evident since every prying eye in the event was now on them. The way they moved and interacted showed a seamless unity, as if they were two halves of the same whole.

As I observed them from a distance, I couldn't help but feel a mix of admiration and envy.

They seemed to possess a power that was beyond the ordinary, a power that came from the depths of their souls. Which wasn’t much of a mystery when you considered the fact that both of them were wolves, and Silas was an Alpha.

It was a power that made them not just a pair, but a formidable team, a duo that could conquer worlds together. I wondered, all of a sudden, if Ezra and I would look the same way next to each other, if I had allowed him to come with me today.

And then, another ridiculous thought entered my mind… if Silas and I ever got together, would we have looked as powerful?

It was a stupid thought, one that didn't need to be validated by mulling it over for much longer, so I shook my head, effectively shaking away my shock in the process as well.

Silas's expression barely flickered, but I could see a trace of surprise in his eyes at the sight of me before he quickly composed himself.

I couldn't help but wonder why he was even at this wedding, especially after disappearing without a word for the past two months. The coincidence seemed just too overwhelming.

The situation felt surreal, like a whirlwind of emotions and memories colliding all at once.

As they made their way towards the venue, I gathered my thoughts and pushed back the rising unease.

I knew at some point, preferably when none of the attention would be on me, I had to confront Silas about his disappearance and this mysterious woman, or why he was even here.

But for now, I had to focus on facing my parents and enduring their disapproving comments without showing any vulnerability.

I couldn't afford to be their punching bag again and bear the brunt of their verbal abuse if I made a scene here and ruined Tania's wedding just so I could get answers from Silas.

I shuddered to think how everyone would react if I lost it and just did that. They would probably call me the jealous ex-girlfriend who went crazy and decided to ruin the lovely couple's beautiful wedding just because I wasn't over Ravi and wanted him back.

My mother would probably slap me, and I would become a laughingstock. The unworthy daughter who failed to be a proper doctor and secure a husband…

The nobody who was desperately trying to climb up the social ladder by bringing down her own cousin…

The crazy bitch who wanted Ravi for herself…

The slut ex-girlfriend who had the audacity to show up at the wedding in a pitiful attempt to upstage the bride herself…

Yeah, they would probably say all that and more.

However, before I could wallow in self-pity, I watched in disbelief as Tania rushed over, beaming with excitement, to greet the woman beside Silas.

“Everyone! Meet my Boss, Ms. Anika Blackthorn,” Tania announced, clapping her hands in excitement. “She’s the CEO of Blackthorn enterprises and this is her fiancé, Mr. Silas!”

If I may repeat it for the third time… what the fuck?

My mind couldn't comprehend the sudden turn of events. Silas disappeared without a trace, and now he's suddenly engaged to this woman? This wolf?

I honestly didn’t don't know what to feel…but I certainly hadn't expected this sudden rush of emotions that I couldn’t even name.

Amidst the jubilation of the crowd, I felt lost and overwhelmed.

I couldn't bear to witness their celebration, pretending like everything was fine while I was in shambles on the inside and I didn’t even understand why!

The weight of the day's surprises pushed down on me, and I needed a way to cope, to numb the pain and confusion that threatened to consume me. And in every sense of the words…the party was just getting started.

In search of solace, I slipped away from the crowd, escaping to a secluded corner of the venue where the bar was situated. The distant music and laughter became muffled, and I could finally hear the beating of my own heart.

I wasn’t a drinker; in fact, I hardly ever drank alcohol. But today was a special occasion. So I was making an exception.

Silas's unexpected appearance and the revelation about his fiancée had left me feeling unsettled. The thought of numbing the unease with a few glasses of wine crept into my thoughts like a tempting whisper.

“One.” I asked the bartender, who was just about done setting the bar. He didn’t say anything, but the raised eyebrow told me all I needed to know. “Hey, it’s gotta be 5 p.m. somewhere!”

I shrugged and was glad when he actually poured me a whiskey and placed the glass in front of me. I wasn’t actually that far off, because my cell phone said it was 3.12PM, so I took the glass in my hands, getting ready to drown my worries and anxieties.

But just as I was about to take a sip… just as the glass touched my lips… Silas was suddenly there, hastily taking the glass away from me.

Can I say it for the fourth time today? What the fuck!

My heart skipped a beat as Silas's touch jolted me out of my thoughts. I turned to face him, trying to hide the turmoil within me.

I opened my mouth, ready to give him a piece of my mind…until he said:

"How the hell can you still bring yourself to drink alcohol when you're pregnant?"

Wow…fifth time’s a charm: "What the fuck?"
