Meanwhile at the underground parking the ambulance had already pulled way towards the exit with the red light on. And because it was an emergency light, no one bothered to check it and after exiting the hospital it drove on the main road for fifteen minutes and just outside the city, two men wearing casual Jeans and pullovers got down from the ambulance and got inside a Mercedes waiting for them and drove away into the busy street.
With Hudson directing her, Callie drove to his father's villa , on the outskirts of the city and pulled into the driveway. The Villa was very beautifully built and right in front of it there was a huge Lake. But he front of the house there were flower beds that had benefited from consisting watery and bloomed so beautifully that Callie h just stared at it and enjoyed the view.
"You grew up in this house?" I asked carefully not wanting to awake any bad memories inside him.
"This is the first house my parents had built together and I was born here." Hudson looked around shaking his head.
"Why are you shaking your head aren't you happy that you are back to a place where you were born?" I asked curiously.
"Callie you know the reason why I drove here and as much as I love to come back to this Villa I would rather not do it when my dad is around." He looked at her and said. "You can stay here and wait for me. While I talk to him."
"I'll come with you," I said quickly.
He did not say anything and came and opened the door for me. He was very disturbed I observed, as I had told him his father was my first suspect and Hudson did not know what to do. On one side it was me and on the other side it was his father.
But I had a reason for doubting him because he had said the project was dangerous and he is a hotelier, he might be interested in their project land.
I had told Hudson about it and he insisted on talking to his father, as he was sure that Leo Ford may have not done his role as a father but murdering someone for his profit was way out of the league.
He had requested e to come along with him as he wanted me to listen to him and then judge him. At first I was very reluctant but I agreed as I love Hudson and wanted to believe that his father was innocent.
I sighed and walked along with him and rang the doorbell, as we reached the door.
After a minute or so beautiful leggy woman opened the door and I looked at her admiringly. Boy she was tall and her features very sharp.
She smiled at us and looked at us with an amusing smile.
"Hudson , oh, what a lovely surprise. Your father didn't tell me that you were coming here with your partner." The lovely blonde smiled seductively at him.
"Well hello Ella, Where is my father?" Hudson said directly. And I could see he was very angry.
"Okay, I get it so, you haven't informed him that you were coming. My dear he was not feeling well after he came back from the wedding and had slept very late. He just woke up and is having his breakfast near the lake. Would you like to join him or do you want me to tell him to come inside,"
Ella said flatly. Looking at me with humour in her eyes and I wondered, why?
"Its okay I will go and meet him there." Hudson said and after ignoring her, he caught hold of my hand and walked forward. Just then a plump-looking woman, who looked like she was in her mid-fifties walked towards us with a tray.
"Master Hudson you are home." She came towards us with a smile on her face and it wared my heart.
"Maria." Hudson called her out and gave her a bear hug. "How have you been? I always miss your hot chocolate, can you make some for me and my girlfriend?" Hudson said mischievously and grinned at her looking very naughty.
"Now, now my dear master, don't flatter me and of course, I am going to prepare it for you. Did you say he is your girlfriend?" She looked at me and I felt awkward, as this was the first time Hudson has formally introduced me as his girlfriend. And I was blushing.
"Its really nice to meet you miss." She said with a smile.
"Maria, this is Callie , my girlfriend and Callie this is Maria, our housekeeper. Who has been serving our family since the time my mother was alive." Hudson introduced us formally.
I extended my hand to shake hands with her but Maria chose to come and hug me and I smiled.
Then she moved away and looked at me with confusion because I did not say anything.
Hudson understood the confusion and said. "Maria, Callie cannot speak but she can hear you and she is saying that it was nice meeting you too." Hudson said it for me and Maria nodded as if she understood.
"Maria , did dad finish his breakfast?" Hudson inquired.
"No Hudson , Mr. Ford is in a foul mood today. His BP was very high yesterday. Just wait for some time and then go and meet him. He is still having his breakfast and you know your dad how he is." Maria said dispersedly and shrugged her shoulders." I will prepare hot chocolate for both of you. You can sit and relax in the living room."
"Okay we will wait for him in the living room, just inform me when he is done."
Maria nodded and turned to go but she caught sight of the female standing near the door and listening to their conversation.
"Miss Ella, do you want anything as master had told me to pack you bag. Santino will be here to drop you to town."
"No need Maria, I will do it myself just call me when the car arrives." Ella said angrily.
After Maria went into the kitchen, she walked towards the living room and looked at Hudson with hungry eyes.
As if sensing that someone was looking at him Hudson raised his eyes only to be met with Ella's eyes but after a second he looked away.
I was looking at both of them and wondering did anything happen between them.
Just then Ella entered and said sarcastically. "Really Hudson , you actually like dumb girls? I thought you were a man with good taste but your taste it seems has gone sour."
Hudson ignored her and I looked at them back and forth.
"Hudson Ford, I am talking to you, can't you at least answer me. After all we are school friends, how can you ignore me?" Ella said angrily.
Hudson looked at her and then at me and said. "Ella, I don't have to explain anything to you. And I will not tolerate anyone giving names to my girlfriend, so just leave or I might do something, which I will never regret. And I was your friend not anymore." He warned her.
"You are ignoring me because of her." Ella said forcefully.
"I said leave." Hudson growled.
Just then Maria entered with a tray loaded with snacks and I sighed with relief.
Ella stomped her foot and walked away.
