Callie POV
As if I was waiting for his call, I got up abruptly and looked at him, wondering if I was dreaming and then looked towards my brother, who was standing close behind Hudson .
I was trembling with fear and my body was shaking. I couldn't move and tears were rolling down my cheeks.
Hudson took me in his arms and held me tightly and I felt so secure. I was crying miserably as if I had not cried for a long time and after a while Jayden said.
"Callie sweetheart, we will be going back home to Budapest, I am shutting down the project. You don't have to be scared, I have already lost mom and dad, can't lose you."
Suddenly I couldn't take it any longer and opened my mouth and whispered.
"Jayden."
Hudson and Jayden were shocked and so Scarlett .
Did Callie actually speak?
"Callie !" Jayden exclaimed and walked towards her, with tears in his eyes.
"Jayden, we can't go back the man who killed our parents was the one who tried to kill the women at the hotel!" Callie exclaimed in one breath.
Callie had cried a lot and was sitting snuggled in her brother's embrace, while Hudson and Scarlett looked at them affectionately.
It was quite a surprise and a big jolt for him that his sister could speak and they were both crying together. As they were shedding tears of joy.
Finally Jayden moved her at his arm's length and asked. " Callie , what happened? How did you get back your voice?"
I looked at Hudson for some time and then said. " Jayden, it's been a few years before grandma passed away. I wanted to tell you but after grandma's death I was devastated, so I decided to be numb, as it was a second blow for me that the person who had I loved dearly passed away."
" I truly am sorry but today when I saw the murderer's back, I was very confused. I closed my eyes and before I realize and could react, he vanished. I was shocked and remembered everything that happened the day mom and dad were murdered brutally by that man. I had seen everything with my own eyes, as mom had hidden me in the secret chamber. And when I tried to shout for help, I couldn't speak and I fainted and after that I could not utter any sound from my mouth. Jayden I can't stop the project, the murderer is still running wild and killing innocent people. We have to stop him or there will be more killings. We have to do it for our parents." Callie said desperately.
Jayden was looking at her with a lot of concern and Hudson wanted to hold Callie tightly and tell her that he was there to hold her hand, no matter what happened in the future.
"Does that mean that you are the witness of your parent's murder Callie ? Will you recognize the man if you see him?" Scarlett exclaimed suddenly.
I shook my head and replied. " No, I did not see his face but I saw the tattoo on his back and it was quite devilish, so it can't be forgotten. I had seen it clearly."
"But what if it's not the same guy." Scarlett interposed.
"Scarlett , I am sure it was him, I have never seen that kind of tattoo on anyone." I confirmed.
Hudson who was sitting quietly and listening to them spoke. "Callie , if you are the sole witness of the crime then you are in grave danger and we need to plan it out properly, so that we can catch him right-handed as he is a serial killer, who stops at nothing."
I looked at his handsome face and thought, Hudson had always been kind to me and helped me many times but I couldn't jeopardize his life for our problems and spoke. "Hudson I think you have done enough already and we would like to deal with it ourselves. So it's better you stay away from us from now on or you will be in grave danger and I won't be able to forgive you if anything happens to you."
Jayden looked at him and said. " Yes Hudson Callie is right, we can't involve you, as it's too dangerous. Although I had decided to stop the project because of Callie 's safety, I can't let this matter go lightly and if we run away from our fears, it is bound to come back again, so we better deal with ourselves.
Hudson was looking angrily at both the brother and sister and wondering, aren't they both stubborn and shrugged his shoulders.
"Callie , I think we better move back to the villa tomorrow, as it would be much safer and it had CCTV cameras everywhere and I will ask uncle for more security." He said with determination.
"Wait a minute." Hudson whispered. "Jayden can I talk to Callie , alone for some time?"
I looked at Hudson with a confused expression and Jayden looked at me and then at Scarlett signaling her to move out of the room with him.
As they went they closed the door. Jayden already knew about our relationship, so I knew he was us some space but I was quite scared with the way Hudson was staring at me.
'Callie when did you get your voice back?" He asked me with gritted teeth.
I was really scared of him right now because as I could feel the edge in his voice but I couldn't tell him how I got my voice back it was embarrassing.
I looked at him but did not answer.
He took my face in both hands and said. " Answer me Callie ."
I looked at him shyly as my eyelids flickered and whispered. " The day we made love and you took my virginity away. My whole body was filled with pain and pleasure and I screamed your name." I lowered my eyes not being able to look at him. "but I guess we were both drunk and you did not notice."
Hudson let go of her face ad held her tightly.
"Oh, Callie , then why did you run away?" He whispered.
"I was really happy that finally I gave myself to you, but when I woke up I came to know that grandma was admitted to the hospital. So I panicked and rushed home. But on my way back I realized that, I loved you a lot. But when grandma died, I was shattered and it took me a lot of time to get back to my normal self. I wanted to go back to you but when I thought about you and our life together, I was scared, as the people whom I loved, left me, one after the other and I couldn't bring myself to cause you any pain. So I decided to busy myself with work and forget you."
"But, I never stopped loving you Callie ." Hudson exclaimed.
"I know. Neither did I." I whispered.
"Then why are you pushing me away?" Hudson said softly.
I took his face and cupped it and kissed his lips. " It's because I love you that I don't want you to get hurt."
Hudson looked at her aggrieved face and sighed.
"Listen to me Callie and listen to me very carefully,. I will not leave your side, no matter what happens. So don't even think of pushing me away." Hudson said with determination.
"Even if you know that you father is my first suspect?" Callie said softly.
'What ! "Hudson exclaimed loudly.
Hudson was driving his car very furiously. He was in a lot of emotional turmoil, as Callie had told him that his dad was her main suspect for her parents murder. He had gone all numb and did not know what to say but when Callie told him about her brief talk with his father at the dance floor and his warning. Hudson was very furious and decided to talk to his father.
After reassuring Callie that he would not leave her at any cost, he had driven out and called his father but his cell phone was switched off. He checked his phone and saw that his aunt had called, and he wondered if everything was okay and had driven straight towards the hospital.
He reached the hospital within minutes as he was driving recklessly. He had to vent his anger somewhere, getting off the car he rushed inside and once he reached, he saw his aunt was sitting on the chair outside the ICU and his eyes were closed. He looked so tired.
He walked slowly and sat down beside her. As if sensing his presence Steffanie opened her eyes and looked at him lovingly.
"Hudson , you are back. How is Callie ?" Steffanie spoke with concern, Hudson had already told her what had happened.
"She is fine aunt Steff. But a little shaken. I guess a goodnight's sleep is what she needs to cool down her senses." Hudson said softly.
"It must have been really scary, seeing the murderer. I am just happy that he did not harm Callie ." Steffanie said happily.
"Aunt Steff, its very late, you should go home, I will stay here and make sure everything is fine and will call you if anything goes wrong."
"Okay Hudson , if you say so, you too get some rest, as I know it's been a hell lot of a day today and you must be really tired," Steffanie said with concern and touched his forehead.
She kissed his cheek and got up to go but Hudson held his hand and whispered.
"Aunt Steff, do you think dad can murder someone?" Hudson asked softly.
Steffanie looked at him very closely and said. "Hudson , I know your dad really well and I don't know why you asked me the question but Leo would never take anyone's life and you as his son should know that. He might have not fulfilled his duties as a father but he cannot kill someone." Steffanie said firmly and sat beside him again.
"Care to tell me, what happened."
