After drinking a glass of beer, I was trying to look around and see if there was anything suspicious but nothing happened that day. And I went back home only after the bar was about to close.
I was really tired when I came back home thankfully my housekeeper had been advised to take care of Callie, so I did not have to worry about it. I know I am just risking my life by going out after the killer but somehow I couldn't see someone killing innocent people and roam around loosely in the city.
Today again I went to the same bar but I was not alone I had dragged along my soul sister Stella who was also know as Pamela with me I did not want the people in the bar to get suspicious of me as a lady sitting in the bar and drinking alone would cause a lot of trouble. So I asked her to help me.
She had always been my car partner in crime, so she readily agreed. she was married to an Italian businessman Leo Ford , a very handsome and charming man and had given birth to a very cute little boy Hudson Ford.
She was sometimes quite bored at home so I always dragged her along in some of my missions to help me. Even she has studied psychology but not criminal psychology when we started studying together in college. So she knew a lot about human behavior.
We were just sipping our drink when all of a sudden I saw Jordan Brooke entering the bar looking very handsome in his casual clothes.
His eyes were roaming all around the place as if he was looking for someone and all of a sudden his eyes landed on us and he walked towards us.
We were in disguise but we were worried that he would recognize us so we hid our faces and ignored him when he came to the bar, where we were sitting.
"Good evening ladies, Are you two drinking alone?" he asked very politely.
She changed her voice and whispered " Sir, can't you see that we are not alone. we have each other for company and we are not seeking anyone's company. I've met my friend after a long time so we are catching up so if you're trying to buy us a drink forget about it we already have one." She smiled and ignored him.
Brooke grinned. "Wohh......Lady, cool down. I was just asking casually. don't take get me wrong." After that he ordered his drink and sat near us but did not say anything to pursue the matter, as she had told him very flatly about her intentions.
I wanted to pat her back and praise her.
I watched Brooke very closely and observed that he was drinking a very hard drink and after probably two or three rounds he was done and he looked towards our direction and smiled at us in farewell before heading out of the bar.
Suddenly she grabbed my hand and said. " Hey look that girl is so drunk and there is a man with a hat, he just picked her up and went out of the bar."
"Come let's follow him, I think we've got him today."
We paid for drinks and then walked casually as if nothing happened and moved outside of the bar.
We saw that the man was dragging that woman towards the parking area. we were giggling and talking while we two moved towards the parking lot where our cars were parked.
We saw the man and the girl get into the car, even we hurriedly sat inside our cars.
And as soon as the car started moving forward, we let it go a little bit ahead and then started following it.
I was in my car and she was in her car we were following him randomly.
but the car was driving fast and slowly it was moving towards the outskirts of the city. We were following him very closely making sure that we kept a safe distance.
All of a sudden the car stopped near an old building and the man came out and dragged the girl inside. I tried to look at the man very carefully but failed to see his face as it was covered with the hat.
we went a little for the ahead and parked cars in a safe place, where we couldn't be seen.
Then I told her to wait inside the car while I go and check. I walked on tiptoe and reached the building and climbed up as there were no lifts in that building.
But when I reached the first floor, it was as if I had come to a dead-end I did not know which room he had taken the girl.
But the building looked quite old and deserted and I was not sure that anyone lived here.
So I checked all the apartments and observed that it was all locked on the first floor.
so I moved to the second floor and the same thing happened, all the doors were locked.
Finally, I came to the third floor the last floor in the building and went around but again all the doors were locked.
I was getting very agitated and was frightened a little. I slowly walked to the top of the terrace and walked on tiptoe and saw the dark space where only moonlight could be seen. I went slowly behind the water tank and heard someone moan with pleasure and I knew what was happening. I was very embarrassed and had a feeling that I had made a wrong hunch, so I was about to get up and leave but all of a sudden the woman started screaming.
"Stop it's hurting please don't do it."
I stopped dead on my track.
And turned around slowly and walked towards the place where the noise was coming from.
Suddenly I saw something bright in the man's hand. and for sure I knew it was a dagger.
He was about to strangle her throat, I panicked and picked up a log beside me and threw it at him. he became alert and turned around, I was really scared I did not know what to do but thankfully I brought my gun with me, which I had taken it out and was pointing at him.
He laughed and started moving towards me, I could see the woman was lying naked behind him I felt pity for her.
"Don't move or I'll kill you." I warned him and he started moving towards me still laughing.
Somehow I had a feeling that I had heard the voice somewhere.
When he did not listen to me and kept moving, I fired the shot but missed it as he dogged sideways. There was big noise because of the gunshot.
"You don't know what you've done. Do you want to die here." the man spoke with anger.
Somehow I had regained my confidence back and I shot him again but he ducked and fell away. He went and hid behind a big box and I fired at him again.
Suddenly I saw many people rushing inside the terrace and I was worried whether they were bad men or Goodmen.
"Emily are you alright? she whispered and boy I was so relieved to hear her voice.
But my gun was pointed at the killer.
"Don't come forward there's a man behind the big box and he was trying to kill that woman."
"Miss don't worry we've covered him up your friend had informed us a few minutes back when she heard the gunshot and it was her luck that we were patrolling on the road, just stay put we will handle this."
But suddenly the man lounged himself forward and jumped from the roof,
All of us were shocked and followed where he had jumped but we couldn't see him anywhere as it was dark outside. The policeman ran downwards to check but he had already escaped.
I was very disappointed that he had escaped but a little bit relieved that I could save the women who were about to be killed by the killer. She was in a daze because she was drunk, so we had to rush her to the hospital and she was sent to intensive care.
After making sure about her security arrangement we returned home.
That night the voice was ringing a bell in my head but I couldn't place the voice. I was sure that I had heard that voice somewhere but I could not place it.
