Dressed in overhauls, Levi and Logan walk downstairs and then stopped outside one of the offices noting the lettering on the glass door, where Jeremy's name was engraved on it . Logan scratched his head and looked around, listening intently. The office building was small and Jeremy's office was one of the only dozen places of business, on the second floor. At this hour, the area and the buildings were pretty much deserted.
Levi tapped against the door and waited for a response and Logan was wondering why was he acting foolish . He tapped again, this time a little louder. After walking through the woods and reaching the van at the check post, they have taken the woman to t doctor Davis's clinic and advised him not to let anyone know about her, After that had rushed to Jeremy's office.
Levi tried to open the door but to his amazement the door opened by itself and when they walked inside they came face to face with Callie and Hudson who were already alert when Levi started knocking on the door.
Levi could see Callie's mouth was wide open when he saw them and she acted as if she had seen a ghost.
Then he saw Callie run towards them and rush and hug Logan tightly. But there was another shock waiting for them when he heard Callie speak.
"Uncle Logan where have you been I've been trying to meet you?" Tears started streaming down my cheeks as uncle Logan held me in his arms. I was crying miserably and so was he.
"Callie my darling little girl you're grown so tall and beautiful I am so sorry I couldn't be there for you when you were growing up you must be so disappointed with your old man." Logan whispered.
Levi was also crying as he knew Logan loved Callie and treated her like his daughter as Emily was his beloved sister.
After some time Hudson cleared his throat and whispered.
"We better get moving or your friends might drop in any time."
Levi looked at Hudson and liked him very much and nodded his head in agreement.
"But where will we go?" He whispered.
"Hey don't worry I'll take you somewhere safe, just trust me and follow behind me."
He then held Callie's hand and started walking out while Levi and Logan followed behind him .
They walked down the stairs very slowly as it was quite dark and reached the underground parking and got inside their cars and dove out of the parking lot.
Liam drove very slowly on the main road for almost two kilometers, before taking a narrow Lane near the District Hospital and driving through a very posh locality. He parked outside a huge gate. I was nervous and scared for my godfather and kept turning back to look for his car and was relieved to see that it had followed behind us.
The door opened and we got inside and the other car also followed behind. It was too dark inside.
As soon as the gate was shut, the whole parking was illuminated with light, as if someone was waiting for us.
Hudson turned and smiled at me and gestured me to get down from the car and as soon as I walked towards him he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the lift.
I panicked and whispered. "Hudson godfather and his brother are behind us we should take them along with us."
"Callie don't you trust me? we'll meet them upstairs don't worry just come along with me." he whispered.
Yes, I trusted him and could see that he was up to something, so I did not question him and followed behind him.
We took the lift and reached the topmost floor and the whole time Hudson was holding my hand very very tightly.
As the lift door opened , we walked out and I observed that we had reached a suite and it was quite big but what surprised me, when I walked inside was the most was, the beautiful view of the city. the city lights look beautiful and enchanting and I stood there and stared at it for a long time
Hudson came behind me and held my waist .
"Where are we? whose place is this? I asked curiously.
"This is my new hotel project Callie and no one knows about it except for me and Liam, as I wanted to surprise dad. It's his 65th birthday in the coming month, so I wanted to give this hotel as a present to him." he whispered.
"Hudson this is a very beautiful surprise, I'm sure your father will be proud of you." I said genuinely.
"But I wanted to show you first, so I told Liam to entertain your godfather. And I am glad you liked it." Hudson smiled and hugged her tightly.
After few minutes Logan and his brother arrived with Liam.
I ran and hugged her godfather again and whispered. " I am so glad you are alright godfather. We had gone down the other day to the commissioner's office to seek his written permission to visit you in the remand hospital but came to know that you had escaped. I was so worried but thankfully you are alright.
Hudson gestured everyone to be seated in the lounge and told Liam to tell his subordinates to get the evening snacks.
I went and sat near Logan and held his hand. " Godfather, how have you been all these years?"
Logan looked at Callie, lovingly and whispered. " Callie my child, it's been a hell lot of a roller coaster ride but looking at you today, all grown up and beautiful. I am really happy my child. But how come you can speak? Levi told me you had lost your voice after your parent's death. Only I knew you could speak but it was stated in the jury report that you were dumb."
I looked at him and told him the whole saga and by the end of it Logan was smiling.
"Callie, you saw everything that day, isn't it?" Logan asked softly.
