"You look comfortable."
He was startled awake, Hudson looked around before turning and seeing Callie standing there. She wore a black two-piece business suit ; A white blouse pecked out at the neckline. Her neck was encircled with a small strand of pearls , her hair tied in a simple bun, a touch of makeup and pale red lipstick tinting her face.
I smiled. "I'm sorry darling I had to wake you, you were sleeping so peacefully. I received a call from Scarlett and she informed me that Jayden had regained his consciousness and is looking for me, so I better run along to the hospital ,as I have to go to the office as well. Uncle Scott had called me up, as there is a meeting which was scheduled for today and Jayden had to attend it but now that he's in the hospital I need to rush."
"Callie, let me freshen up then I will take you myself, even I want to go and check on Jayden ." Hudson said as he got up from the bed.
I was busy watching his physique, as he looked so damn sexy even when he woke up.
"Have you been watching me long?" Hudson asked and I wonder why he had.
"Long enough. You can take a shower now and get ready as you need to rush to the court have you forgotten about it, your aunt's case will be discussed today."
Hudson walked towards Callie and hugged her tightly.
"Hudson your aunt needs you at the courtroom today. She had called up when you were sleeping and I happen to see her call, so I texted her that you were sleeping, she replied telling me to remind you to go to the court and I assured her that you will be there on time and she also told me that Wanda has regained her consciousness and the doctors have told her that she will cover pretty fast now. I was waiting for you to wake up." She stepped back and kissed him on his lips before grabbing her bag and rushing out without looking backward.
Hudson was worried about her because he did not want to leave her alone after what happened last night with Jayden. He called up Liam and advised him to send someone to follow Callie everywhere she goes. He wanted to make sure that she was always protected.
After that he walked towards the washroom to freshen up, as he needed to rush to the court.

Scarlett was feeding Jayden, a bowl of Porridge as he had not eaten anything since the evening and was on a saline drip.
Jayden had lost a lot of blood and was feeling weak but looking at Scarlett his heartfelt warmth and he allowed her to feed him. whenever he was near her, he felt all sorts of emotions disturbing his equilibrium but he knew that it was not the right time to do anything about it, as his and Callie's world was not safe for her and he would rather not put her into any difficult situation.
Scarlett could feel Jayden was staring at her but she lowered her head trying to hide her emotions which could betray her and moment. She wanted to hug him real bad and cry in his arms.
She loved him dearly and the day before was an eye-opener for her that she should tell him about her feelings but she was scared.
She finished feeding him the bowl of porridge and was about to go to the washroom when Callie arrived.
Callie's POV
I was standing and watching my brother and Scarlett, they are so near but still afar and I knew why Jayden was hesitant in declaring his love for her and I could understand his helplessness. Even I had the same feeling towards Hudson but he managed to talk me out of it. I smiled thinking about the way he protected me. I wish all our problems get over soon and Jayden and Scarlett can love each other endlessly.
I smiled as Scarlett turned and saw me at the door and I rushed to my brother's side, so that it won't be awkward for her and sat beside him holding his hand. I kissed his hand and looked at him lovingly with tears in my eyes.
"Jayden, how are you feeling?" I said softly.
He caressed my cheeks and whispered. " I am fine Callie, just a little weakness. Don't worry about me too much. Where is Hudson? And how did he allow to come alone?"
I knew he was worried about me and said. " He had to go to the court, regarding his aunt's case and I needed to go to the office, so I did not bother him. Don't worry uncle Scott has arranged for two bodyguards for me and besides I need to go to the shareholders meeting as you won't be present. Uncle Scott said, I shouldn't miss it as they all want to meet us."
"Okay Callie, but please be careful as I think that there is someone in the office who tried to harm me and I think his next target would be you. So be alert." Jayden said with concern.
" I will, now I better run along and you take care of yourself. Scarlett will be here with you so I won't worry too much." I smiled and winked at him and Jayden made a serious face.
Just then Scarlett returned from the washroom and saw Callie leaving and asked. "Leaving so soon."
"Yeah, I need to rush to the office and besides you are here so I need not worry, take care of my brother Scar, I will see you in the evening." She said and was about to walk out when Scarlett whispered.
"Campbell will land in the afternoon; I have told him to contact you once he lands and you know what to do next."
Callie smiled with understanding and nodded her head before leaving.
Scarlett watched her leave and looked around to check the room, Callie was careful enough not to arise suspicious while she was speaking but she could not afford any mistake from their end.
"Don't worry Scar, she was lipsing very softly, so even if they spy on us they won't find any trace." Jayden whispered.
And he was right because the room was soundproof and it was very safe, as the hospital belonged to Hudson's father and nobody would dare try to sabotage anything there as the staff was very dedicated.
"How come we talked about Campbell yesterday and he is on his way to Seattle?" Jayden questioned Scarlett curiously.
Scarlett bit her lips nervously and said softly. "I was worried about your safety and instructed him to catch the late-night flight."
Jayden did not say anything but stared at her with a gentle look in his eyes.
"Come here." He whispered and Scarlett looked at him nervously.
Jayden saw her nervous look and patted the place beside him.
Scarlett went and sat down and before she could ask him anything, Jaden pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly.
Scarlett was shocked and tried to move away as she did not want to hurt his wound but Jayden held her more tightly.
Finally she gave up and embraced him trying to feel the warmth of his body as she had always wanted to and hot tears flowed down her cheeks and wetted Jayden's hospital gown.
"Shhh....Scar, I am fine. Don't worry." Jayden assured her and kissed her hair.
He wanted to tell her about what he had been hiding from her all these years but looking at her trembling form he knew that they were on the same boat and no words can describe the feelings they had hidden for all these years. He just wanted to protect her but now he realized that he had to show her because he would regret it if he died too early and he just needed this moment to show her much she meant to him. He hugged her tightly even when his wounds caused him slight pain.
