Hudson read the report twice as it was related to Callie, he wanted to be sure about everything. He wanted to know why Callie had left him back then.
The report stated that Callie and Jayden were the children of Late Emily Clarke and Late Richard Clarke , who were killed brutally in their villa, fourteen years back.
Emily Clarke and Richard Clarke were both CIA special agents and were very acclaimed in their work.
Though Emily belonged to an aristocratic family, she had a grave interest in criminal psychology and pursued her studies at the University of London, where she met her love Richard Clarke. They both completed their studies and joined the CIA together. And after a few years got married to each other.
Richard Clarke was not a big shot like Emily's father but belonged to a very humble middle-class family. His mother had died giving birth to him and his father passed away when he was eighteen. But Emily's Father was a very wise man and knew that Richard would always keep his daughter happy, so accepted him into the family with open arms. And a year later he passed away due to prolonged sickness.
Their personal life was going on blissfully but their professional life was chaos and because of this they sometimes couldn't see each other for months but their love for each other remained the same.
Although Emily was desired by many men, even though she was married, she ignored their advances. After two years of marriage, she gave birth to her son and after a few years a daughter.
But because of their work schedule, Emily had left her children with her mom in Budapest, as she was very concerned about their safety. But would often go and visit them.
The year they were murdered, Emily was severely injured in one of her outdoor cases and as a reason, she resigned, as she wanted to give time to her children.
But as a young girl, she had always dreamt of building a hospital and old age home for the poor for the needy when she was a child, she had a nanny called Anna, who was very loving and caring and she was very fond of her.
Anna stayed with her family at night and would come to take care of her in the morning. She was quite old by then but her hugs were the best hugs for Emily apart from her mother's hugs. Her mother loved her dearly but sometimes she had to travel abroad with her husband, so she could not take Emily along with her, as it would hamper her studies and Emily's mother knew Anna was a reliable nanny so would go for her trips with a peace of mind, as she knew Anna would take care of her daughter.
One morning one of the maids came rushing towards her, while she was eating her breakfast and informed her that Anna had fainted outside the villa and their chauffeur had taken her to the hospital.
Emily hurriedly went to the hospital in another car, to check on her, as her parents had gone on a business trip.
After making sure that Anna was fine, she asked the chauffeur about what had happened and he told her that Anna's son had thrown her out of the house in the middle of the night because she had refused to give him money, as he was a big-time drunkard and even his wife had left him because of it.
So Anna had nowhere to go and decided to spend the night on the bench outside the villa.
Emily had tears in her eyes, as she loved Anna very much and instructed the chauffeur to arrange a room for her at the villa, as she wanted Anna to stay with them.
Then she called up her mother and told her mother about what had happened and her mother was very happy that Emily took the right decision.
She had made up her mind back then she would build an old age home for the elders and also a hospital for the needy.
But unfortunately just before the project started she and her husband were brutally murdered by someone who had a grudge against them, as they had dealt with many criminal cases. And the case was closed.
Callie and Jayden had flown down for the funeral with their grandmother but had never set foot again in Seattle.
But now both the siblings were back to complete what their mother had left halfway.
Hudson looked outside, as they passed the shops and wondered whether the accident today and the accident back then were related to each other.
But what caught his interest was that his uncle Jackson Harris was their colleague and he was sure he would know more about the case. He was happy that he had decided to go for dinner at his aunt's place, as he could ask him directly for some information.
Though he never liked his uncle he was always courteous to him because of his aunt.
About an hour later Liam stopped the car outside the Ex-mayor's villa and Hudson got out of the car and took a deep breath, as he knew he would have a long evening that day.
Liam understood his expression and followed him behind.
The maid came in and escorted them inside. When Hudson appeared in front of his aunt, she looked at him for a long time and then rushed and came towards him, taking him in her embrace and hugging him tightly.
Then she pushed him away and looked at him angrily. "Hudson, why are looking so weak, don't you eat your food on time? I think I will have to pack food for you from on and send it to the office."
"Aunty Steff, I am absolutely fine and besides Liam is here to take care of me, so don't worry." Hudson said hurriedly.
Though she was not satisfied with his explanation, as soon as she heard Liam's name she turned and saw him standing at the doorway and went and hugged him as well. "Liam, why are you standing at the door? Come inside this is your house too, make yourself comfortable, I will get you both something to drink."
"What about me, my darling wife?" Jackson said in a dejected tone.
