Amia
Meeting Dylan’s father here was not in the plans and I could tell it was something he wasn’t happy about. Dylan was very particular. He didn’t like changes and he didn’t like it when things didn’t go his way. After the introduction with his father, I could feel the anger coming off of him in waves. I kept my head down and my eyes on my plate. I knew he was the Alpha’s son but we never talked about it. I wasn’t with him because of who his father was and I didn’t like to think to far ahead into the future. The only thing I focused on was getting as far away from possible from Greg when I became of age.
Dylan didn’t say a word and my heart beat quickened with every moment that passed in silence. I dug my thumbnail into my index finger. I want to ask him about what’s bothering him but I’m worried that what I say will only make it worse. I know he’s upset but I don’t know what to say.
What can I say to make this better?
Is there anything I can do to take us back to ten minutes ago?
We were having a good night but it’s ruined now. I don’t want to leave it like this. Now that I’ve made my mind up I call on the Goddess to give me strength. Maybe I can make it better. I look up and Dylan’s jaw is clenched and his gaze is on the waters outside. I peek at the other table and notice the mysterious man’s eyes are on me.
His black hair had been swooped back but one strand of hair was loose and fell over his eyes. His piercing gray eyes are hard not to be mesmerized by. I don’t know him but I know from their dinner that he is someone of high rank. I felt something from him. I’m not sure what it was but I felt something. My eyes still hold his gaze when a rough hand gripped my chin and forced my head toward Dylan.
I’m eye-to-eye with my angry boyfriend. My cheeks reddened in embarrassment from being caught. Dylan glared at me with a hatred that hurt as his fingers dug into the skin of my jaw. He shoved my face and I sunk back against the chair. The temple in his jaw ticked and flagged down the waitress. She nodded and headed toward us. He hasn’t said a word to me.
He’s angry.
He’s pissed.
We’re leaving now.
I think… I think I’m scared of-no.
I ignored the alarms that were blaring and the unease that crept up my spine at being alone with him. I looked at the table but they had already left. When the waitress stopped by our table she informed us that a man named Andrius covered our bill. Andrius was not the name of is father. I chewed my bottom lip as I followed Dylan outside. He remained quiet as the valet came to a stop in his Audi.
Dylan opened the door for me and I climbed in. He slammed the door shut and I jumped in fear. After he hopped in and closed the door I couldn’t stand the silence any longer. I turned so that I faced him. I reached out to touch his hair but he slapped my hand away. My jaw dropped in shock as a stinging sensation made its way up my hand. He turned from me and started the car.
Relax.
If he thinks you’re scared of him he’ll only get angrier.
Defuse the situation.
“Why are you mad?” I asked in a hushed whisper. Dylan shook his head and kept his eye on the road. “Please, I just want to know what’s wrong. I want to make this better. I don’t want to end the night with you angry. I want to know what I’ve done,” I Plead.
I searched his face for some sort of understanding but he doesn’t turn his head to look at me. There’s no effort on his part to soothe me despite us being at odds. Minutes pass in silence but eventually he jerked the car to the right and parked on the side of the street. he turned his head to look at me and my mouth dried. His eyes were cold. He wasn’t just angry he was pissed.
Dylan leaned closer to me and I waited for him to say something. I gasped in surprise when his lips crashed against mine. He kissed me hungrily as if he would devour me if he could. I’m confused but the need to be comforted overruled it. I tried to keep up with him but he bit down on my lip. I cried out before I tasted blood. My boyfriend groaned and grabbed my hand. I squeezed his hard. I needed to know we were okay but I also just wanted to touch him. He dragged my hand down until it rested on his pants.
“Dylan…” I panted.
I broke the kiss and felt his hard length beneath the material. His lips trailed kisses down my neck and when his tongue slipped out a shiver ran down my spine. I swallowed down the bile that made it’s way into my mouth.
I haven’t done anything… not since…
“Do you know how hard it is to watch a man lust after you?” He growled as he nipped at the sensitive skin of my neck. “I wanted to rip him in half.”
“Dylan, I-I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I plead.
“I saw the way you looked at him. Are you going to tell me I was wrong? Don’t act like you weren’t eye fucking him.”
