THE DATE
Isabelle stood outside the most beautiful restaurant she had ever seen or could ever imagine.
The restaurant was located in the middle of a huge garden filled with hundreds of different tropical flowers and tall trees that had fairy lights twisted through their branches for romantic lighting.
The garden also had a beautiful stream that was miles long.
Fish swam peacefully through the stream whilst on top of the stream little lanterns floated down it, adding more romantic lighting.
The garden also had beautiful statutes, a maze, gazebos lit by fairy lights and fire pits scattered through out that provided cosy nooks for couples to cuddle up to toast marshmallows and star gaze.
The restaurants was made entirely out of glass walls and ceiling apart from the kitchen and toilets of course, which made the dinners feel like they were eating outside in the tranquil scenery surrounding the restaurant but provided the dinners with protection from the elements when needed. The combined tasteful architecture of the building and beautifully landscaped garden made it seem magical and Isabelle was speechless.
"I am glad you approve." Jake chuckled looking at his mate starring opened mouthed at his restaurant.
"It's so beautiful Jake, the gardens and the restaurants architecture the curves of the building and the glass... it's beautiful tonight with the stars out but it would be beautiful in summer with the sun streaming through the windows, Autumn with the beautiful array of colours in the tree leaves visible and winter too with snow falling down like magic, who ever thought of such an idea to be made of glass in a beautiful garden is a genius" Isabelle shrieked excitedly.
"Thank you it was one of my better ideas, see I am not just a pretty face," Jake replied with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes.
"And who said you were pretty I can't say I noticed..." Isabelle's banter was swiftly interrupted by Jake grabbing her and tickling her until she squealed in protest "STOP...P...LEASE." she giggled.
"Not until you admit I am the most handsome werewolf in the whole kingdom," Jake replied delighting in Isabelle squeals of joy.
"OKAY, Jak...e you are the...m...ost...handso..me...werewolf...ever...now...p.l...e.a....s....e....s...t.o....p."
Jake leaned down and helped her off the floor and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek as Isabelle smiled up at him, her cheeks flushed, her hair full of grass and her expression full of joy and humour, she looked so beautiful.
"Right then now that's settled shall we eat my love" Jake held out his arm in a gentlemanly gesture and Isabelle still glowing with joy took it and followed him inside.
They were sat at the best table of the restaurant in front of a large marble fire waiting on their food, the restaurant only had one other table in it, a table of 20. The group was made up of werewolf's from a neighbouring pack to the south who were celebrating one of the she-wolf's 40th birthday they had their reservation booked for two years so Jake allowed them to keep it but had cancelled the other reservations so he could romance Isabelle with out an audience.
His life had changed so much in a short period of time, ever since he met Isabelle she had melted his cold heart and bought joy, laughter and love back into his life. He for the first time since Laura's death was starting to think about the future, his future with Isabelle. He dreamed they would one day mate then marry like the humans did to seal their bond completely, he hoped they would have many decades of happiness together and when Isabelle was ready they would have a litter or a few or pups together, he wanted to grow old with her he loved her so much.
"What are you thinking about" Isabelle asked finally after studying her mate daydreaming for the past few minutes.
" Sorry, I was actually thinking about you and how much you have changed my life for the better in such a short time and how I am going to make sure we have a wonderful future together." Jake replied looking at Isabelle with sincerity and love.
" That's so sweet, I was actually thinking the same thing on our drive from the mall to here. I love you Jake."
" I love you too Isabelle." they were about to lean in and kiss when they heard a nervous gulp looking up they saw a young waitress who went beetroot as they both turned to look at her.
"I am so sorry, Alpha, I was bringing your food and then I realised too late you were having a moment and... I tried to walk away quietly but... well I was nervous." the young waitress whispered going redder and redder
" It's ok Julie thank you for delivering our food it smells wonderful," Isabelle said in a calming voice reading the girls name tag. The waitress smiled put the food down with a nervous thud and practically ran away not wanting to displease two Alpha's.
"Remind me to leave a large tip for the poor girl, I think serving two Alpha's is intimidating for her." Jake said before smiling in the waitress’s direction causing her to squeal and duck behind the counter making Isabelle giggle.
"Yes you will definitely need to give her a huge tip."
Isabelle and Jake spent the rest of the meal laughing and getting to know each other, telling each other funny tales from their childhoods, their favourite movies even sharing battle stories and fighting techniques they were indeed perfectly matched as mates and the conversation flowed freely as they both enjoyed each other’s company.
At the end of the meal Jake paid the bill and as promised he left the waitress a huge tip that made her stare up at him in shock. Jake grabbed Isabelle's coat and wrapped it over her shoulders she looked up at him smiling then let out an involuntary yawn.
" Wow, it's 12pm already, and you're exhausted. Shall we call it a night and go home?" Jake asked.
" I didn't realise it was so late and I have my first training session tomorrow, please if that's okay Thank you Jake tonight was more magical than I could ever of imagined."
Jake led Isabelle to the car and they both sat in the back as their driver took them home and soon Isabelle drifted off cuddled into Jake's muscular warm chest and Jake looked down at her lovingly stroking her hair.
They soon reached home and Isabelle was fast asleep not wanting to disturb her rest Jake picked her up carefully and carried her bridal style to her room he gently laid her on the bed and took off her shoes, he content plated changing her into pyjamas but considering her previous experiences with that bastard Alpha taking liberties he decided although his intentions were pure it was best not to in case he scared her so she left her clothed in her sundress and tucked a heavy blanket on top of her he bent down and quietly kissed her on the forehead, penned a quick note for her to read in the morning then set her alarm at 6 am in time for warrior training and left her to sleep in peace dreaming of her handsome loving mate.
