THE SAFE HOUSE
Jake missed her.
It was only 3 pm he would see her in 3 hours but he pinned for her and his wolf was restless demanding he go to her now.
Just as he was tempted to give in to his Wolf Carl mind-linked him " Alpha the kings messengers are at the border requesting to enter to speak to you."
Jake tensed the king’s messengers must be carrying a reply from the king regarding the letter he sent informing him about Isabelle and the Rogue Alpha.
He had been waiting on the kings reply and although he knew the king to be fair and just there was the small possibility the king would refuse Jake's request to allow Isabelle to join the army hunting the Rogue Alpha and instead demand she travel to his castle so he can re question heron the time she spent as the Rogue Alpha's captive hoping to gather intelligence from her that Jake may have missed to take the Rogue Alpha down. He hoped the king had enough faith in Jake's abilities and did not feel the urge to re question Isabelle, if anyone deserve to be there when the Rogue Alpha either met his end or was arrested to face justice it was her and honestly she was one of the rare werewolf's she-wolf's strong enough to help take him down - if she just believed in her abilities as much as he did.
“Very well allow them entrance and escort them to my office, Owen meet us there too." Jake quickly excused himself from the warriors he was speaking to and rushed to meet them.
"Demon Alpha, Protector of the realm, and Commander of the royal armies our king sends us with this..."the taller messenger announced handing him a letter as they both fell to their knees and bowed in respect of Jake's position and reputation.
"Thank you please have a seat whilst I read it and give you a reply, Carl and Owen see to it that they are given food and refreshments they must need them after their journey." Jake pointed to the seats in front of his desk as the messengers looked at each other confused briefly before sitting, they were not expecting such courtesy from an Alpha with a reputation as fierce as his.
Jake sat opposite them and opened the letter giving it his full attention, it read
"My dearest friend I apologise for the long wait in reply. First, let me congratulate you on finding your second chance mate, she sounds like she is a strong willed warrior and it is my deepest hope that you both find true happiness and love and she manages to tame your darkness and bring your restless soul peace just like my darling Andria has done for me. The intelligence you have gathered from your mate is useful and shall be a great aid in narrowing down the Rogue Alphas lair. I have considered your request to allow Isabelle to accompany the army to take the devil down and I can think of none more deserving of seeing justice administered than her, however you shall not need to wait on my written reply my queen and I shall be with you shortly in person with our army and we shall make a plan to take the Rogue Alpha down.
P.S. My queen said she is looking forward to meeting your mate and testing her battle skills herself.

"Well?" Carl asked as he put the tray containing the messenger’s meals and refreshments down with a ungraceful thud that made Owen tut and looked at Jake expectantly.
"The king and queen are coming here and they are bringing their army to help bring the Rogue Alpha to justice" Jake replied rolling his eyes at Carl's impatience.
"That's wonderful Isabelle will be so please when you tell her, when are they due to arrive?" Carl replied as Own smiled in agreement.
"He didn't say, when are they due" Jake asked the messengers
"Tomorrow evening, Alpha Demon, Protector of...."
"Thank you and please Alpha will do." Jake smiled.
"Shall I get Mable to get the pack organised for their royal highness's arrival Alpha," Owen asked
"Please Owen and if you can please prepare the messengers rooms in the warriors barracks for the evening and take them there to rest once they have finished their meals."
"If you'll excuse me I have to go over the intelligence Isabelle gave me and scout Arial maps of the rough area Isabelle described to see if I can narrow down the possible location of the Rogue Alpha's lair before the king arrives, if you need me I will be n the tactical planning room. looking over the maps." Jake nodded at them before mind-linking Carl to fetch him once Isabelle arrived back for dinner and he left them too it.
He had almost pin pointed the Rogue Alpha's exact location using a combination of Isabelle's knowledge, maps and satellite images...
His stomach growled and he looked at the clock.
It was 7pm, had Carl forgotten to fetch him when Isabelle returned he tried to mind-link him.
"Hey Carl thanks for fetching me when Isabelle returned, where is she now is she still in the hall"
There was a deafening silence before he heard Carl's anxious reply " Jake I am so sorry.... in all the commotion I forgot to get you or let you know I am so sorry I was busy consoling Ariana."
Jake's heart rate began to speed up at the distressed tone in his friend’s voice. " Consoling.... why what's happened is Mike okay and where is Isabelle!"
Jake used his Alpha hearing to listen for Isabelle's voice within the pack house but instead all he could hear was Arina's wailing.
" They've gone Jake.... he took them." Carl sobbed in reply
" WHO HAS TAKEN THEM!!" He demanded but deep down he already knew the answer.
" The Rogue Alpha... he left a message."
The car came to an abrupt halt as its breaks screeched.
" We are here my love." he purred in Isabelle's ear making her shiver in disgust at his closeness and sweet tone.
" Yes I see that." She replied drily making him chuckle.
" No now pet a little bit of resistance is.... pleasurable but remember not to push me to far." The Rogue Alpha replied stroking her cheek and Isabelle resisted the urge to bite his finger off.
The Rogue Alpha's turned to his driver and nodded and the driver quickly got out the car and ran round to open the door for the Rogue Alpha who got out holding his hand out to Isabelle.
Isabelle took a deep breath then took his offered hand and got out the car to take in her surroundings.
They were stood outside a secluded traditional cottage, it looked to have a large garden with a barn at the bottom of the garden and the cottage was on top of a steep hill - the perfect location to spot a ambush the Rogue Alpha had been smart in choosing his hide out. Isabelle sniffed the air trying to get any scents she could to help her guess their location and the lay out of the local area.
All Isabelle could smell was fresh sea air and.... lots of humans
"That'sright pet we are in human territory there's not a pack anywhere around here who can help you." he smirked pulling her closer.
Isabelle for a brief moment felt her chest squeeze tight, there were no allies of the Blood Fang Pack around to help them her and Mike would have to escape on their own. She felt her fear begin to rise up but her wolf quickly took over and growled at her telling her she was not the same weak prison she once was she was Isabelle the Female Alpha of the Blood Fang pack and she was all Mike had.
One way or another she would make sure Mike gets home to his parents she would not let the Rogue Alpha destroy another pup’s life and rip another family apart.
"Now you have seen our temporary home for the night lets get you inside and fed and our pack settled, the quicker we do that the quicker we can enjoy each other company.... intimately. "The Rogue Alpha smiled at her dragging her into the cottage.
Isabelle looked over her shoulder as she was tugged over the cottages thresh hold to see Mikey being pulled roughly out of the car and taken towards the garden no doubt he would be put in the barn.
"Don't worry Mike I will get you out of here safely just hang in there, Auntie Bella is coming." Isabelle thought to herself as she controlled her temper and began to think of an escape plan.
