LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
After Jake's unexpected and dramatic announcement and when the cheers had finally settled down the rest of the night had passed in a happy blur for Isabelle. She was whisked around the room to meet and greet every pack member from she-wolfs desperate to tell her how beautiful she looked, to warriors equally as desperate to ask her about her fighting techniques and arrange sparring matches with her to the pack Pups who ran around her in circles tugging at her hair, dress or hands desperately trying to get her attention between her conversations with the adult pack members. Isabelle despite werewolf's fighting for her attention and not having a second to herself felt incredibly at peace and happy, she had deeply missed this feeling of being part of a family and the loving welcome she had received and the love and respect her mate had shown her made her heart swell. She spent the night happily dancing with pack members including the pups and even to the shock of everyone Mable who was in a happy cheerful mood and smiled all night - something the pack members can't remember ever seeing. As the lively music from the jig Isabelle was dancing too with a warrior came to an end the warrior spun Isabelle one last time and she lost her balance and bumped into a wall, a wall that as she looked up was actually a solid chest thick with well formed muscles and happened to be her mates chest.
Isabelle smiled at him as slow music began to play " May I have this dance" Jake asked as he bowed and reached out his hand and Isabelle still too breathless from the jig nodded her response and took his hand allowing him to lead her to the middle of the floor. "I haven't seen you all night since Mable ran on stage squealing with delight after my speech and whisked you off to introduce you to everyone." Jake said slightly amused still at the memory of the old she-wolf pushing pack members out the way to hobble her way onto the stage and squeeze his mate in an embrace and squeal her delight in high pitched screams into Isabelle's ear. " I know Mable has kept me busy, I have met all 876 pack members and I think I managed to learn about 600 of their names." Isabelle replied with a smile as Jake wrapped an arm around Isabelle's waist and twirled them with the music. " 600 that's impressive in such a short space of time but then everything about you love is impressive to me." Jake kissed her lovingly on the cheek and looked into her eyes to show her the sincerity of his words.
"Jake...I never got a chance to say how honoured I am by you making me a co-Alpha I didn't even know such a thing could actually be done although my father always joked I was to strong to be ruled by anyone even my mate and I would need to be a Alpha too." Isabelle smiled and giggled at the memory. " Your father was a smart man then, I would never dream of trying to rule you Isabelle I know you have had your independence taken from you for most of your life and I would never do that again, I hope we can rule this pack as equals who not only love each other but respect each other too and vow to always remain loyal to each other. I didn't just make you co-Alpha because I love you I did it because I truly see great potential in you and belief you will be a great Alpha and myself and the pack are so lucky to have you." Isabelle stepped backwards slightly from his warm embrace to look at him directly in the eyes " Jake, I honestly don't know what to say. My life before meeting you.... I never dreamed I could ever be happy again now within a day my life has completely changed all thanks too you, you truly are my soul mate Jake you are kind, loving and respectful and you accept me for who I am I couldn't ask the Moon Goddess for a better mate, I love you Jake." Isabelle couldn't help tears of happiness slipping from her eyes before a yawn escaped her. " I love you too Isabelle but it looks like the events of today are finally catching up with you, would you allow me to escort you to your room" Isabelle nodded and reached for Jake's hand as she led him towards the stairs the small number of pack members who were still up enjoying the feast bowed respectfully at them as they passed bidding them goodnight and Isabelle couldn't help but blush at what they must be thinking.
When they had reached the Alpha or Alpha's now floor and were stood outside Isabelle's door Jake bent down to kiss her respectfully on the cheek " Good night Love. I will come and get you in the morning to escort you down to breakfast then we can go to the mall to buy you some clothing and other essential items. When we get back we will have a meeting with our pack Beta and Delta and plan together your schedule for warrior training and training for learning your Alpha responsibilities. We will also need to write that letter to the king and if you are up to it tell Carl and Owen your story so they know what we are facing and can help plan how best to defend the pack and our plan for finding the Rogue Alpha" Isabelle nodded approvingly but looked slightly scared " I understand the importance of Carl and Owen knowing about my story and the threat of the Rogue Alpha but... can you please tell them when I am not in the room, I just.... explaining what he did to me...it's too hard and it makes me feel ashamed I can't do it please Jake." Isabelle tried her best but a stray tear slipped down her face. Jake Lovingly wiped away her tear " Isabelle you have nothing to be ashamed about, what he did the shame is his to bear for treating you that way, for you to survive through that torture it just proves how strong and brave you are you are a strong survivor and you should never be ashamed you did nothing wrong." Jake pulled her into a comforting embrace and stroked her back in calming circles allowing Isabelle to cry silently for a few moments before she pulled away and kissed him on the cheek and whispered good night but as Jake smiled and turned to leave Isabelle suddenly remembered something and reached out to stop him " Jake... my dress it's corseted at the back would you mind helping me undo it please" Isabelle asked blushing slightly.
" Of course I can but I can also ask Mable to come and assist you if you would be more comfortable..."
"No, it's ok I know you're trying to...be sensitive towards me because of my...past experiences but like I said earlier you are not him Jake, when you touch me or kiss me I don't mind it at all... it feels right." Isabelle smiled at him shyly before reaching for his hand and leading him inside her room. Jake gulped and his inner wolf growled in pleasure at his mates words, he felt his passion beginning to stir and threatening to take over so he took a deep breath and reminded himself to take things slow with Isabelle. Jake tentatively reached out and began with shaking hands to undo her corset strings slowly revealing more and more of her perfect smooth porcelain skin, his breathing became heavy and his eyes were filled with lust by the time he had finished but he manage to resist the temptation to rip the dress off her and cover every inch of her body with loving passionate kisses no thanks to his wolf who was pushing against his restraint. " There..." Jake managed to say in a passion filled whisper.
Isabelle turned slowly holding the dress up to cover her cleavage that threatened to spill out now the confinements of the dresses corset was undone, she looked into Jake's passion filled gaze and with her other hand she reached out to stroke his face. Jake leaning into her gentle caress and a groan of pleasure slipped from his lips not knowing how much longer he could restraint himself he grabbed Isabelle and kissed her passionately letting his town explore her mouth freely the way he wished it could explore her curvy body. Isabelle let out a loud moan of pleasure and clung to him desperately wanting to be closer, hearing her moan Jake groaned and abruptly stopped their kiss before either one could get too carried away." Moon Goddess Isabelle you have no idea how strongly you stir my passion but I want our first time to be special you deserve that after...and I want to show you I respect you and desire you for other reasons too not just your body or beauty, soon I promise but for now my love sleep tight." Jake quickly kissed her on the cheek and practically ran out the room before his wolf took over or he changed his mind and Isabelle stood touching her lips smiling at how lucky she was to have a mate that made her feel so loved and respected. Isabelle and Jake both went to bed that night dreaming of each other.
Jake knocked on Isabelle's door and stood outside waiting permission to enter as pleasant images from his dream last night filled his mind. After 10 minutes of waiting with no reply he knocked again and after not receiving a reply he cautiously entered her room. Isabelle was lying in the queen sized bed spread out taking up more room than a she-wolf of her size could ever need, her hair was following around her in a frizzy mess and she was snoring open mouthed with drool falling from her opened mouth. Jake chuckled but even in her sleep induced dishevelled state she was still the most beautiful she-wolf he had ever seen. Deciding to allow her to rest more Jake penned a quick note for Isabelle leaving it on her dressing table then sneaked back out her room and went to his office summoning Carl and Owen deciding to carry out Isabelle's wishes and inform them about Isabelle past on his own getting it over with now so Isabelle and him could spend the whole day together.
"Come in" Jake responded to Owen's knock on the door, he knew it was Owen's knock because Carl didn't bother with such formalities and just barged in. "Oh how disappointing when you summoned us to the Alphas office I hoped we would be meeting with the easy on the eyes Alpha, where is Mr's Alpha this morning " Carl said as she waltzed into the office leisurely sitting on a chair and Owen bowed respectfully before following. " Mr's Alpha is sleeping still yesterday was quite a busy day for her, I decided to let her rest and with her permission I called you here to discuss some serious matters starting with what brought Isabelle here..." Jake's expression changed to a serious one and he told them Isabelle's whole story. " Wow she is so strong I don't know if any one else could of gone through that and survived." Carl said looking at Jake sympathetically " that bastard How could he treat any one like that never mind a defenceless she-wolf!" Owen slammed his hand down on the desk with such force the desk shook. " Easy Owen, I know you feel strongly about protecting she-wolfs after what happened to your sister but Isabelle will be ok I promise and we will help her get justice, I plan on writing to the king to update him next and we will make a training plan to continue Isabelle's warrior training and she will be strong enough once we have trained her to take on the Rogue Alpha and get justice." Jake came round to stand in front of Owen and looked him in the eye to give him his word. Jake was afraid this would be a trigger for Owen who being five years younger than Jake had become like Jake's little brother when they found him alone in the woods one winter aged 10 covered in the blood of his mother and sister who had been raped and murdered by Rogues.
Jake's promise to help Isabelle calmed Owen a little and he nodded at him before asking " so what happens next"
" I am going to write to the king to update him on the situation, you and Carl can start drafting Isabelle's training routine remember although she hasn't matured yet she has twin and Alpha power and is already a skilled fighter so make her training advanced, we will need to increase the packs patrols and keep vigilant for an attack the eastern patrol pack mind-linked me last night to inform me they killed the remaining Rogues that were hunting Isabelle on our lands and they kept one alive for questioning as ordered. He is currently in the dungeons you will question him tonight Carl and I will get your report tomorrow morning and we will meet tomorrow afternoon to form a plan. I left him in the dungeons last night as Isabelle as you now know has missed out on some much in live I didn't want her first night with her new pack to be tarnished too and yesterday was a hectic day for her as well after all those years she is finally free and I want to encourage her to enjoy her freedom and help make her feel safe so today after I write the letter to the king I am taking Isabelle out letting her experience the normal things in life that bastard took from her tomorrow we will start planning to take the Rogue Alpha down but today is about Isabelle."
" Sounds like a good plan Owen and I will get right on to planning her training and I will have the interrogation report ready as requested for tomorrow." Carl nodded.
" You're right after everything shes been through she deserves a bit of normality and to enjoy the courtship of her mate with out it being tarnished, go and enjoy your day we will take care of the pack and we will meet tomorrow."
" Thanks for understanding Owen, don't worry I know its upsetting but Isabelle is tough she will be fine I promise she is part of our pack now and we will protect her." Jake said in his Alpha voice filling Owen with confidence. Carl and Owen both bowed and left to carry out Jake's orders and Jake spent the rest of the morning dealing with pack business and writing the letter to the king.
After he had written his letter to the king and sent it he mind-linked the cooks to send up breakfast to Isabelle and started to plan the perfect date for her. As he was planning the date his mind drifted back to the conversation he had with Owen earlier, Isabelle was part of the pack now and his mate she deserved a life full of love and happiness and he would give her one and he would never let her be scared or mistreated ever again and always protect her from danger he vowed to himself again not knowing how soon his vow would be tested or how close danger lurked.
