RECOGNISING HER PLACE
Isabelle landed on the couch face down with a soft thud.
She took a minute to compose her anger and reign in her murderous impulses. She had to act smartly for Mikey's sake and lull the Rogue Alpha into a false sense of security to ensure Mikey could get away safely. She sat up after she was sure the murderous expression had left her eyes and sat gracefully on the couch and just to throw the Rogue Alpha off balance she smiled at him as sweetly as she could manage.
The Rogue Alpha looked down at her briefly in shock at her warm smile. His expression quickly changed to amusement as he thought he could see threw her false smile and assumed she wanted something.
"What a pretty smile my love, what is it you are trying to soften up to ask for"He asked directly.
Isabelle tried her best to look guilty and caught out. " Oh dear, am I that obvious" she whispered in a fake demure voice and downcast her eyes submissively making the Rogue Alpha smile this time genuinely believing her demure act and pleased at her submissiveness.
"Yes, you my love are a terrible actress I know you too well I practically raised you remember.” He chuckled cruelly trying to provoke a reaction.
Isabelle bit her lip to stop a sarcastic reply of " Well of course I remember that was really kind of you to take in an orphaned pup.... even if you were the cause of pup being an orphan in the first place." from slipping out and tried her best to force a submissive and shy expression onto her face.
" You do know me well, in fact you know me better than anyone. I was so stupid to think I could try and charm you into listening to my request." Isabelle looked at him with her mesmerizing emerald eyes sparkling with fake tears hoping to appeal to his vanity.
"Yes I do pet don't I Since I am in a good mood I will hear your request." The Rogue Alpha said his vanity getting the better of him.
"Please... Alpha can I see the pup He must be so frightened of your overwhelming power and I have a....maternal instinct to take care of him. It would be a great relief for me to know he is okay and with your permission be permitted to spend an hour or so with him to comfort him before we enjoy the evening together.... it would mean I could give you my full attention." Isabelle forced herself to whisper seductively.
Isabelle's praise of his strength appealed to the Rogue Alpha's vanity and he arrogantly smiled at her believing himself truly irresistible. " I knew you were a smart wolf and would submit to me eventually. It's your natural feminine instincts to submit to me as a powerful Alpha male and seek to please me to earn my protection and love." He reached out to lovingly stroke her cheek " But don't worry pet as long as you know your natural place you will always have my protection and love. "
Isabelle smiled at him this time a genuine smile as in her head she replied to his sexist declaration " Oh don't worry I know my place jack ass as it's as your better and as for my natural feminine instincts they are telling me to kick you sexist ass...which I will do very soon."
The Rogue Alpha was pleased by her genuine smile it seemed his little mate was finally accepting her position.
"Well I have promised the warriors who joined me on my little recovery mission a reward tonight for their loyalty I guess I could reward you too for finally accepting your place by allowing you and hour with the pup. "Isabelle let out a deep breath she hadn't realised she had been holding in anxiously.
"Oh but don't look so relieved my love, I will reward you for your revelation but tonight I will punish you still for your disloyalty when you ran away. Whether or not you are remorseful I must be fair and punish you for your bad behaviour as equally as I will for your good or how else are you meant to learn hmmm. But don't worry I will give you an opportunity before your punishment to beg for mercy and show me just how sorry you are if you do a good job I will lessen the punishment so it won't hurt...as much." The Rogue Alpha paused and mind-linked someone.
"There, now, I have arranged for the pup to be bought to you soon you will have an hour with him then Damien will take you up to our room and follow my instructions to prepare you for tonight when we will dine together before we enjoy each other’s company as you so sexily put it. Now if you will excuse me my love my warriors are waiting on me to enjoy their reward." Damien entered the room as the Rogue Alpha was leaving and smiled at Isabelle darkly whilst his gaze roamed Isabelle's body lustfully.
Isabelle sat on the far end of the couch from Damien. She knew deep down that he wouldn't touch her... at least not without his Alpha's permission as unlike the majority of the Rogue pack he didn't follow the Rogue Alpha solely out of fear or because of his promise to provide the Rogues riches and spoils of war he followed the Rogue Alpha out of genuine admiration. Damien respected the Rogue Alpha and he was the only werewolf she ever knew of that the Rogue Alpha may have genuine affection for in return. She supposed their bond was almost....brotherly so she knew Damien would not disrespect the Rogue Alpha by touching her- someone the Rogue Alpha and no doubt Damien saw as the Rogue Alpha's property, but his lingeringly gaze still made her feel deeply uncomfortable.
Mikey being shoved viciously into the room and landing on the hard floor hitting his head and crying out in pain broke the uncomfortable tension between Damien and Isabelle and Isabelle ran towards the pup protectively scooping him up to cradle him in her arms as she growled at warrior responsible for Mikes injury using her Alpha tone making him retreat quickly in fear.
"Remember Isabelle if you try anything the Alpha will take it out on the pup...." Damien said cautiously which calmed her wolf instantly.
"Mikey love are you okay Did they hurt you" Isabelle asked as the pup wrapped his arms around her leaning into her protective embrace.
"No Auntie I am okay for now just a little scared are you okay"
"Yes sweetie I am. I promise you everything will be okay and the Rogue Alpha will not harm you he gave me his word."
"Are you sure we can trust him Auntie " Mikey asked making Damien growl at the insult directed towards his Alpha.
"Yes I am sure Mike.... I know he is scary but he has a reputation for always keeping his promises." Even if his promises are usually vows to cause great harm and spread fear she thought to herself but instead replied quickly how he only kept his promises which soothed Mike's fear and Damien's anger at the same time.
Mikey nodded at his her reassured by her words and then his stomach growled loudly and Isabelle took the opportunity provided to start her escape plan.
"Damien, Mike is hungry as am I i haven't eaten since this morning and in all honesty I am feeling rather faint. The Alpha ordered me to eat to...... get my strength up for.... tonight. Could you arrange for food to be brought up now so Mike and I can eat together After all the Alpha did promise me an hour with Mikey and I will hate to disappoint the Alpha by being too weak for his plans tonight. I would ask him directly of course but he mentioned something about he was enjoying a reward with the warriors right now and I wouldn't want to spoil his fun...." she asked sweetly.
Damien thought her request over. It was not unreasonable to allow them to eat together and his Alpha did promise them an hour together he knew his Alpha was currently enjoying the entertainment of torturing a couple of local human girls they had kidnapped from the village and he did not want to interrupt him.... " I don't see why not but I will have to prepare the meal the pack is busy. Stay here if you try anything the pup will die slowly...." he warned before he left.
Knowing this was not the right moment to escape and they did not have much time to plan their escape Isabelle grabbed Mikey and moved quickly.
"Mikey listen to me we don't have much time I have a plan for your escape you need to listen to me very carefully and do exactly what I say okay" Mikey nodded and Isabelle told him her plan.
