THE BATTLE
Damien sped across the field snarling viciously, his eyes blood red.
He was quick, powerful and deadly but Isabelle was quicker, more powerful and deadlier.
As he sprang into the air aiming to jump onto her back Isabelle lunged forward and bite his side as deep as the awkward angle would allow before throwing him across the field.
Damien howled in pain as her sharp jaws sunk into him not deep enough to be fatal but enough to injure him and draw blood he was then flung six meters in the air before he landed with a painful thud.
The Rogues growled at Isabelle and she turned and growled in return, only her growl unlike their's radiated Alpha strength and instantly quietened the Rogue pack. With the Rogues reminded of their place Isabelle turned and refocused her attentions on Damien who was beginning get up.
Damien was frightened but refused to admit defeat. He had no idea she was such powerful. He was hoping her defeat of his Alpha was either a fluke and she wasn't actually that strong or it would have tired her enough to make her weak, regrettably none of them had happened. Despite his fear and her obvious strength Damien stood and held his head up with pride, refusing to show any signs of weakness.
He knew deep down he would most likely die in their battle but he vowed he would do so only after weakening her enough so the Rogues could team up and finish her off killing her also and revenging his and their Alpha's deaths. Damien subtly glanced at the traitorous trainer and a werewolf in human form who was lying on the ground beside the trainer, who he assumed was the Demon Alpha and he mind linked 10 of the Rogues closes to them his evil plan. With his plan in place, he smirked before the again ran at Isabelle.
Isabelle waited patiently for Damien to attack and when he opened his mouth with the aim of biting her she ducked to her left and over his back taking his ear into her mouth as she did and viciously ripping it clean off with one bite, making him howl in pain and collapse onto the ground.
Isabelle spat out his ear and placed her large paw onto his exposed stomach holding him firmly in place. She stood over him as he howled in pain and looked at her with a venomous glare. As she was about to go in for the killing blow when movement in the corner of her eye caught her attention, Rogues moving threateningly toward the trainer and her mate and in a panic she momentarily lifted her paw giving Damien the opportunity he had planned and he lunged at her exposed throat.
Isabelle saw Damien move and had just enough time to move, not far enough to avoid his attack but enough so his sharp teeth sunk in deep into her shoulder rather than their lethal target of her neck. She managed to shake Damien off and scared for her mates and trainers safety her instincts took over and as Damien released his grip and she fell sideways she raked her razor-sharp claws deep into his side and she cut him open as she fell.
Damien was spilt open from shoulder to tail in a jagged cut that started from his top shoulder curving under his stomach and down to his tail. Blood oozed out staining the green grass red and he fell down dead on the ground as his red eyes starred at Isabelle void of emotion and life.
Her shoulder hurt badly but she tried to ignore the pain and looked over at her mate and trainer. She was relieved to see the ground was littered with the Rogues who tried to attack them bodies and the trainer stood unharmed in wolf form hovering over Jake protectively.
Her relief was short-lived however as the Rogues at the far end of the field growled and snarled aggressively in response to their Beta's death.
Isabelle had enough her mate was in desperate need of medical attention and her battle with Damien had taken up to much time. Frustrated and angry she faced the Rogue's and growled out the most vicious deep growl in her Alpha tone she could muster.
Silence filled the air and the Rogue's starred at her in fear, shock and awe. She growled again to get her message across and after overcoming their shock the large majority of Rogues retreated into the woods leaving 80 defiant Rogues left who despite their fear were determined to seek revenge for the death of their Alpha and Beta.
Isabelle was thankful the majority had retreated and she just hoped she and the trainer were strong enough to take out the rest. She growled one last time and although they didn't retreat despite her Alpha tone the ones that were slowly stalking forward jumped back a little in fright and they all froze temporarily with fear giving Isabelle just enough time to double back and run to her trainer and to take a defensive stance beside him braced for the attack.
The first row of twenty ran towards them aiming to test their strength phasing into wolfs as they did so, the trainer took on half as did Isabelle and they defeated them quickly, the trainer with a few minor injures and Isabelle with none.
The Rogues took in the sight in front of them.
Scattered across the now bloodied grass lay heads detached from bodies and limbs detached from shredded corpses the sight was truly horrific even for their sick and twisted fetish for inflicting death on helpless victims. The Rogues mind linked each other their plan of attack- still desperate for revenge but realising they would have to be smart to achieve it. The Rogues after a few minutes of plotting had agreed to send the next two lines of warriors forward to attack in a group of forty then when the trainer and Isabelle were weakened from exhaustion the warrior who had survived could retreat and the last twenty would attack hopefully with success due to them being weakened. With the plan now agreed they stood in silence and at still for a few minutes hoping to make Isabelle and the trainer nervous before the first two lines of warriors ran towards them phasing as they did.
Isabelle tried to mind-link the trainer to make sure he knew they planned by the look of it to attack in waves but as he was not sworn into the Blood Fang pack she was unable to do that, so she looked at him instead of trying to read his body language to see if he knew. Mike could see in her eyes what she was trying to communicate and nodded his large wolf heads howling gently to portray he understood her message and he was ready, and not long after he did so the first twenty wolfs lunged at them in attack.
Although tired by her fight with the Rogue Alpha, Damien and the previous Rogues Isabelle managed to fight off her share of the first twenty with minimal injures but by the end she was feeling a lot weaker as was the trainer. The next twenty didn't give them any time to recuperate and attacked next.
The first ten lunged, snarled and clawed at Isabelle and the trainer and Isabelle managed to fight off 5 without injure but exhausted and the trainer managed to fight off three before the trainer weak from his injures from torture still and now exhausted fell unconscious on the floor next to Jake.
Isabelle was so exhausted but knew she had to continue and hold them off as long as possible praying that some of the Rogues who retreated ran into the path of the Blood Fang gang as they did so who she hoped Jake had taken with him and that they would know something was wrong and come to their aid.
Isabelle had just finished killing the fifth warrior when she saw Mike fall to the ground and she lunged at the three who encircled him and Jake and killed them before her legs started to wobble with exhaustion.
The next ten seeing her weaken launched into an attack and Isabelle fought them off although she reflects were a lot slower and her strength was slowly slipping away the last of them finally fell but not before successfully clawing at her stomach injuring her and making her collapse as well. She tried desperately to get up but couldn't as she starred at the last twenty Rogues in the horizon and as they started to charge she climbed on top of Jake and the trainer covering as much as them as possible and vowing to protect them for as long as possible.
When Isabelle began to lose all hope as the Rogues descended an eerie silence surrounded them and fog filled the air as on the horizon behind the Rogues figures started to emerge.
As the thick fog disappeared Isabelle gasped. With her superior Alpha and twin eyesight even in her weak state she could see the glorious sight in front of her in every fine detail.
On at the entrance to the forest stood the army of the Blood Fang Alpha battalion with Carl at the centre smiling smugly and although the sight of the friendly and familiar faces lifted her spirits and gave her hope, it was the Royal army or more specifically the Queen and warriors in the centre of it that captured her gaze.
The King stood directly in the centre, he was very handsome and strong and although unquestionably magnificent looking it was the Queen herself that held her gaze and captured Isabelle's interest.
She was so beautiful just as the rumours described her to be that she could have been created by the Moon Goddesses own godly hands. She was very tall towering over the warriors that surrounded her and were equal in height to that of the King. Isabelle could see she had a perfect hourglass shape and an angelic-looking face. Her skin was snowy white and her lips full and naturally a deep blood red just like Isabelle's, her eyes were framed by thick heavy black lashes that made their unusual violet colouring all the more striking. Her raven black waist-length hair hung in silky cascades over her shoulder and the aura of power and dominance that emanated around her was a complete contrast to her angelic face and made her all the more captivating.
The five warriors who stood around her and the handsome and powerful king also caught Isabelle's interest it was clear by the gold silk clothing they wore and the power they emanated that was equal to a normal pack Alpha that they were the King's and Queens personal guard and they looked to be deadly and well-trained warriors.
Isabelle could smell the Rogues fear at seeing the strong army on the edge of the forest entrance knowing there time was soon up and inspired by the force of strength the army displayed particularly that of the King, Queen and their five bodyguards Isabelle steadily got to her feet and positioned herself in front of Jake and the trainer ready to protect them with the last of her energy whilst the Royals, the Royal army and Blood Fang pack finished off the Rogues.
" Shall we my Queen? " King Soreen asked holding out his hand.
" We shall my love. " The Queen replied in a sweet honeyed voice that was such a contrast to her strength, as she placed her hand in the King's and the King raised it to his lips and kissed it affectionately.
" Blood Fang pack and Royal army you wait here, we will dispose of the filth quickly and then we will journey to the Midnight Moon Pack that neighbours these lands to the east to seek medical attention for the Blood Fang Alpha's and their friend. Guards come with us." The King commanded and all but the Queen his equal bowed before the King led his Queen towards the Rogues and their guards followed closely ready for battle.
