SECOND CHANCE MATES
Isabelle and Jake had reached the floor that the Trainers room was on and as they walked along the corridor holding hands and smiling at each other lovingly they were suddenly startled by a loud growl and an almighty bang coming from the trainer's room.
Fearing the worst Isabelle and Jake sprinted down the hallway and burst open the door, the sight before them however soon had them in hysterical giggles.
" Untie me you daft old woman!! " The trainer growled as he lay on the floor tied to his upturned bed that he had knocked over with his excessive struggling.
" DAFT! ME! I am not the one who's to dam stubborn to follow doctor orders, the doctor said to stay in bed and that's where you'll bloody well stay! I warned you what would happen if I caught you trying to sneak out the bed one more time.... you should of listened! You DAFT OLD MAN! " Mable responded with a growl and an intimating stare and her stare was so intimidating it made Mike gulp.
The argument between the trainer and Mable was interrupted by Jake's loud laughter and Isabelle's poor attempt to stifle her own laughter. " What's going on here? " Isabelle finally managed to say between fits of giggles as Jake managed to finally control his own and walked into the room to flip the trainer's bed with the trainer zip-tied to it the right way up.
" The stubborn man wouldn't listen to the doctor's orders to stay in bed and rest, he kept insisting on getting up to see you. The doctor said I was vital he rested at least until tomorrow so he could recover and it's my job to look after him so I warned him I would tie him down if I had too but he didn't listen." Mable explained scowling at him and making him gulp again, despite seeing many horrors in his life and meeting many powerful enemies none had managed to intimidate him as much as Mable did not even the Rogue Alpha- she was truly a frightening but remarkable woman he thought.
" Well that was very good of you to take your assigned duty of care so seriously Mable, but I think holding him hostage is a little too far." Jake managed to say as seriously as he could trying to keep the amusement from his voice and he went to undo the zip ties.
" Don't you dare Jake Nathaniel Jackson! They stay on until the stubborn man promises to follow the doctor's orders, it's for his own good! " Mable growled as she slapped his hands away from the zip ties
" Mable, whilst I think the fact that you are carrying out your assigned duty so.... thoroughly and are trying to look out for the trainer who is a complete stranger to you welfare so.... vigorously...... just shows you are very kind and loyal to your Alpha....as you are following his command so rigidly, don't you think you're being a little.... harsh" Isabelle asked as sensitively as she could.
" He is not a stranger to me! " Isabelle and Jake looked at each other in confusion " Mable I don't understand...?" Isabelle asked looking between the trainer and Mable who seemed to have put their arguing to one side and were looking at each other strangely.
"Isabelle, Mable is my second chance mate." The trainer smiled as he looked proudly at the strong, fierce, bossy and in his eyes beautiful she-wolf he claimed as his making Mable blush slightly.
" Second chance... mates" Jake asked gobsmacked and Isabelle squeaked in excitement.
" Oh this is perfect you two are just perfect together, both so strong and fierce but beneath all your bluster you both have huge hearts and are the most amazing people I know. Oh, and your both wonderful warriors...and have tonnes of knowledge to pass down to younger generations you both will be wonderful grandparents to Jake and I's pups!! " Isabelle squealed as she ran from the doorway into the room and grabbed Mable into a tight hug and then hugged the trainer who was still tied to the bed awkwardly. " Congratulations! " Isabelle said with joy.
" Thank you. " Both the trainer and Mable said at the same time.
" Alpha Jake and Isabelle there was something I wanted to ask you both. "The trainer asked nervously.
" Go on please. " Jake said as he pulled out the chair at the side of the trainers bed opposite where Mable was sitting for Isabelle to sit down also.
" Mable and I have discussed it and now that the Rogue Alpha has gone and is no longer a threat since I have no family or a pack to go to Mable has asked that I move in with her and I would like to with your blessings join your pack and accept her request... after I petition the King for a pardon of course."
Jake smiled at Isabelle signalling he would let her reply for both of them.
" Trainer, Jake and I had a conversation just before we came to see you and Jake told me that all members of the Blood Fang pack will return home tomorrow... including you since you are like family to me you are already a member. Now you have a mate within the pack that just makes the Blood Fang pack even more of a family to you now but you were always welcome. " Isabelle reached out to hold the trainer's cable-tied hand and tears of joy started to slip from his eyes.
" Thank you, Alpha. " The trainer finally replied once he was able to control his emotions.
" And as for petitioning the King for a pardon.... Jake? " Isabelle asked unsure
" There will be no need for that, Soreen is a fair man and I had a quick word with him last night after the doctors patched me up. I told him the information Isabelle had shared with me about the reason you joined with him.... to protect your daughter and the reason you were a Rogue in the first place and of course that Isabelle vouched for you saying you were a man of honour and had no idea of the wicked deeds the Rogues would carry out once you trained them; Soreen recognises your motives were not malicious ones and he trusts that if Isabelle says you are a man of honour then you are so no charges will be bought against you.... However, you will need to serve one year service as the Kings Royal trainer and agree to train the Kings army and you will need to swear a blood oath both to the King himself and the Blood Fang Pack. " Jake informed him and Mable grabbed the trainer and kissed him passionately on the lips in excitement making Isabelle giggle and Jake roll his eyes banter-fully as he said." honestly you are like a pair of horny teenagers."
" That is wonderful news thank you Alpha! " Mable screamed happily as she grabbed Jake next and kissed him in a motherly manner on the cheek and id the same to Isabelle.
" It is indeed wonderful news Alpha's thank you both. I vow to service both you and the King well and live up to the honourable reputation Isabelle has said I behold, may I ask when the one year service begins? " The trainer asked feeling a little sad that he would have to be separated from his newfound mate for a while.
" I am not sure Trainer, I assume the King will tell us tonight after his planned celebration when he wants his council to meet again and I assume the King will request you journey with me to the Royal city when I go for the meeting and your service will begin then. But don't worry I know what you're thinking and the King would never separate a mated couple if one half is living in the Royal City for a prolonged period he will allow Mable to journey with us and house you both in a cottage suitable for a couple. "The trainer tried to sit up and kiss Mable when hearing the wonderful news but was stopped by his ties and growled in a huff.
" Thank you Alpha that's wonderful news and I shall look forward to journeying with you both to the Blood Fang lands tomorrow... that's if my mate ever unties me! " Mable rolled her eyes at him and Jake and Isabelle held in a giggle.
" I will do so if you promise to stay in bed and rest.... please." Mable asked forcing herself to soften her voice despite her annoyance.
" Okay fine. I promise to follow the doctor's orders and stay in bed and rest for the rest of the day... there love are you happy now" The trainer asked also forcing himself to soften his voice and Mable nodded as she tore off the numerous cable ties that had his arms pinned to the bed and due to his weakened state had imprisoned the trainer.
" We best leave you two lovers too it... but we will see you tomorrow before we depart. " Jake said and Isabelle nodded in agreement and stood to hug Mable goodbye.
" see you tomorrow trainer. " Jake said as he held out his hand to shake the trainers out of respect.
" Thank you Alpha and please may I ask you call me Mike.... the Rogue Alpha insisted I was called trainer but since I am blessed with a mate again and a pack I would like to enjoy just simply being Mike. "
Jake and Isabelle smiled " Of course Mike see you tomorrow and a quick word of advice... obey Mable she is more intimidating than any enemy I have ever come across in battle... when she wants to be. " Jake chuckled as did the trainer pleased in the knowledge he wasn't the only one who thought so.
Isabelle said her goodbyes to Mike and then she and Jake left them to it and walked to towards the gardens discussing their happiness for the new couple as they walked, placing bets on who would prove to be more stubborn between them and giggling about who would wear the trousers in their relationship.
