Revenge with My Quadruplets

Chapter 27

Ch. 27 / 160 May 08, 2026

Early in the morning the next day, Louise knocked on Emily's door.

"Emily, you asked me to find a nanny for you, and I've found a suitable one," Louise, still full of energy, gave Emily a warm hug and introduced her.

"This is Teresa. I've checked her background already. Everything is fine. I agreed with her that she would work for you for a month as a trial run," Louise explained.

"I'm sure you'll get me the best," Emily said.

Teresa was a middle-aged woman in her forties. She was slightly plump, and the details of her dress suggested that she was a very neat person.

When Chris and Diane woke up and went downstairs, they saw a strange middle-aged woman cooking. They quickly ran down.

"Mommy, who is she?" Chris and Diane asked.

"She is Teresa. She is here to help me take care of you," Emily said gently.

"Hi, Teresa," the two kids weren't shy with strangers and introduced themselves to Teresa.

"You are so cute!" Louise pinched their faces.

"Louise, I'm not a three-year-old anymore. Stop pinching my face," Chris said seriously.

"Yeah, Louise. We're four years old kids now." Diane looked serious as well.

Louise laughed so hard that she fell into Emily's arms. "Emily, your kids are adorable."

After enjoying the delicious breakfast, Emily brought the kids to play in the courtyard.

After receiving a call, Louise left in a hurry.

After Emily had taken the children to lunch and put them to a nap, she saw that Rose had sent her a message.

Emily thought, 'I guess failing to kill me yesterday scared Laura and Rose. They've been putting me off for so long. Yet today they informed me that everything is ready, and I can go to the branch tomorrow.

That's great! Teresa and the kids can get to know each other today, and I don't have to worry about the kids being left unattended tomorrow.'

Emily told Teresa about Chris and Diane's preferences. The two kids weren't picky about food, but neither of them was a fan of carrots.

Chris had a sweet tooth. For the sake of his teeth, Emily forbade him from eating too many candies. He was only allowed to have one every day. Diane was very lively, sometimes even a bit naughty, and she could be a pain in the ass as well. Fortunately, the two kids were sensible and wouldn't cause trouble.

Teresa listened carefully, and occasionally she would write something down.

"Chris and Diane are very cute and polite," Teresa said with a smile. She had been a nanny for many families. Although she had only spent half a day with Emily and the kids, she had already started to like them.

Emily paid Teresa well and was nice to her. Besides, the two kids were easygoing. Teresa was quite satisfied.

"They are a little naughty, but they are reasonable. You just have to be patient with them." Emily also hoped to get along with Teresa. After half a day of observation, she began to know Teresa better.

She was single and had been a nanny for years. She had received positive reviews from almost every employer, and she had been very patient with Chris and Diane.

Emily and Teresa were very satisfied with each other, which was a good start.

"It smells great!" Diane's excited voice rang out. She looked down through the gap between the guardrails. From this angle, she felt that she was taller than Emily, which fascinated her.

"Stupid Diane, this is dangerous." Chris grabbed Diane's clothes and pulled her back. Chris always kept an eye on Diane. Perhaps it was because she was naughtier than him. Compared with Emily, Chris was more like Diane's guardian.

Diane was used to it. After Chris pulled her back, she ran down the stairs.

"Mommy, what are you cooking?" Diane was starving, and she felt she could eat all the delicious food in the world.

"Tarts will be ready soon. Go and wait at the dining table, OK?" Teresa was full of smiles.

Diane and Chris held Emily's hands and sat down at the dining table. Diane shook her legs anxiously, and Chris couldn't help but peek into the kitchen. He thought, 'We have tarts today!' He couldn't help but sniff. It smelled delicious.

When Teresa brought the tarts over, Diane clapped happily. The kids were well-raised, and they didn't scramble.

When the tarts were served, Chris and Diane each grabbed one for Emily and then another for Teresa before they began to eat.

"Thank you, Teresa," Diane said with a smile as Teresa served her apple juice.

Emily invited Teresa to sit down and eat with them. Teresa was a little reserved at first, but Diane and Chris made her relaxed, and she enjoyed the family's atmosphere.

"Teresa, the tarts you made are wonderful!" Chris' mouth was stuffed. He looked like a squirrel.

"Do you prefer Teresa's cooking or mine?" Emily deliberately teased Chris and Diane.

"Both. Teresa cooks almost as good as Mommy." Diane gestured at a very small distance with her fingers, indicating that Teresa did a great job.

Looking at the kids' cute smiling faces, Teresa wished that Emily would be her employer for a long time.

In the evening, Emily and the kids had a small welcome party for Teresa, which brought Teresa to tears.

Diane coaxed Teresa with the words Emily usually used on her. Teresa was amused, and Diane giggled.

Chris placed some tissue beside Teresa and shook his head at the giggling Diane.

In the end, Emily and Teresa carried the kids upstairs to sleep and called it a day.

The next day, Emily came to the branch office at the address Rose had given her.

Emily rolled her eyes as she looked at the empty office and her cube. She thought, 'I knew it. I knew Laura and Rose wouldn't let me in so easily. This is so them. They are so disgusting.'

Emily started to clean up. Since there was no information left, she was determined to start over. She had looked up the information about the branch. The branch had not been doing well, and without the Hopkinson Group's subsidies, the branch would not have been able to survive at all.

Having such a thought in mind, Emily had a bad feeling. Laura and Rose weren't done with her.

Her bad hunch proved to be correct. As soon as Emily tidied up her cube, a group of people barged in. Her uneasiness was reasonable.

"Who are you?" Emily asked as she looked at the crowd.

Many people barged in. The office wasn't big, and now it was packed. Some of them were standing at the door since they couldn't get in. At such a scene, some might have been frightened already. Yet Emily's expression was calm, since she knew that if she appeared to be a coward, they would look down on her, and no one would listen to any word coming from her mouth.

People were still talking, and Emily couldn't make out what they were saying. She picked up the glass on the desk and slammed it to the floor.

The noise of the crowd was drowned out by the crisp shattering sound, and they stopped.

"Alright, gentlemen. Will you be quiet now?" Emily's piercing eyes scanned the crowd.
