Revenge with My Quadruplets

Chapter 18

Ch. 18 / 160 May 08, 2026

In the past few days, Derek had never contacted Rose. Rose had also been quiet for a few days. Every day, she would send text messages to ask him where he was and what he was doing and even remind him to rest. Rose was taking the opportunity to learn about his schedule to see if he was seeing other women.

However, Rose did not remember his reminder at all. She didn't ask about Aaron and Ian at all, as if they were not her children.

After he learned about Rose's true colors, Derek would never sleep with a random woman again, including Rose.

Ever since he smelled the fragrance from Emily that day, he had some doubts. Besides, he saw the reactions of Aaron and Ian. Derek felt that he should learn more about Emily.

After Derek hung up the phone, Rose kept calling him. Derek got impatient and switched off the phone.

Even if Rose wanted to tell him something important, she shouldn't disturb Aaron from a sound sleep.

Ian had been looking at Aaron. Although they had not seen each other for only one night, Ian seemed really worried. Derek touched Ian's head, hoping he would feel better soon.

Before lunch, the car returned to the Scott's.

Charlie waited at the door. He watched Aaron and Ian grow up. This time, Aaron spent the night at Emily's house. Charlie was also very worried. Ever since Derek brought Ian out to pick Aaron up, Charlie had come to the door many times to wait for them.

"Derek, is Aaron back?" Charlie asked anxiously.

After Derek got out of the car, he nodded to Charlie. "Yes, he is sleeping."

Derek let Ian get out of the car first and then bent down to pick up Aaron.

As soon as Derek touched Aaron, he woke up.

Aaron looked at Derek in confusion. Then he looked around. Aaron seemed to be looking for someone. He did not see Emily. Aaron had a depressed expression on his face.

Derek carried him out. Aaron had just woken up, so he didn't want to move. He rested his head on Derek's shoulder and became the quiet little boy again.

He put Aaron on the sofa. Ian sat beside Aaron excitedly. "Aaron, I miss you so much."

Aaron looked at Ian and pointed at Ian's swollen eyes.

Ian lowered his head in embarrassment. "I haven't slept separately from you before. I'm not used to it," Ian said in a low voice.

Aaron raised his hand and touched Ian's head. He was comforting Ian.

Derek looked at the two children and could not help saying, "May I sleep here tonight?"

"Really, Daddy?" Ian raised his head happily, his eyes glistening with tears.

"Of course, I never go back on my word," Derek said seriously.

He valued promises, not to mention that he was facing Aaron and Ian, who he loved the most.

Aaron turned his head away from Derek.

Derek knew that Aaron did not want to come back. Aaron wanted to stay at Emily's house.

Derek crouched in front of Aaron and looked straight at Aaron. "Aaron, I know you really want to stay with Emily. Next time, if you fall asleep, I'll wait for you to wake up and then bring you back. So, you can say goodbye to Emily, okay?"

Aaron thought for a while and nodded.

At this time, Charlie came over. "Derek, Rose is calling."

Because Derek's phone was off, Rose called the fixed line of the Scott's.

Derek took a deep breath. He walked to the table and picked up the phone.

  "Rose?"

"Derek, why didn't you answer my call? I have something urgent to tell you. Derek, you must help me," Rose said anxiously.

When Ian heard that it was Rose's calling, he did not want to stay in the living room anymore. He jumped off the sofa and went to Derek.

"Daddy, Aaron just came back. I'll take him to change his clothes." Ian tugged on Derek's clothes.

Derek was just about to speak when Rose interrupted him.

"What? You just came back? Where did you guys go?" Rose said warily. She was afraid that Derek was seeing other women, but Rose was more afraid that Derek was getting closer to Emily.

Rose's tone was a little aggressive. Derek frowned when he heard this.

"Rose, we can go wherever we want. Watch your tone before talking to me," Derek said impatiently.

"Did you go to Emily? I am their mother, and we are a family. Aaron, Ian, you can't build a family with Emily. You are mine! Mine!" Rose shouted hysterically.

Her voice came through the phone, and Derek had to keep his ears away from it.

Both Aaron and Ian heard her roar.

However, Ian did not cry. He had long been disappointed in Rose. He had prayed many times that Rose was not his mother. Therefore, in the face of Rose's madness, Ian only pursed his lips and did not speak.

However, Aaron's reaction was completely beyond Derek's expectations.

Aaron raised his head. His tears streamed down. Derek could tell that Aaron was very upset now. He was very fond of Emily, but Rose said he could not make a family with her.

Watching Aaron cry, Ian was shocked. Ian hated Rose even more.

Due to Aaron's condition, he seldom reacted to the outside world. Derek rarely saw him cry, so it made Derek feel more distressed.

Derek clenched the phone in anger. He heard Laura's voice coming from the phone. It seemed that Laura had stopped Rose from cursing and made Rose come back to her senses.

"I'm sorry, Derek. I was being too emotional. I call you because the Hodkinson Group needs you. The company has a virus in its system, and we..." Rose said.

"Rose. You made Aaron cry," Derek said, suppressing his anger.

"I've already apologized, Derek." Rose did not understand why Derek was so persistent about this small problem. "The staff can't deal with the problem. I need your help."

"Your words hurt Aaron. You should apologize to him. You only pay attention to the Hodkinson Group. You don't care about Aaron. Fine, I won't help you this time," said Derek angrily.

After Derek finished speaking, he hung up the phone in anger.

Then he told Charlie, "Block Rose's number. Don't pick up her calls in the future."

In the living room, the nice atmosphere vanished.

"Charlie, we will have lunch half an hour later," Derek reminded Charlie.

Derek sighed. He picked up Aaron and Ian with both arms and took them upstairs.

He already had Aaron and Ian, so he did not want to live with other women. It was bad enough for him to meet a woman like Rose.

Derek did not love Rose. He just did not want Aaron and Ian to grow up without their mother, but Rose failed Derek again and again.

Derek looked at the silent Aaron, worried that Aaron's condition would get worse. Derek could not help pressing his forehead against Aaron's, hoping that Aaron would feel better.
