Revenge with My Quadruplets

Chapter 53

Ch. 53 / 160 May 08, 2026

When Eric returned, he did not find Derek and quickly made a call. After figuring out Derek's whereabouts, Eric packed the food and left.

Emily did not understand why Derek made such a request. They had been getting along well with each other for the past few days. She thought that Derek was a temperamental person.

After dinner, Jayden handed Emily a document.

"What is it?" Emily read the list in confusion.

"I heard that you have offended the Evans family. The companies on this list are not under it, and you can find a suitable partner from the list," Jayden said casually.

After a while, Emily frowned. "How did you get this list?"

Jayden felt a little guilty. Most of the companies on the list were found by Chris. When Chris gave Jayden the document, he said that he did not want Emily to know about what he had done.

"I'm a well-known designer in the fashion industry. It's not difficult to get a list of companies in relevant industries," Jayden said proudly.

"Thank you, Jayden," Emily finally believed Jayden's words.

"It's nothing. We are good friends, aren't we?" Jayden said generously.

Emily became vigilant. She thought that it was a difficult question to answer.

She paused, and Jayden realized that there was something wrong. He narrowed his eyes and wondered, 'Which woman replaced my position in Emily's heart? I have to ask Chris and Diane for it.'

"Sure. I haven't seen you for a while, and you are getting more possessive." Emily glanced at Jayden.

"I was kidding. If you take it seriously, I'll be honored," Jayden smiled.

Emily and Jayden went home after a stroll. Derek's behavior was quite confusing, so Emily called Andy and Jimmy. She confirmed that there was no need to take more photos.

The next day, Emily went to the Scott Group as Derek asked her to.

She was stopped by the receptionist as she was not an employee of the Scott Group.

  "How may I help you?"

"I'm here to see Derek. He asked me to meet him this morning," Emily replied.

  "Do you have an appointment?"

  Emily shook her head.

"I'm sorry. I can't let you go up."

Emily turned around and was about to leave.

  "Stop!" A female voice sounded.

Emily turned around and saw a woman dressed in a suit. Her hair was tied up, and she didn't look like an easy-going person.

"Let me handle it," The woman said to the receptionist.

  "Alright, Jamila," The receptionist said.

Jamila walked to Emily and looked at her with disdain.

"Are you trying to seduce Mr. Scott just because you are pretty? Countless women want to see him every day, yet it's rare to see someone as straightforward as you." Jamila didn't hide the disdain in her words.

Emily said coldly, "It was Derek who asked me to get here this morning. If you don't believe me, you can call him and check it."

"Do you think I'm a fool? If I asked Mr. Scott about it, I will be helping him to remember you. I'm not stupid. Since you know Mr. Scott, why don't you call him?" Jamila asked with disbelief. She had never seen a cheeky woman like Emily.

Emily sneered. She didn't want to come there at all. Wasn't this a ready-made reason to leave?

"Very well. I'll be leaving." Emily didn't try to explain further.

Seeing Emily leave so quickly, Jamila was a little flustered.

"Stop! What do you mean? Are you going to stop Mr. Scott at the entrance?" Jamila thought that she was right as she saw Emily walking toward the door.

  Emily stopped and turned around.

"Come here over here," Emily said.

"Why? Are you trying to hit me? This is the Scott Group," Jamila said arrogantly.

She walked to Emily and wanted to see what Emily was going to do.

"I'm here. Just save it if you want to beg me," Jamila said disdainfully. She had seen many women like Emily.

Emily pulled Jamila and smiled at her. Then, Jamila felt that the building in front of her had turned upside down. Then, she fell to the ground.

"We are outside the Scott Group. It should be fine to beat you up here, right?" Emily asked on purpose.

Jamila curled up in pain and pointed at Emily, unable to speak.

Emily crossed her arms and looked down at Jamila.

Many employees who came to work took pleasure in Jamila's misfortune. It seemed that she wasn't very popular.

Emily was just about to leave when she saw Nick.

"Miss Mermaid," Nick smiled and walked over.

"I have a name." Emily frowned as she looked at Nick. She didn't know what was wrong with him. Couldn't he just call her by her name?

"Emily." Terry bumped into Nick and greeted Emily.

Emily wanted to leave after greeting Terry, but Nick stopped her.

"You want to try the shoulder throw too?" Emily asked.

"No. I need to stay elegant." Nick looked at Jamila who had just gotten up from the ground.

Emily nodded at him and left.

"I told you that something is going on between Derek and Emily," Terry said in a small voice.

"I'm good too. Derek is just a little more powerful and handsome than me," Nick said narcissistically and stroked his hair.

"Did you fall in love with Emily?" Terry asked.

"Nonsense. I love all the pretty girls. But I don't want to be trapped on a single one yet." Nick was shocked.

He and Terry were Derek's good friends and often came to the Scott Group. Everyone knew them, so they went in unimpeded.

Derek was waiting in the office. When he heard footsteps, he opened the door before they knocked.

Outside the office, Terry maintained the posture of knocking. The three of them looked at each other.

"Why are you here?" Derek asked.

"Are you waiting for someone?" Nick asked as he thought of Emily downstairs.

Derek glanced at him and said nothing.

Terry raised an eyebrow at Nick as if saying, 'See? I was right.'

Nick nodded in amusement. Others might not be able to see through Derek's thoughts. However, as his good friends who grew up together with him, Nick and Terry could.

Derek noticed their expressions and said, "What are you doing here?"

"It doesn't matter. Guess who did we run into just now?" Nick said.

"We met Emily downstairs," Terry added.

Derek frowned. 'She has been here before? Why didn't I know?'

"Eric, go check if Emily was here," Derek said.
