“No, you don't look drunk,but you speak like a fool” Anna retorted and continued “You lived in luxury with Adrian in the same mansion and I am locked up here and you shamelessly come here to ask me about him?
Do you think at all or your mind has suddenly become blurry with your intoxicated feelings of love for your new found ex girlfriend that you don't know a thing about your own son again?
Oh! What am I even saying? How can you know about a son you wished was never born? Only now you realise that Adrian is your greatest mistake because you now found Luna and her son, right?
Did I ever force you to make a son with me, did I, no, Richard, I didn't. But you spite my son and sent him into delusional darkness, creating an everlasting void in him,why?
And now, you walked in here, without thinking twice about your question and expected me to know where he is? I haven't seen my son in months and you asked me where he is?
You have failed as a father, Richard. You failed him more than I did. He has no responsible parent he could lean on, he's all alone in this world.
I hate you, Richard, I hate you and I wish that you spend the rest of your life lonely and depressed for what you did to Adrian.
Get out and go to hell, Richard!” Anna screamed out in frustration that she felt a severe pain in her chest, holding it tightly,she saw herself going down and her sight blurry.
Richard got back to the office hours later, he hung his head between his palm, frustration flushed through him and uncertainty loomed in the air.
He had stood there until the doctor said Anna was stable before he left. She had a cardiac failure. She was still in danger but she had been stabilised.
He didn't expect that Adrian would tell his mother those words he uttered. He said it in rage, how can he not love and esteem him more than anything else in this life?
And fingers can only point at Patrick and Luna. It now appeared as if he loves Adrian less simply because he found them and it's nothing like that.
Now, he's searching everywhere to find his son, and he couldn't. At this point, he doesn't know what to believe anymore. Dead or alive, he just wants to know what happened exactly or where he is.
Until that morning, he still checked the Banks. None of them has seen him. Of course the restriction was lifted a long time ago but Adrian didn't go anywhere near his financial organizations again.
He was totally offline. His social media account had not been logged into for a long time and everything seemed as if he'd gone into extinction. His life is in a deep mess at the moment.
Richard wasn't the only one being bothered, Patrick and Luna were also worried sick about Adrian. And the guilt that clouded their hearts worsened the whole feeling.
“I wish this isn't happening to Richard. I know the feeling of losing contact with one's son. I've been there before, it's terrible and this time, Richard's feeling far surpasses what I felt back then…” Luna stuttered.
She didn't live with her son, nor know what he looked like when she was separated from him back then, but Richard's case is different. He knew him since he was born and grew up with him.
How can he suddenly lose contact with that son without the slightest idea of how he's surviving without any fund on him. This is definitely hard on him, and it all still comes back to her.
All these calamities befell the Lesters after she came back. Their family was torn apart. Anna jailed, Adrian missing, Richard confused and the old man of the Lester family, probably lost.
Has her return aimed at ruining the happy family? She didn't want it this way at all. She feels guilty and responsible for what has happened to them.
How can her son ever be free from the guilt his conscience pushes on him since he realised that Adrian was innocent and he was partially the reason for the misunderstanding between him and his father.
Patrick sighed softly when he heard his mother's words. He honestly doesn't know what peace meant before,but now he practically does when he suddenly has lost it.
He hardly sleeps at night. When he closes his eyes, his sleep was scanty and light and he would wake up and wouldn't be able to sleep again for the rest of the night.
He lost appetite for anything and everything. He couldn't eat because he has no idea if Adrian could? What now, is he so upset with him and Aurora and wouldn't care to check on his mother?
He had investigated over and over and there was no record that he came to visit his mother. This sends shivers down his spine the most.
Is Adrian really safe?
“Did you try to find out things from Richard?” Luna asked. She doesn't know Patrick to suspect but she is worried for Richard as much as she was feeling for Adrian.
“He avoids me like a plague. But I perfectly understand why. He wouldn't answer my call and if it was answered,his assistant was going to take my message to him.
And for months now, I don't receive a response or a reply. Twice I have cornered him for lunch,but he bluntly requests that I don't interfere with his life anymore” Patrick replied.
A lone tear rolled down Luna's cheeks. Of course, he doesn't want him to interfere with his life because his presence in his life had made him fall apart with his son.
“I know I caused it, mother, when I told him to stay away from us because he is not my father,” Patrick declared and turned to gaze at his mother when he saw her tear filled eyes.
“You pushed him too hard and now, he'd turned his back on us” Luna stuttered amidst tears. Now, the die is cast, the deed has been done.
Patrick saw his mother's tears and heard her words and he lost words to self defend himself.
