Fated to the Sinful Alpha

CHAPTER 45:

Ch. 45 / 59 Nov 29, 2022

Gabriel paused for a second, while her curious eyes gawked at the closed door. Hearing the door knock, she assumed it might be Zordan again. She frowned her brows when she saw the doorknob was already moving as if someone was in a hurry to enter inside.

With an anticipated glare in her orbs, she scowled while watching the door, “Do you still have something left to say? What do you want n—”

But her words trailed off as she saw a small feminine figure stepping inside the room, instead of the mighty giant, Zordan. Her face turned pale in shock to find the person entering her room was no one other than Lilith, with a cryptic smirk on her face towards her. Moreover, Gabriel was quite familiar with that look on her face…pretending to be innocent but her foxy smile spoke otherwise.

Watching her face turn surly from the sight of her, Lilith quickly made a confused expression as she cordially bowed her head to offer her greeting, “Hello, Lady Gabriel. Looks like you were expecting someone else but I hope I didn’t disappoint you with my arrival. I heard that you had fainted due to exhaustion last night, and regained your senses today. That’s why I couldn’t stop myself from paying you a visit.”

Gabriel quietly heard her mumble with a dubious gaze, standing still a few steps apart from her. No matter how polite Lilith tried to sound, she couldn’t help but pulled an irked smirk towards her as she answered, “Woah! Looks like, you are a bit too much familiar with my whereabouts, Lady Lilith. Are you spying on me or something?”

Lilith was smart to understand the sarcastic taunt that put a solemn look on her. She shook her head in declination and walked a step forward, seeming sincere from her tone, “It’s not like that, Lady Gabriel. I know, no matter what I do or say, you might not be able to trust me. But, I sincerely got worried when I heard such gossip among the court maids, and turns out that it was actually true. Now, I am…very relieved to see you fine.”

“If you are so relieved then…can you please leave? I would like to be alone for now.” Without showing any bother towards her explanation Gabriel flipped her arm with an ice-cold glare towards her as if she was too irked to stand any longer near her.

Her attitude spoke of arrogance which also irked Lilith as she peered a stiff gaze into her. Grimacing her face, she put off a wistful expression and mumbled in a low pitch, “Why…Why do you resent my presence so much, big sister? I was just worried for you…”

“Tsk…Lilith, didn’t we agree earlier not to talk about that topic?” Immediately Gabriel scoffed back at her, making it clear from her tone that she was quite annoyed. She curled her fist and lifted her gaze aside from her, proclaiming aloud, “I just woke up a while ago and my mind still feels exhausted. I need some rest and that’s why I am asking you to leave.

And most importantly, didn’t I warn you earlier not to use such abbreviations? Lilith, it’s been three years already. Stop making such foolish attempts because I do resent your fake acts.” Her snarl was cold and curt.

Taken aback by her rapid response, Lilith paused for a second and gritted her jowls. She realized that Gabriel had already built an ice barrier around herself and it was tough to invade inside, especially when she had already discovered her in bed with her ex-fiance.

But, driven by her strong determination for Zordan, Lilith wasn’t ready to back out easily. While thinking of another way to pursue her, she walked a few steps near her but as soon as she reached her close, immediately her face turned pale in shock with a surreal assumption that hit her.

Reaching close to her, her brown eyes fell upon the beautiful black choker tied around Gabriel’s soft white neck as if it was intentionally tied at that spot to hide something. Cold shivers ran down her spine as she could sense a unique, strong enchanting scent wafting out from Gabriel.

It was completely different from their usual omega scent but it was kind of an alluring scent that triggered her instinct as if especially emitted out by an Alpha! Her jowls gritted in confusion as she realized the scent emitting out of her was indeed similar to that of Zordan which she was familiar with!

While observing her getting closer, Gabriel turned her cold eyes towards her and saw a pale, baffled look prominent on her face as she gazed at her. Taken aback by confusion, she insisted, “W-Why are you looking at me like that? What happened?”

“T-That…choker…” Gulping her saliva, Lilith tried to pull a grip over her tumultuous heart as her gush of emotions was running wild inside her. Several assumptions crowded her mind but she forced a small smile as she asked, “I…never saw that choker on you, Lady Gabriel. That’s very pretty! And…I…I don’t know why…y-you even smell a little different today, that’s unlike your omega scent.”

Hearing her quick observation, Gabriel flinched in awe as she didn’t expect her to accurately spot the difference in such a short time. Getting marked by Zordan without her will was already an embarrassing truth for her which she thought will be hidden beneath the choker. But she didn’t realize it would catch people’s attention, even more, especially inside the castle! Sweat drops gathered on her mind as she gulped, trying to avoid meeting her eyes.

But the moment she saw her avoiding eye contact, her suspicions grew even stroger as Lilith’s face drastically changed her complexion. Frowning her brows, she reached a step closer while gawking her curious eyes on the choker as she murmured, “Lady Gabriel…did you perhaps…get marked by Prince Zordan?”
