Fated to the Sinful Alpha

CHAPTER 41:

Ch. 41 / 59 Nov 29, 2022

Gabriel’s POV:

I could feel a warm ray of sunshine on my face as I began to revive my senses back. I realized it was finally the next morning after the long night. My head was still heavy as I slowly tried to blink open my eyes to gaze around my surrounding. The warm, broad grip of the arm which was holding my hand was also gone, and so was Zordan.

I twitched my numb body and flickered open my eyes, realizing that I was lying down alone in that giant bed. There was no one around me in that room, apart from Zordan’s sweet scent which was present at every corner of his room, reminding me constantly about him.

Holding my heavy head, I tried to sit up on the bed, supporting my back against the cushion. My body was feeling too numb and I knew, it must be the exhaustion from all the eerie events that had shaken up my peaceful life.

I rubbed my eyes as my vision started to clear up, but this time…I sensed a strange uneasiness in my body!

On the right side of the back of my neck, just above the collarbone, my skin was strangely twitching with a faint pain, causing an itchy sensation. It felt as if quite a number of tiny ants were gnawing against my skin which provided me the discomfort. I was confused and my fingers unknowingly twirled to reach the part of my neck skin to find out if I had any skin rash or something.

But the moment I touched the skin, my fingertips froze for a second and my face turned paler. My heart pounded aloud and my mind went blank for a few seconds. After a bit of hesitation, I touched that part again and reached a quick confirmation.

It was a bite mark!

Just by caressing the mark with my fingertip, I could feel it must be a pair of sharp fangs which had dug deeper into my skin! My hands suddenly started to tremble hard with this realization, along with sweat drops that gathered on my forehead.

Did someone mark me when I was unconscious? I…I am a marked omega now?

W-What the fuck? Just who did this to me?

Panic and dismay choked my throat in fear but mustering the minimal amount of strength left in my body, I screamed in a panicked voice, “MAIDS!! S-SOMEONE!! SOMEONE COME OVER HERE!!”

Quickly the old senior maid who was in charge of looking after me rushed into my room and bowed her head nervously, “M-My greetings, Your Royal Highness. Are you feeling better now?”

“Better?” I scorned her in a shaky voice, rolling my eyes in discontent. Swallowing my saliva, I murmured, “B-Bring me a mirror.”

“Huh? Pardon?”

“JUST BRING ME A FUCKIN’ MIRROR, GODDAMNIT!!”

I was almost on the verge of losing my rational senses as I lashed out my frustration at that poor woman. I know it was wrong of me, but my mind was driven to insanity with fear and panic that I couldn’t think of anything else apart from confirming everything with my own eyes.

Just as I thought, the maid panicked and immediately left the room. After a few minutes, she rushed inside with a hand mirror and placed it before me with her nervous hands.

“H-Here…Y-Your Highness?”

My hands trembled violently before I took the mirror from her hand. I still couldn’t muster the courage to confirm my doubt once and for all. As well as my heart was thumping crazily fast. Sweatdrops rolled down the side of my ears as I inhaled a few heavy breaths before looking at myself in the mirror.

“I…I must be wrong. It should be a skin rash…and nothing else…J-Just a skin rash, please…” Like a mad woman, I was mumbling these words to myself as a desperate plea as if it was my last ounce of hope to escape reality.

But indeed, my reality was too cruel, and so was my fate.

The moment I laid my eyes on the mark on my neck, my breathing hitched and it felt as if my heart stopped beating for a second. My whole world shattered right ahead of me, leaving only vague darkness surrounding my eyes.

It was a clear big bite mark.

The skin around my neck had turned reddish and the mark itself had a deep reddish-blue coloration. It looked a little swollen as if it was freshly made and the depth of the wound looked quite severe. The more I gazed at it, the more it was confirmed that now I was no longer a free-spirited omega…but a marked one.

It was a painful feeling as if suddenly I had become a caged bird!

And the evidence was crystal clear regarding who did this to me! Only the bite mark of a true-blood Alpha would give such reddish-blue coloration to an omega’s skin and there was only one pure-blood alpha hovering around me who had messed up my entire life at this point.

Zordan…You bastard!

Tears swelled in my eyes as I clenched the grip of the mirror and smashed it against the ground. The senior maid cowered in fear, watching the glass being shattered into countless pieces, just like my heart. I was sniffling, panting heavily with the flood of mixed emotions gushing in me.

As the whole room reverberated with the loud glass crashing sound, the maid fidgeted her arms and asked me, “Y-Your H-Highness? W-What happened?”

“Why…Just why!!?” The only words I could grumble out of my quivering lips came in a stuttering tone, as my heart didn’t stop throbbing with pain.

At this point, I was too enraged to be able to kill him!
