Fated to the Sinful Alpha

CHAPTER 52:

Ch. 51 / 59 Nov 29, 2022

His agitated curt answer flinched him again as he nervously lowered his gaze down from him. His facial expression transformed into a bit offended, as he mumbled, “I…I am sorry, Your Grace. I should have paid attention—”

“You want to be on my side yet you are still unable to bring me the proper information that I need, Minister Aiden.” Zordan crossed his firm arms over his chest and vented out at him. “Instead of slacking off, you can utilize the time to bring me some useful information! But looks like I have to remind you of your duties. Before my engagement ceremony, find out whom Chief Luther had met on the day of his assassination. I want a proper list.”

“Y-Yes, Your Grace.” Aiden nodded, keeping his solemn expression.

While resuming his walk ahead, Zordan cleared his throat and coldly declared his command, “I don’t need anyone to escort me to father’s chamber. Everyone can leave.”

The command was meant for both Aiden and the guards as they couldn’t defy their alpha. While watching Zordan walking ahead, anger overwhelmed Aiden as he clenched his fist, glaring bitterly at him.

‘That little punk! How dare he addresses me this disrespectfully? If…If only it hadn’t been for my Lilith, I would have never joined hands with this shitty prince! But…as a father, I must consider my daughter’s happiness.

But no matter what happens, I am not letting that bastard Luther’s daughter become the Crown Princess of this kingdom! There is only one royal omega who is fitted to be our next Luna, and that is only my Lilith! I will have to obliterate our hindrance silently as sooner as possible.’

He wondered as his brows furrowed deeper with contemplating thoughts.

….

Zordan knocked on the gigantic copper door of the royal chamber three times before a cold masculine voice asked him to come inside. As he walked in with a stiffened look on his face, as expected, Aldrick was seated in a relatively dark room, resting on a velvet couch. He had an exquisite glass of wine in his one hand and with his other arm, he gestured for Zordan to come inside.

“Father, did you want to see me? Why?” Zordan stood at a measurable distance from him, keeping a stern gaze toward him.

However, witnessing his cold shoulder, Aldrick placed the wine glass back on the wooden table and exhaled a heavy sigh, “Is it wrong for a father to see his son?”

His answer sliced a sarcastic smirk on his face as Zordan argued back, “I am a bit surprised since my father didn’t wish for something like this for several years. Or should I say…this is the first time when you willingly wanted to see me without a political reason?”

His cold smug irked Aldrick a little as he narrowed his glowing dark eyes on him. However, keeping a brief silence, he tapped his hand on the couch as he asked him, “Come here, have a seat. I have something to talk to.”

“Pardon me father, but I am a little tired after conducting a long knight march. I still have some discussions left with our royal knights and it will be wise of you if you straight come to the point.” Zordan once again put his cold barriers in front of him to make the distance between them quite intact.

However, his answer didn’t startle Aldrick since he had expected this coldness from Zordan. He exhaled another heavy sigh and crossed his legs, resting his palm on his knee. “Looks like the preparations for your engagement ceremony have begun in the main castle.”

“Yes, it’s happening tomorrow. Zordan gave a brief response, darting his cold glare.

Aldrick gripped the wine glass in his hand and after taking another sip, he commanded, “Break it.”

“Huh?”

“I said…call off the engagement.” His dark glowing eyes glared at Zordan as he declaimed his command.

“Hah…” Hearing his royal command, Zordan shoved his dark hair bangs above his forehead, bearing a frustrated frown on his face. A vein popped at the side of his neck as he grumbled, “So, I was wrong. This time too you called me here for a political reason.”

“Zordan, I know you must have cold feelings towards me, but as a father and the ruler of this nation, I still can’t accept your rash decision.” Aldrick stood up from the couch and flaunting his royal cape, he walked a step near him, meeting his iced-cold glare. “Marriage is not a joke! And regarding the choice of a Crown Princess as well as our Future Luna, you mustn’t make a thoughtless decision—”

“Who said marrying Gabriel is my thoughtless decision?” Suddenly, his facial expression grew intense with an irked glare focused on Aldrick as Zordan gallantly charged back. “And aren’t you the one who is assuming things on his own, father?”

“Gabriel’s father was murdered a few days ago! She can’t be in her right state of mind! Even though she agreed with your decision, there’s no way she will be able to bear this huge responsibility without giving it proper thought. Moreover, it was just a flick of the moment—”

“Father, I will appreciate it if you stop disregarding Gabriel!”

Overwhelmed by angst and impatience, Zordan cut in between his sentence, peering a stiff glare at him. Like always, his blood boiled in anger whenever he saw anyone disrespecting the precious person in his life, be it his own father, he didn’t think twice before guarding her gallantly. “How can you decide her worth when you didn’t know her properly?”
