Wondering inside his condensed mind, he punched his chest a few more times trying to calm down his crazily thumping heart. Even though Gabriel’s sweet scent had filled the room, especially after he had marked her, Zordan was strongly resisting his urges with his utmost strength.
The darkness of the night was growing deeper while his heavy breathing noises filled the entire room.

Gabriel’s POV:
Damn it! Why is my head feeling so heavy? I can't even open my eyes properly…what the hell is going on?
Am I still not dead yet?
Just when I slowly started to revive my senses back, I tried to blink open my heavy eyelids. Even though the vision before me was completely blurred, yet still I wanted to take a proper glance at my surroundings.
Dizziness was still overwhelming my senses, making my body feel vulnerable. But strangely, I could feel a warm grip of a strong, masculine arm holding onto my hand tight. As if someone was making sure of it, not to leave me alone even when I passed out.
Opening my dazed eyes in that blurred vision, I saw I was lying down on a giant bed, inside a spacious room with a dim blue light glowing on the chandelier above on the ceiling.
I realized it was still night time, but the scent of the room felt strangely familiar too.
Just as I rolled my blurred gaze aside, I saw someone more like a giant familiar man, holding my arm tight. He had fallen asleep resting his head on his muscular arm placed over the bed next to me. Even in that dark lonely room, I was not left alone, the person made sure to stay by my side.
And he was no one other than…Zordan.
Finding him next to me was a pure surprise that left me awestruck. Somewhere deep in my heart, it made me feel a bit bitter as well as relieved that there was still one person left in this world, who knew me so well.
Despite his hostility towards me, he made sure not to leave me all by myself. But I couldn't realize whether I should be thankful for it…or get annoyed with him?
His innocent sleepy face looked even more handsome as I peered my gaze into him.
His angelic smile was the reason which softened my heart and sadly, a part of my heart was still conflicted…how could such a sweet face hide such a scary, sinful darkened look which I saw yesterday?
I faintly tried to unleash my hand from his grip but he seemed even more alert in his sleep! He clutched my hand tighter on his hand and tucked it closer to his sleepy face.
My heart thumped again as I could sense the familiar sweet scent from him that strangely comforted me. For a second, it felt as if he was really afraid to lose me…
But is that so? If he would have been really afraid of that, then he couldn't possibly done such a cruel thing to me in the first place. The trauma and the extreme humiliation that I suffered from everyone in the funeral hall with his sudden announcement of marriage…just by thinking about that made my head feel heavy again..
I wanted to forget it all and just sleep a bit peacefully. As he was holding my hand, it gave me a strange solace even though I knew I must be crazy to still feel relieved around him!
Why is love such a tormenting emotion?
But wait…what's this tingling sensation around my neck? A part of my neck skin stings a little as if I got hurt there.
The strangest part was that I could sense his scent being imprinted on my body. I am too tired to even move my hand but my curiosity was growing up.
Did something happen within this time? Or am I completely losing my mind?
Before I could think of anything else, darkness fogged my vision as I passed out once again.
