Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 382

Ch. 382 / 840 May 06, 2026

Derek's POV

My brows furrowed as I continued to ask, "Which city?"

"Priscilla couldn't remember clearly. Back then, she wandered around from her hometown without any purpose, just following other werewolves and going with the flow. She only said that the city was relatively close to the sea."

"At that time, even the names of various places were constantly changing, and it would probably be impossible to find accurately based solely on such clues."

"It's okay. Take your time to search. I'm already happy to have met Priscilla. It's like a sign from above. Maybe Priscilla will remember more things one day," Tabitha said.

"Tabitha, it is true that there are clues, but you also need to be mentally prepared. Even if Shana, who was served by Priscilla, looks very similar to you, it could just be a coincidence.

"It is normal to find similar people in this world, especially considering it was sixty years ago. There is a possibility that she has no connection to your family."

I didn't want her to have too much hope, only to end up with nothing.

"I understand. Let the doctor come over to treat my hand."

Tabitha touched her wrist and said that no matter what method she used, she would cure her hand and would never let herself be disabled.

Every time I saw her wrist, my self-blame increased a little bit.

"I heard that recently the dosage and treatment have been increased. Can you still handle it?"

"Well, the newly hired doctor is very skilled." Tabitha didn't tell me, but the doctor told me that the daily treatment process was as unbearable as torture.

In order to cure her hand, Tabitha endured the pain.

The days passed by, seemingly calm on the surface, but I knew that Tabitha had completely changed.

I asked her to have a good rest, but she spent a long time in the gym every day.

In just one month, her lower abdomen had already returned to being flat, and she even managed to develop firm abs.

She trained her left hand while her right hand had not yet recovered.

As soon as one month had passed, she immediately asked me to arrange special training for her.

Alvin followed behind me and saw Tabitha practicing women's self-defense in the glass room. She was so slender and could only move one hand for now.

As she was thrown onto the mat by the coach again, my eyebrows furrowed tighter and tighter.

"Alpha Derek, Tabitha had just given birth to children and yet she was assigned such intense training. I was afraid she wouldn't be able to handle it."

"This was what she requested herself."

In the past, she used to spend a long time just doing exercises like sit-ups and lifting weights every day.

Early this morning, she even tied sandbags to her legs and went for a run, seemingly not caring about her health.

I could do nothing to stop her. I had tried my best to persuade her, but Tabitha ignored it all. She just wanted to train. She just wanted to become stronger.

I knew the reason. She didn't want to watch others die for her when she encountered trouble again.

I sincerely hoped that she could have some self-defense ability. Firstly, she could pass the time so that she wouldn't dwell on those sad things. Secondly, she could protect herself instead of doing nothing when any unexpected situations happened.

On the other hand, I also felt that the current intensity was too much. How could Tabitha bear it?

I sighed heavily, holding a cigarette in my mouth. Things had gotten out of hand.

Even though I ate and slept with Tabitha every day, she completely treated me as a roommate.

She looked at me without a trace of love, not even hatred.

It seemed that in this world, besides seeking revenge, she had no other concerns.

Tabitha was like a tireless spinning top. She could stand up immediately and said with determination, "Come again. Don't go easy on me."

"Tabitha, today's goal has been achieved. You should go back and rest." The coach gave up directly.

Seeing that Tabitha was a little dissatisfied, Alvin pushed open the door and said, "Tabitha, we found something."

Tabitha gave up and said, "Okay. Wait for me for a while."

She got up and went to the bathroom to wash up.

I followed her up and watched as she casually threw her training clothes into the dirty laundry basket. She tremblingly extended her right hand. Although the process was difficult, she managed to successfully grasp the cup.

When she successfully grasped the cup, she couldn't control her strength well at that moment and her wrist was trembling.

Yet, Tabitha's lips curved into a rare smile.

The treatment finally worked. She could move her hand!

My wolf sighed in my heart, "Tabitha's resilience is heart-wrenching."
