Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 394

Ch. 394 / 840 May 06, 2026

Tabitha's POV

In no time, I threw him over my shoulder and ran forward without a backward glance.

From behind, I could hear Jamar cursing up a storm. "Asher, you are so weak. Can't you even handle a woman?

"Damn it. You messed up the sure thing.

"Hurry up and chase after her!" Several people quickly set off in my direction.

The guy called Asher suddenly murmured, "Found her."

Upon hearing this, I turned around alertly.

I saw him slowly getting up, watching his buddies rush off with a smirk on his face. Feeling weird, I still turned around and kept running.

I ran as fast as I could, but the jungle terrain was rough and uneven, with the occasional snakes slithering across my path.

The sky was darkening, and sweat drenched my clothes.

The pursuers were closing in, turning our chase into a tense game of cat and mouse.

"Run all you want; let's see where you think you're going today!"

Seeing that I was physically weak, someone seized the opportunity and pounced toward me.

He thought he had caught me, but unexpectedly his chest collided with something hard. Before he could react, a loud bang echoed, and blood splattered.

The sight of Joanna's death flashed through my mind.

It was a fatal shot. No one had expected me to have a weapon.

"Tommy!" Jamar shouted angrily. "Who are you exactly? How did you get a gun?"

If it hadn't been for the dire situation, I wouldn't have used the gun. It went against the rules and risked exposing my identity.

But now I couldn't care less. I raised my arm and aimed it at Jamar. "Get out of here."

This was my first time killing someone, and my heart was racing, even though these people were already sentenced to death for their extreme wickedness.

I thought it would scare them off, but instead, Tommy's death only fueled Jamar's rage. His eyes were blazing with fury.

"Bitch, I will tear you apart today!" I fired off several shots but they weren't just sitting ducks—they dodged quick!

"No more bullets, right? Now it's our turn."

Each of them brandished a dagger, attacking from all sides, making my chances of survival slim.

But I had no escape!

I fought against four opponents but quickly found myself overpowered.

When the blade was about to cut through my arm, a gunshot rang in my ears.

I was stunned—the shooter was none other than Asher.

Jamar paused for a second and then became furious, his eyes filled with suspicion. "Where the hell did you get that gun? Fuck! Your target is that bitch..."

A loud bang was heard.

With a loud bang, Jamar's right shoulder was hit. Asher smirked and said, "I'll give you a chance to rethink your words."

I had already guessed his identity. "Are you one of his people?"

I originally thought that those twins were, but unexpectedly it turned out to be Asher.

Asher shrugged. "Tabitha, Alpha Derek told me to tell you one thing. It's getting dark. It's time to go home."

Our conversation made Jamar momentarily forget his pain. He gritted his teeth and snapped, "What nonsense are you spouting? I don't understand a word."

"A fool like you don't need to understand." Asher pressed his gun against Jamar's forehead. "You have only one thing to do: apologize."

"Fuck you."

"You're so rude. Believe it or not, I will..."

As the two argued, I seized the chance and quickly ran away again.

Asher was speechless. "Look, you idiot. She has escaped again. How am I supposed to explain this?"

"You're a fucking idiot," Jamar retorted.

Asher pointed a gun at them. "Go and bring her back. Don't hurt her. I promise to spare your lives."

Several people scrambled to chase after me, but they soon lost sight of my trail.

I had already hidden myself and could hear them grumbling.

"Damn it. Where the hell did that bitch go?"

Asher wasn't in a hurry, but instead approached the water and pulled out a breathing tube.

His voice was barely audible, just enough to be heard underwater.

"Tabitha, I've caught you. The game is over."
