Derek's POV
Priscilla, who had clearly forgotten who she was, still had these things engraved in her bones.
"Priscilla, just consider this place as your own home. Please go inside first."
Tabitha also came to this house for the first time and casually looked around.
I pointed to the nearby guest room and said, "I have had an Omega tidy it up. Priscilla can stay here for now, living with you every day. Maybe she can remember some things faster."
"Okay."
"Let her settle in first and get used to this place, then I will have someone give her a thorough examination."
"Thank you."
Tabitha's attitude towards me was always lukewarm as if I were the neighbor next door.
I sighed helplessly, knowing that there was no way we could change things for the time being.
"Tabitha, you still need to have a good rest. You haven't fully recovered. Starting today, I will arrange for someone to come and treat your hand. As for John, the medical team will provide round-the-clock care. Don't worry. Nothing will go wrong."
I had taken care of all these things. Tabitha couldn't find a single problem at all.
After a long journey to see Joanna off, Tabitha was also exhausted as she had hardly slept at all last night.
She gave the Omega a few instructions and then went back to her room to rest.
Third person's POV
When Tabitha woke up, it was already dark outside, and Derek was working in the study.
The Omega and Priscilla got along very well, and they even knitted sweaters together.
"Hey, Priscilla, I must say your eyesight is really impressive. You're in your eighties, yet you can knit so well."
"I used to be the best Omega in our wolf pack at knitting sweaters. In the past, I used to make clothes for all the members of the pack. They said I knew the latest trendy patterns.
"Shana was so young and beautiful, and the fabric and patterns of the clothes she wore were the best."
As Priscilla spoke, she had a proud expression on her face.
Tabitha walked up to her and asked, "Priscilla, where did you live with Shana?"
"No. 23, Eastfort Road."
"Where is Eastfort Road? Can you provide more details? What is the real name of Shana?"
Priscilla scratched her head. "I don't remember. I'm old and I can't remember many things anymore.
"I only remember that there was a very big and tall apple tree in our yard. When it was time to harvest, Shana would climb up and pick the apples herself. We would make pies together. Shana loved sweets the most."
"What was her full name?"
"I don't know, but in the past, I followed some rogues through all the hardships and wanderings.
"I was almost starving to death, and when Shana saw my pitiful state, she brought me back with her. At that time, Shana was already pregnant, so I took care of her daily life and meals."
"And what about her husband?"
"Shana never mentioned her husband. I asked her a few times but she didn't tell me. Gradually, I stopped asking. I don't know where she came from. She is the most beautiful, elegant, and spirited girl I have ever seen."
"What happened next? Where did Shana go?"
Priscilla sighed, "That day, I was on my way out to buy Shana's favorite milk candy when rogues suddenly attacked the wolf pack, massacring them.
"Shana and her son disappeared, and all the valuable things from the wolf pack were stolen. I hid in a water barrel to escape the disaster.
"Afterward, I searched for months but still didn't hear any news about her. Maybe she had already... After all, she was so beautiful. No man would let her go."
Priscilla recalled many stories she had with Shana in bits and pieces. However, there wasn't much useful information.
After all, Priscilla didn't understand anything, and Shana was also very mysterious, being alone with her son without the presence of his father. Her background was also unknown.
Tabitha knew she couldn't hurry, so she comforted Priscilla for a few moments before heading to the study.
Derek was busy and overwhelmed by his work when Tabitha told him the latest clue.
"No. 23, Eastfort Road. There is an apple tree in the yard. Can you find this place?"
Derek looked at Tabitha and said earnestly, "I will have someone look into it, but it may take some time. After all, many things have changed over the years."
