Tabitha's POV
I was placed on the operating table, and Derek stood by my side.
He looked at me, who was in utter despair, his face showing a tangled mix of emotions.
"Tabitha, stop with the tears. I told you we'd have more kids later, a ton of them. Both me and our kids will be with you."
"Derek, I have no future anymore. These two children are my only hope!"
I still tried to talk him out of it. "Derek, just wait a little longer. In three months at most, you will know that I didn't lie to you."
"Tabitha, I won't change my mind. Just hang tight. The surgery will be over soon."
Derek seemed unwilling to stay here any longer, probably scared he'd cave.
He turned around, ready to leave. Seeing this, I kept on pleading, "Derek, don't go, trust me! Why can't you just believe what I say?
"Derek, they are your kids. You are killing your heirs!
"You're gonna regret this, I swear!"
With a bang, the door was closed. Along with that closed door, all of my hopes were completely taken away. It shouldn't have been like this. No! My poor babies...
Several nurses and doctors appeared around me. The doctors were wearing masks, their eyes cold as ice, their gaze carrying a hint of disgust.
I heard a nurse whisper.
"Dr. Palmer's family was torn apart by a homewrecker, so she despised immoral women more than anything in her life."
I knew in her eyes, that I was just a woman who broke up someone else's family, so her voice carried no emotion at all.
"Don't waste your energy. That's Alpha Derek's order."
Tears blurred my vision, and my voice had already become hoarse from crying. "I'm begging you. Please let me go. I am truly carrying Derek's children."
Even though the doctor didn't take off the mask, I could imagine the smirk on her lips.
"Do you think Alpha Derek didn't know if he had sex with you or not? Don't kid yourself. Alpha Derek is kind-hearted. If it were me dealing with a flirtatious woman like you who changes partners frequently, I wouldn't be so kind."
With that, Dr. Palmer instructed the nurse beside her, "Go, take off her pants and conduct an examination first to see if there is any inflammation."
"Yes, Doctor Palmer." I stretched my legs, wanting to resist, but unfortunately, there were so many of them, and I lacked the fighting power of one hand.
The nurses quickly grabbed hold of me. "Ms. Hartley, don't struggle. If we hurt you, Alpha Derek will blame us."
"I don't want an abortion. This is murder. I will sue you!"
"Ms. Hartley, Alpha Derek has already signed the document, so you don't need to waste your energy. There is no surveillance camera here, and even if you go to sue us, there is no evidence. Besides, all of this was instructed by Alpha Derek. If you want to blame someone, blame him."
"Blame him?" Dr. Palmer raised an eyebrow, looking disdainful. "I think it's your own fault for not being able to control your own legs. If you didn't spread them to another man, why would you end up on the operating table? I heard you have antibodies against anesthesia, so you might experience pain during the surgery."
The head nurse reminded her in a low voice, "Well, Dr. Palmer, language. She is Alpha Derek's ex-mate."
Dr. Palmer didn't care at all. "Hmph, she's just an unfaithful mistress who betrayed her man. Do you think Alpha Derek really likes her? I'm afraid he would just discard her after the abortion. Look at her delicate and tender skin. She must have slept with many men, right?"
"Dr. Palmer!" The head nurse kept signaling to her.
Dr. Palmer forcefully ripped off the pants I had been holding onto, and the humiliation in her eyes became increasingly evident. "What are you trying to hide in front of us? Haven't you taken off your pants many times in front of men?"
She spoke as she reached out and slapped my leg hard, "Spread your legs. You're already pregnant. Stop pretending to be a virgin! I hate bitches like you the most. You're young but already know how to seduce men. You're nothing but a despicable, uneducated whore."
