Sheila walked over to Milan's counter and placed her both hands on the desk, resting her weight on it. "Hey, Milan." She cited. "I sent something to the printer, do print it out for me."
Milan's gaze was fixated solely on the system before her, with her fingers doing wonders on it before. "Sure,I'lL." She replied almost immediately in, rushing her words. "After I'm done with this write-ups, I need to have them finished before..."
The impatient side of Sheila took over her as she cut Milan off abruptly, giving her no chance to complete her words. "There is no later or after, Milan, and leave whatever you are busy with immediately." Sheila doped out, countering. "I want it done now, I need to deliver it to boss as soon as she arrives."
Milan sighs, not buying the idea of leaving her typing, but she has no other choice to it -she will have to do as told. "Sure, just a few seconds..."She lazily muttered, standing up from her seat to the other side of the counter.
A minute or two later, Milan came back with a printed slip with her and handed it over to Sheila, her face was clouded in curiosity. "What's this, Sheila?" She asked with sheer interest. "This mail is from the Lerman's company, right? Is boss in a contract deal with him?"
Sheila nodded curtly, multiple times, before speaking again. "Yeah, sort of-and it's a nice deal at that." She said to her. "I might need your assistant with this; I don't know yet if I'll be needing your help, but this is on boss's order."
"Will I get to follow you to the Lerman's company?" Milan uttered in a hushed tone, hiding how much she wanted to squeal. "I'll, right? I'll get to go with you to the company itself if I'm needed with you, isn't it?"
Sheila was already getting bored and needed to go back to her duty post. "Did you not say you have some important write-ups to type, eh?" She muttered in questioning as she stares towards the entrance, her gaze caught a glimpse of a familiar silhouette. "Ah -look, Milan, it's the boss. Get back to work, she wouldn't want to see us chatting while at work."
"I know, right." Milan muffled out as she quickly withdraws back to her initial position, her gaze settled on the system and her fingers back to doing it usual wonders on it keyboard. Sheila chuckled softly, every one working in the firm hate to cross their limit, knowing it wouldn't go well with their boss -not even a bit.
"Ma'am..."Sheila called out, attracting Ciara's attention to herself, and quickly uttered a greeting. Ciara was just resuming for the day, after wasting more than enough time at home with Herzl before coming to work.
She stopped abruptly at the call and turned towards Sheila, her brows raised in questioning. "What's the news?" She requested in a flat tone -she knew the only reason Sheila stopped her was that she'll had something important to tell.
"I received a mail from the Lerman's company earlier this morning." Sheila replied, handling Ciara the printed slip. "Here is the mail, I had it printed out already."
Ciara collected the slip from her and went through the content, her brows creased lightly with a bemused expression on her face. "He did not even let this last three days before sending his reply, eh?" She asked with a snicker. "-he already agreed to this too, huh? I see..."
Sheila smiled slowly. "I told you, ma'am: he has no other choice than to reply positively to this, no one is sane enough to let such a wonderful offer slip off his grip -not even Mr. Lerman himself."
"This came too faster than I ever imagined, Sheila, and I find it weird, don't you?" Ciara's uttered slowly, drawling her words.
"Maybe he was in so much hurry, or he did not want this to slip away from his grip. Well, yeah, it's just an assumption." Sheila fielded her boss's question. "Whatever his reason for this might be, that should not matter, ma'am. The fruitful part of it is his positive answer, which he already agreed to."
"I know, right but..."Ciara trailed off, swallowing the rest of her words to herself. She imagined; for Ryan to accept this in such a hurry, that only mean whatever that happen to him is severe and in his desperate state and would do anything at the moment.
Slowly, Ciara's bored expression was replaced with a smirk on her face. "A little change to the contract won't hurt, would it?" She doped out rhetorically, earning a confused expression from Sheila, who seems to be thrown into darkness due to her boss's sudden change of facial look. "Ah -I guess it won't. Right!"
"Come with me, Sheila, I have something else on mind." She told her, already taking her steps to leave. "Something, yeah -but this is very much fascinating than what I have on the table already. A change of plan, I would say."
Sheila was even more confused, her face crumpled with no clue about what her boss was saying. 'What change of plan and to what...?' She couldn't help but wonder in amusement. Having no answer to her ponder and remembering what her boss had just said a moment ago, she hastily left her spot, following her boss's trail.
"What did you have on mind this time, ma'am?" Sheila asked, trying to catch up with Ciara's pace, but her voice was faint enough -her words were coming out in a rush.
"Ah -stop pestering and asking questions, Sheila." Ciara told her, doping out as she entered the elevator. "Be patient and just come in, you will see what I have in store soon enough."
Sheila only shrugs her shoulders and quickly entered the elevator after her boss before its door closed. In the elevator, none said anything until it arrived at the fifth floor and Ciara rushed out immediately the door opened, Sheila following suit in a hastily.
Immediately they got to her office, she brought out the supposed documents needed for the agreement and offer and dropped it on her desk. "This is useless now, it wouldn't be needed any longer." She said and in return, earns a much more complicated look from Sheila, like she was speaking in some strange language.
Sheila did not bother to conceal her obfuscated expression, her confusion reflecting clearly on her face. "I don't get you, ma'am, why won't you be needing it anymore? You know how impo..." She was still saying...
Ciara cut her off all of a sudden, interrupting her phrase and sending the remaining words back into her throat. "I told you it's now useless, did I not?" She tried not to sound offended.
"I'm sorry, ma'am..."
Ciara waved it off. "I have something more interesting on my mind, a kind of offer anyone wouldn't dream of rejecting -not even me if I were to be in his shoes."
Sheila was mesmerized at her boss's sudden change of plan, she might not know what it is all about yet, but she knows whatever she has up her sleeves, she's definitely cooking up something huge...
