Triumph Of My Cheating Husband

Chapter 86

Ch. 86 / 196 Sep 18, 2024

Ciara walked into the room, her heels clicking on the hardwood floor. The room was dimly lit, with only a single lamp casting a circle of light in the center of the room. She took a deep breath and tried to steady her nerves. She knew what she had to do.

"Hello, uncles." She said, her voice cold and level. "I'm glad you could both make it to this level, we have a lot to discuss, but it doesn't matter anymore -I'll make it a brief talk."

"What do you want from us?" Brandon asked, his voice trembling slightly, but Ferdinand remained silent, his eyes fixed on the floor. Ciara regarded them both with a steely gaze.

"You had us suffered enough, what else do you want?"

"I want you to pay for what you did." She lilted, her voice hard as steel. "You both deserve to be punished for your crimes -if you are lucky, you will survive the process."

"You can't do this to us, Ciara!" Ferdinand protested, finally finding his voice. "We're family! We made a mistake, but you can't take the law into your hands like this."

Ciara's eyes flashed with anger. "You're right, I can't take the law into my hands." She said, her voice low and dangerous. "But I can make sure you're both brought to justice, you're not going to get away with what you did."

Ferdinand and Brandon's voice seized, already knowing the conversation wouldn't yield any better. She has her mind made up already -she will not back down until they end up in six feet like her parents.

Ferdinand paled, and Uncle Brandon's eyes darted around the room, as if searching for a way out, but there was no escape. Ciara had them cornered, and they knew it; they will have to face whatever she throws at them.

"-and as for Uncle Kent." Ciara continued, her icy tone remaining the same. "I'll be paying him a visit soon; not soon -it's today. He'll get what's coming to him, just like the two of you."

Brandon began to tremble, his eyes wide with fear. "Please, Ciara, don't go to Kent." He pleaded, his lips quivering. "He's not well, he's in the hospital! You can't do this to him, you can't!"

Ciara stared at him, her expression stoic and hard. "I have to." She said, her voice cold and firm. "He's just as guilty as the two of you. He's not getting away with what he did."

"But he's sick!" Uncle Brandon cried in despair, his heart sinking deep into his stomach. "You can't do this to a sick man!"

"I'm afraid I can, and I will." Ciara replied, unmoved by his pleas. "I won't be swayed by sentimentality or pity. The three of you deserve to be punished for what you did, and I won't stop until that happens. You all should have thought about your deed twice before proceeding into it."

Uncle Brandon's eyes filled with tears, and he sank to his knees, his shoulders heaving with sobs. Ferdinand could only watch, silent and pale, as if he'd already accepted his fate, but Ciara didn't care. She had made up her mind, and nothing was going to change it -not their countless pleas or their unending cries.

Ciara stood there, her gaze unwavering, as Uncle Brandon sobbed at her feet. She felt a flicker of sympathy for him, but she forced herself to ignore it. She couldn't afford to be weak, not now. Not when she was so close to justice she felt her parents deserves!

She looked at Ferdinand, who was staring at her with an unreadable expression on his face. She wondered what he was thinking, but she couldn't allow herself to get distracted. Likewise, she had a mission, and she would see it through to the end.

After a moment, Uncle Ferdinand spoke, his voice shaking slightly. "You're going to ruin our family with your so-called justice." He said, his eyes fixed on the floor. "We'll never recover from this, you should know better."

Ciara's heart twinged regretfully, but she pushed it down. "Your family was already ruined, uncle Ferdinand." She said told him, authority laced in her voice. "The moment you decided to commit your crimes, you sealed your fate. You have no one to blame but your inconsiderate selves."

"But that doesn't change the fact that you're about to destroy everything I hold dear, which is the family." Ferdinand told her, his weak gaze narrowed.

"I'm not trying to destroy anything," Ciara said, her tone empathetic but unwavering. "But I can't let you get away with what you've done. You've caused too much pain, and if someone has to pay for your all misdeeds -I'm sorry it has to be you, but that's the way it has to be."

Ferdinand's eyes were pleading with the fear of losing all he had ever cared or wished for, but Ciara remained firm. She couldn't let herself be swayed by emotions -she had to be strong. Justice was more important than anything else.

As Ciara spoke, Uncle Brandon rose to his feet, his shoulders slumped in defeat. "Please, Ciara." He began slowly after taking in a deep breath, his voice hoarse. "There must be another way. We're family -can't you find it in your heart to forgive us?"

Ciara's eyes softened, but she shook her head. "I can't forgive you." He said, her voice soft but firm. "Not when you've caused so much pain, but I'm not trying to destroy you. I'm just trying to make things right."

Ciara steeled herself, her resolve strengthened by her determination to protect her son. No matter how much Uncle Ferdinand and Uncle Brandon pleaded, she would not back down. They had hurt too many people, and she would make sure they paid fortheir crimes. She would not let her son become a victim like she had been.

She straightened her shoulders and looked at the two men in front of her, her expression resolute. "My decision is final." She said, her voice steady. "You will pay for your crimes, and you will not harm anyone else. That is all."

As Ciara turned to leave the room, Uncle Brandon called out to her. "Wait, Ciara." He pleaded, his voice desperate. "Please, don't do this. There must be another way!"

But Ciara didn't turn back. She kept walking, her head held high. She knew that she was doing the right thing, and she would not let anyone, not even her family, change her mind. She had made her decision, and she would stand by it, no matter what...
