Triumph Of My Cheating Husband

Chapter 78

Ch. 78 / 196 Sep 18, 2024

Ciara's anger was boiling, gradually developing into rage, but she had to tame her anger and keep it in check, else it might ruin the call and make her uncle, Brandon, get suspicious. She still needs to know more about their hidden secrets that she's yet to know and also, gather enough proof to use against them.

Gerald, on the other hand, felt disgusted by the two men who considered themselves relatives and still proceeded with their hideous act -he still finds it hard that they are being proud of themselves to have their brother and his wife murdered and still want their niece dead.

How far will they have to go again if Ciara had not found out about the truth on time? Would they have murdered her as they had been planning for years, and forcefully take over what her parents had toiled for day and night?

Different thoughts ran through Gerald's mind, and he wished Ciara would give him, at least, a chance; just for him to deal mercilessly with them and give them what men like them truly deserve!

"Are you still there, Ferdinand?" Brandon's was almost yelling on the phone, snapping Gerald and Ciara off their train of thoughts. "Are you listening to me at all?" "Of course, I am all ears, Don!" Ferdinand was quick with his reply, wading off any suspicion that Brandon might start developing -the truth is he would rather not get Ciara pissed off with his reactions because he feared the outcome of it.

In as much as he wanted to adhere to the order Ciara gave him, he was feeling uncomfortable with the way Brandon kept blurting out what was supposed to be between the three brothers and which he could stop him before he had the chance to go extreme -he can't because he wouldn't dare!

"I'm still on the phone." Ferdinand continued slowly, after heaving out a deep sigh. "-I've been mute because I think it's rude to interrupt you when you are still talking, you know!"

"Oh, I see, but I still need to remind you of the deal we all had from the start, Ferdinand." Brandon uttered, his voice was sharp and stern, leaving no room for any emotion in it.

"Remind me of what deal, Brandon?" Ferdinand, find himself asking before he got the chance to stop the words from coming out of his mouth. Ferdinand knew he had just made a big mistake with his question; because Brandon would see this as a chance to start another epistle of his.

"Did you forget already?" Brandon asked, his voice was clearly reflecting how surprised he was at Ferdinand's question."-that the better each of us play our part, the more share you will have in Fellers' properties -since we can't let Ciara have such a huge fortune to herself when we are still alive." Brandon's voice was sharp and stern, disgust laced it in as he mentioned Ciara.

"I know, the reason why I played my part so well." Ferdinand forced out the words from his lips.

"Good, so none of us will have nothing to lose at the end." Brandon sounded like he was impressed with Ferdinand's reply -yeah, why won't he? "I heard she's now a shareholder in her ex -husband's Company too, that bitch is going too far, and we need to stop her before she slips off our grip!"

Ciara was shocked that her uncle found out about what was supposed to be private, she hadn't made it official yet and no one aside both companies knew that Ryan had sold off part of his company already. If her uncle should find out about this when no one has; it only means someone around her is tipping him off with her information!

"You need not to worry about her again, Don. She's now my cup of tea, and I'll take care of her more than you and Kent expected." Even though Ferdinand did not want to say words to implicate himself, he couldn't help because that is who he really is. "I believe she's doing the hard work on our behalf, Don -look on the bright side, too."

"There is nothing bright on the other side to look at, Ferdinand, I wish she's dead already." Brandon uttered with so much hatred laced in his voice -there was no trail of emotion as he uttered the words. "And her son too, that little brat is not left out, he needs to die miserably as his mother will, soon."

Ciara almost choked on her breath as she heard her uncle's hateful speech! 'Why is that old hag filled with hatred?' She asked herself, but couldn't get any answer for it. Ciara used to think Ferdinand was the worst among the three brothers, but she turns out to be wrong -Brandon is no way better than him, he's another old psycho filled with hatred!

"Brandon..."Ferdinand tried to caution Brandon on his choice of words, seeing Ciara's reaction, but Brandon didn't seem to have the intention of quitting his hate words.

"Don't put words back in my mouth, Fred!" Brandon yelled on the other side of the phone. "Even without seeing him yet, his existence is already a pain in my neck-It's better he dies now because if he should grow up, he will eventually come back and ask for what is rightfully his mother's. So, we need not to leave any trail behind; every of it needs to be completely wiped out!"

Ferdinand finds perfect sense in Brandon's words, but it's all useless now -all their years of planning and carrying out their hideous act is about to go down the drain! He wondered if Ciara will let them live to tell the tale; he doubts that she would!

Ciara was already tired of listening to their conversation, she had had enough of it. It has to stop, else, she doubts if she will be strong enough to hold the anger and rage she's been holding inside her for a couple of minutes.

-and that Brandon himself, Ciara wished she could pounce on him that moment, but he's no where in sight. She needed him to also have a taste of her wrath, not that she's done with Ferdinand, but having an extra person would surely make a good party. If only her older uncle, Kent, isn't bedridden at the moment...

"Tell him that you guys should meet, uncle Ferdinand." Ciara whispered quietly to him.

Ferdinand was skeptical, but he has to do as ordered. "This sounds like a good idea, Don, I should have thought about this too." He uttered, careless with his words. "Let's meet somewhere and talk better on it."

"Yeah, we really should." Brandon enunciated in agreement. "At our usual place of meet, right?"

Ciara shook her head in disapproval. "Tell him it's somewhere else, that you will text him the address of the new location." She told him.

"No, I want us to meet elsewhere." Ferdinand said as told. "I'll text you the address after this call comes to an end."

"Where is this new place and how far is it from my home?"

Ferdinand sighed, breathing in slowly. "You don't have to worry much about the transportation, Don, I'll ask my cab man to come pick you up at your place..."
