Triumph Of My Cheating Husband

Chapter 52

Ch. 52 / 196 Sep 18, 2024

"Ah -Here it is..."Ciara uttered after her satisfying nod and urged Sheila to take the sheet from her. "...have it."

Sheila collected the worksheet from Ciara as proposed and went through its content cautiously as ever. The beginning of the content wasn't new to Sheila, it was the same as she has expected it after she's been told about the shareholding.

Slowly getting indulged in the content she was reading, Sheila's face crumpled down into a deep frown, her brows were knotted with a few visible lines on her forehead -the company's name was enough to force her into having such an expression on her face because she finds it strange.

When she heard a company was needing investors and shareholders, as usual, Sheila's thought was that it was one of those few companies that did not have the audience enough to get to the spotlight -not a company like the one contained in what she was reading.

'T -the Lerman's Company?' She asked with in herself as her brows were further creased in obfuscation and surprise, itwas far from her expectation. 'How is this possible...?'

Sheila doubted if it's the same Ryan Lerman she has heard different news about and how successful he's been in the past few years-not the same Ryan Lerman that has the wealth and fame in the business field. Talk of business and how successful the men are; he is the main spotlight in the States.

Ryan Lerman.

Sheila raised her gaze to meet her boss and in return, as if Ciara was reading Sheila's mind, she nodded to whatever question she might have wanted to ask; with her eyes and look. "Yes, he is the same Ryan you've heard about, Sheila." Ciara countered in a flat tone. "Don't act or look surprise about it, just proceed with it as ordered."

Sheila shook her head in disbelief. "This is baffling, why would Ryan of all businessmen need a shareholder and investors for his company?" She wondered aloud in questioning, finding the answer more obfuscating. "I mean, he has everything -the wealth and the fame too, there is no reason for him to need a shareholder for his company."

Ciara only shrugged her shoulders, giving no reply to Sheila -she sees no reason why she would. Ciara was certain that for Sheila to think this way, definitely, any other person who learnt about this too would think the same; humans barely reason differently in such case as this, though.

"-or maybe, he needed to let the company go but doesn't want to give it up completely? Possibly he finds it better than selling it off completely, who knows?" Sheila added to her phrase, hearing no reply from her boss.

-same thing Gerald had thought, but it turns out everyone's thoughts and theory were wrong; it was far from all of this. Ciara's thought as lips unconsciously curled up into a lopsided smile. Even though it wasn't that visible, Sheila noticed it and was partly surprised at it.

"Well, he could have his reasons for it." Ciara lilted airily, her voice was flat. "Whatever the reason maybe, who cares? I'm only interested in the business I'll be doing with him with this. You know what I mean?"

Sheila nodded knowingly in agreement. "Yeah, true -no one cares and definitely not Ms. Fellers either..."She cited with a sense of humor, earning a soft chuckle from Ciara with it.

"You know this better than anyone, don't you?" Ciara said with a trail of her fading smile on her face. "-and I might even get to have the whole company to myself in disguise as a shareholder too."

Ciara would have loved the idea of buying the whole company out at once but no... She wanted him to lose the company little by little because she needed him to feel the pain of gradually losing something you hold dear.

Sheila, on the other hand, creased her brows in confusion, she's never heard of such thing from Ciara. Why would she be interested in the company itself? That means...

She was utterly surprised when she realized it was Ryan Lerman's company that needed a shareholder -what was more surprising was Ciara's intention, is her boss really going to do this?

"This isjust a probability as mentioned, right? You aren't going to do it." Sheila wanted to be certain she wasn't the one hearing things all of a sudden.

"Pardon my manners, did I say might?" Ciara uttered rhetorically. "It's not a probability, Sheila -I'm actually doing this." She paused when she saw the surprised look on Sheila.

Ciara could only smile. "Think this as a business strategy, think of how much we are going to gain from this -the company got the limelight already, I might convert it as our company's branch on the outskirt of the States. Did you think this way before concluding?"

Sheila knows her boss has always been smart, always thinking one step ahead of others -that was why she has managed to overshadow many in the business field. In less than three years, the company had managed to get the limelight with no sign of blurring out soon -not in years, either.

"I'm sorry, ma'am. Pardon my shortcoming, I should have thought that way when I'm supposed to." She said to Ciara, apologetically and with a slight bow.

"That doesn't matter..."Ciara waved it off. "You'll follow the prompt, remember to keep my identity anonymous -I don't want it busted; at least not now." "You have this all planned already, ma'am, I'll just do as told." Sheila said, slightly delightful.

"Yeah, please, do." She doped out in response like she's in a haste to whatever was needed to be done. "I trust this with you, you can ask for assistance from Milan if you ever need one -she can act as your assistance or secretary, maybe." "As always, I supposed." Sheila said with a small smile. She always loved it when she's to act in Ciara's place, it's only expresses how much how boss trusts her-just like Gerald, she's close to Ciara and mostly confides in her with her personal issues when needed.

To Sheila, she sees this as another reason to prove herselfworthy of Ciara's unending trust for her, as she always did...
