"Patrick, it's not because of her, right?" Sean asked as he tapped the table with his finger.
Patrick didn't say anything. Stewart leaned forward and asked with a gossipy expression, "Because of her? Who?"
Since Sean did not speak, Stewart smiled and asked nosily, "Alpha Patrick, have you found your mate? Which pack does she belong to? When can we get to meet her, your future Luna?"
Sean said gloatingly, "Stewart, I think you will get beaten if you ask more."
"Go away! I'm asking Patrick. Alpha Patrick, who is the woman?" continued Stewart.
In the next second, a fist came toward Stewart's curious face. Stewart was shocked. He quickly dodged and then patted his chest. "What the fuck! Patrick, you caught me off guard!"
Sean smiled and said, "Idiot. What did I say? If you ask more, you will get beaten up. You didn't believe me. You deserve it."
Stewart looked suspiciously between Sean and Patrick. Suddenly, he realized something. He said, "Sean, is it Gloria?"
With a bang, Patrick punched Stewart hard.
"I'm right! I'm sure of it!" Stewart clutched his chest that had been punched. Then he said, "Patrick, tell me now! What happened while I was away?"
Stewart's eyes were glowing and he looked gossipy. Patrick's cold gaze fell on him.
Patrick asked calmly, "Do you prefer fists or slaps?"
Sean tugged Stewart, pulled Stewart behind him, looked over his shoulder at Patrick behind his desk, and asked, "What are your plans exactly?"
Patrick stopped spinning the pen in his hand. After a while, he put the pen on the desk and narrowed his eyes.
Sean did not urge him.
Patrick suddenly raised his head and said to Sean, "I want that Gloria from three years ago."
After Patrick finished speaking, both Sean and Stewart were stunned.
"You can't go back in time," Sean said regretfully. "She is who she is now. You can't change her."
"I never thought of changing her," Patrick said with a serious expression. "I don't like the way she is now. Without dignity, self-esteem, or a soul, she is not Gloria anymore."
"Since she's not the one she used to be, you don't need to keep an eye on her anymore." In Sean's opinion, Patrick was just inviting trouble. As far as Sean was concerned, if Patrick didn't like Gloria, there was no need for him to go see her.
"If she wants to leave, just let her go," Sean added, since Patrick didn't say anything.
To his surprise, Patrick's reaction after hearing his suggestion was very fishy.
Patrick's expression immediately turned serious. He said coldly, "No way! She can forget about that idea!"
Stewart sensed that something was off.
"Patrick, you're doomed," Sean said.
Stewart, who had always been flippant, stopped smiling. He kept a serious look and said, "Do you know about Stockholm syndrome? You are quite the opposite of that."
"So, she is the reason why you have stopped going to Fittro Club? What about her? You don't want to see her? Or are you afraid to see her?" Sean was a doctor after all. He hit the nail on the head!
"How could that be?" Patrick immediately denied it. He was the Alpha of the Black Thorn Pack. He was never afraid.
"You have already accepted her as your mate," Stewart said.
Patrick sneered and said, "That is impossible!"
Stewart asked, "If not, then why haven't you been going to Fittro Club recently?"
"I'm too busy to go there," said Patrick.
Sean and Stewart looked at each other. Neither of them bought it.
"Patrick, you are afraid to see Gloria, who has become so hideous, right? She insulted Gabrielle in front of you and me that day, saying that Gabrielle deserved to die.
